Alex shrugged her shoulders. "Can't call off work for a sick day? Bummer." she said, then paused. "Will you please calm down this time? Unless we get invaded by zombies and aliens or the freaking ocean falls in on us, the City isn't going anywhere. We have all day."

Lucas forced himself to take a steadying breath, and nodded. "Sure, okay.... Sorry," he said, rubbing the back of his neck in an embarrassed manner.
