Haha, I just read the posts about the flamers. I'm a little late on that. >.> I think those people need to pick up a dictionary at some point in their pathetic exsistence.
3nodding They should look up
Grammar then
Spelling. hehe Then they would know the difference and shut the hell up. Then again, they would deny us our fun. Personally, I believe both are equally important. If either is missing, then the sentence cannot be understood. (Well, maybe it could. But you would have a headache by the end of it.) Let me think of an example. Hmmmmm...... Let's pick on the requests for a moment. (Note: These are changed for my purposes)

Joining Reason: hey i dont want really to join i just want to tell you that you are not cool at all you need to look through the damn guilds before you start a guild in more simple words their was already a damn spelling nazis guild it were called the grammer nazis sigh good luck though I guessed such greed in this world hehehe
Now in this one, I have taken out all the grammar. You read it and tell me what he/she/it meant. Without grammar, you lose the meaning, emphasis, since of time, and it makes you look stupid. Without grammar, it is a run-on sentence. Without grammar, there is no capitolization, punctuation, or all around collectivness(s?) of the paragraph. It loses all meaning therefore loseing all effectness and makes you look like an utter dumbass.

*Sigh*
Gud luk tho, I gues.
Suh greed in tis wuld. Hehehe.
Meh, that took for ever. And it was very painful. BUT.... I must do it to prove my point. Now, with out spelling, but with grammar, you can atleast tell where the breaks are and kinda what he/she/it means. But to grasp the full meaning of what is said, you must act like you are stupid and try to sound out what he/she/it is saying. Without spelling, emphasis is lost, utterly. People are so distracted by the bad spelling and the deceifering there of, that they do not grasp the messege.
So, in conclusion class, if you have one, but lack the other, you lose the sentence and the meaning. Therefore both are equally important. While spelling is utterally noticable just by glanceing at it, grammar must be present for you to grasp emphasis.
Now, were the two guilds are concerned. Each puts more emphasis one ONE of the two. We care more about spelling, BUT that does not mean we don't care about grammar, we just over look it because in the English language it is hard to understand. So we are more leaniant(s?) about it. BUT the other guild finds that grammar is as important as spelling. So they correct it more. Of course, both guilds are full of intellectuals, so we correct both. But, the Spelling Nazis correct more spelling, and the Grammar Nazis correct more grammar. Together, we are making Gaia a more literate place.
So, I think I have clearly stated that spelling and grammar are two SEPERATE but EQUAL pieces of the english language. But of course, we all already knew that, didn't we.
