Kekkon stalked through the forest of their tribe lands, searching for food. Snow blanketed the ground, but fortunately the harsh winter conditions had lightened up quite a bit. It was now a lot easier for them to function. Well, those who were still functioning anyway. A lot of bad things had happened to the tribe during that encounter with Frenka. Kekkon let out a low growl merely at the thought of him. That b*****d... He would be tempted to hunt him down if it wasn't for the fact that he was still their elder.
His growl seemed to have startled a nearby snow hare, for it leapt across the past in front of him, frantically heading for it's underground lair. The small creature wasn't fast enough to get past Kekkon's hunter instincts and Sharigan however. In an instant he had snatched up the hare and snapped it's neck in two. Hmm, now who in the tribe needs this the most at the moment... Yuurei. With that decided, Kekkon started on his way back towards the cave in which they all resided.
--------------------------------------
Akakumo stood at the top of the Akatsuki cliffs, looking out over all of the tribe land. Though he wandered out of the tribe from time to time, he spent most of his time with his assigned tribe. The whole group was rather a mess at the moment. If this keeps up, the tribe might have to assign a new elder, the guardian mused to himself, watching the various foxes move about below. A tribe isn't meant to function on it's own for this long...

exclaim exclaim exclaim Akatsuki Announcement exclaim exclaim exclaim Alright, guess what guys? THIS PLACE NEEDS LIFE!!! I know it's been a very slow time for the Modifoxes, but we shouldn't let it die . . . Anyways, we're changing the season, plot, and a lot of other things. So here we go~ First things first: We do all remember our little Frenka issue, ne? Sasu and I have decided to cancel that. You guys will never figure out our intentions >8D *Shot* So, Frenka's back to being the Elder, Akatsu dormant within Frenka and completely under control, with the occasional mind torture within his dreams. Secondly: Time Skip~ Well . . . Not really . . . Winter's adversities have passed, but not without effect. Most of the Tribe Members are emaciated, starving, and returning north back to the cliffs. The snow still remains, patching the land. Rainfall will soon become common, come late March/early April. From the top of the Cliffs, on can vaguely see the enormous clouds looming in the distance The Tribe Members are still not that tolerant of Frenka . . . Lacking his guidance, the entire tribe edged closer and closer to their utter doom. Therefore, only a select few accept him. Frenka, however, is tolerant of this behaviour and is certain his fellow tribe members will get over it eventually, even if that takes months. As for food, prey is emerging from their winter slumber, wary of the Modifoxes and other ravenous predators lurking in the shadows. The Shadow Forest will reek of blood once prey becomes more abundant and easy to find with the desperate, starving Tribe around. So then, let's get to that RPing~ ;3 As far as the ban on Hunters and Scouts go, the Ban is STILL IN PLAY!!! Until the Gatherer and Carer positions get evened out, the ban is still active. We may consider opening the SHAMAN position for ONE MORE APPLICANT but that's still only a MAYBE! Don't count on it and you probably will have to convince us for that job. On another note, Sasu and I dearly love you all and will love to see you all active again. That's no lie my friends~ :3 Love ~ Sasu and Shi

(Shiv! ^^ Yay for life and semi-normal elder! XD lol.)
Kekkon hungrily sank his fangs into the neck of the poor deer that he had hunted down. Normally he would have been quicker to snap it's neck and put the creature out of it's misery, but he was simply too thrilled at the catch to really care right away. After all, he and the rest of the tribe were a rather frightful sight at the moment and him even being able to bring down the beast was a miracle in of itself. Coming slightly back to his senses however, he ended the deer's life as it struggled beneath him.
Although his body wanted him to just dive on into the kill, he held himself back, knowing that the welfare of the rest of the tribe members came first. Still, he licked up some of the blood that had fallen onto the snow, making for a rather interesting treat. Now to somehow get this to the others...
-------------------------------
Fortunately for Kekkon, he wouldn't be having to do all that much work. Flying above the treetops as usual, Akakumo had spotted the successful kill. The dragon let out a large roar that echoed through the tribe lands, in order to notify the rest of the modifoxes of the meal. He stayed flying over the area to serve as a sort of marker in case they couldn't follow the origin of his call.

Seika, probably one of the first to hear the triumphant roar, licked her lips. She was already drooling with the thought of food. Oh dear blood . . . She missed it. Sprinting off, she growled, partly because of her stomach's ridiculously loud growl. She was so thin . . . Most of the tribe was. Especially Konton . . . The woman didn't want to eat anything herself . . . She scowled. One day, Seika would knock sense into her.
She snarled. She was malnutritioned, her leg not completely healed . . . One could see the prominent crack in the bone because her skin was so tight around her skeleton.
She could smell the kill . . . The scent filled her nose, almost overwhelming her. Her pace picked up. Now she could see it . . . Blood stained the damp grass. Her jaw dropped and her lips twisted into a malevolent smile. "Good work, Kekkon." She stated, her sadistic tone returning to her. To think she taught the child . . . A little.
Akuma heard the roar as well, smiling. What would they do without that guardian? It may have awoken her from her slumber in the trees, but it was a good awakening. She stretched herself out, yawning. Her prominent ribs and hips seemed to move beneath her skin. She flicked her tail, the tail rings sliding around on the thin extremity.
She hopped down from it, her bracelets jingling with the landing. She could make out of silhouettes of Kekkon, Seika, and the kill. Akakumo loomed overhead, hovering above them. She trotted over, a smile on her face. "I hope everyone else gets her fast . . ." She chuckled. "I want to begin eating as soon as possible . . ."
At the edge of the Sea of Sorrows, the place where she nearly died the year before, Konton heard the roar . . . It was like a clear gong drumming in her head. Her lips twisted into a faint smile, happy that the tribe would get food. She on the other paw, didn't want it. She was emaciated, thinner than everyone in the tribe. She knew it wasn't good for her, sacrificing her meals for them. But what could she do? She couldn't see them suffer.
But, it wasn't like things weren't bound to get better. Frenka was back . . . The harsh winter was over. The tribe was still alive . . . They were going to get better . . . She could feel it.

Kekkon gave a small nod of acknowledgment to Seika's compliment before he sat back on his haunches to wait for the others. Two had arrived thus far, but that was hardly the whole tribe. The black and red fox hated how terribly emaciated everyone was, for it reflected greatly on his poor hunting skills during the winter months. Granted there was hardly any food to be had and his fur stood out like a sore thumb in the snow, he still took the blame upon himself. With the coming of spring however, he would be able to hopefully help play a part in the revival of the tribe's health.

He had kept his distance from tribe. The elder found it useful to, he was fully aware that one of his own could turn on him, and attack him. Frenka knew the circumstances of this, since what had happened to him only a month ago. He was able to control the spirit that had taken over him. Keeping the angered spirit dormant.
Though, it still haunted his dreams at times. Frenka didn't have any remedies to these dreams, and kept them hidden from the others. They wouldn't want another scare, now wouldn't they.
Carefully the black elder was padding through the forest. His pace was light and slow, as if he was thinking of something. However, in the distance a deer was nibbling grass that had been unmasked by the melting snow. Frenka's eyes rested hungrily on the deer, crouching down, ready to spring at it.
Then the roar sounded through the forest. The deer swung it's head up to meet the elder's blood red eyes, before it shot through the forest.
Frenka gave chase, glancing up at the sky towards where the guardian might reside. He cursed under his breath lightly, looking back at the deer as it hopped among the twigs and rocks.

Konton sighed, standing up. The waves lapped at her black paws, reminding her of many things that have occurred in the tribe over the past few months. She has had better days, but she should be happy . . . Frenka was . . . Semi-normal and the tribe was falling back into place from its disoriented state.
She could smell the Elder in the distance. No one really accepted him at the moment . . . That is aside from herself, Akuma, possibly Sheba, and a couple others . . . That was probably what was troubling her. She hoped Frenka could control Akatsu, even though his outlets were limited.
She padded to him, smiling, her skeleton threatening to break out of her skin. "I figured you'd be avoiding everyone else." She teased, her tail wagging back and forth. She noticed the deer merrily skipping away and sighed. Her claws made a quick swipe and a mouse lay dead next to her paw, blood glistening on the end of her black claws. "Eat, you need it." She urged, nudging the carcass over to him.

Seika's mouth watered and she grumbled. "Where is the rest of the tribe and that good-for-nothing Elder?!" She snapped. The deer's freshness would fade if the rest of the tribe didn't come here soon, along with that disgrace she had to call an Elder. Even if he saved her when she and Koana were kits, that doesn't change what he did in the winter.
Akuma snarled at Seika, tail lashing. How dare she insult her older brother! Did she not know that he was possessed?! Her claws sprang out, her ghastly eyes narrowing at the red female. She was not going to take that disrespect for her brother. Never.
Seika hissed back at Akuma in response. Her red eyes narrowed as well. She understood that she was his brother, but what did that matter? It was because of him that the tribe almost died, it was because of him that they all almost died, it was because of HIM that her kits almost died. How could she forgive him?! Messed up vixen . . .

"Enough," Kekkon said harshly, closing his eyes in aggravation. "This tribe's had enough fighting as it is. We don't need petty quarrels added to it." Considering their circumstances, it was easy for minor disputes to start amongst the tribe members. However, this was definitely not healthy for the tribe as a whole.
The black and red male opened his eyes again and studied the carcass before them. His tail swished in agitation behind him. "If no one else comes within a few more minutes, let's go ahead and eat a little bit. Then perhaps you two could help me to drag it back to the cave."

"I agree with Kekkon."
The black and white male happened to appear at the scene. His red eyes, which faded to white at the end, flashed with small anger. It was quite obvious he was sick of all of this fighting. Swishing his tail in another direction his gaze seemed to rest on Seika for a moment. It wasn't common for him to become angry now, these days.
Koana sat down, his tail coiling forward to drop herbs, which were bunched up together. They landed near his paws. "I found these while scouting the forest. They will be good for any injuries," Koana shot Seika a calm look, "Just in case Frenka happens to return and... If any of the tribe members suddenly show hostility towards him."
With that the Shaman took the herbs and headed for the Shaman den.
Frenka looked down at the small mouse. Instead of bending down to eat away at it, he scooted it over to Konton. His red eyes were looking off into the distance when he had shoved the mouse over to her.
His ears flicked down. Sahari... He stopped himself from letting out a long sigh. Ever since their last meeting, he had been looking off into the distance, hoping he would see her gray pelt in the sunlight.
"I'm not hungry," Frenka smiled lightly and looked back at her. The demon's possesion of his hunger had not worn off yet. He had not been hungry for quite sometime actually, and had nibbled on berries instead from meat. He thought the demon would come back with the smell of meat, or the taste. "Eat it yourself."

Akuma's mouth closed and she turned to glare at Kekkon. He was right, dare she admit it. Sighing, she quickly turned away from Seika, her tail lashing in anger. The fool didn't know what she was talking about. "I guess . . ." Akuma muttered the reply to Kekkon.
She turned her head to Koana. He was doing the job the best . . . She raced after him. "Jeez . . . You waste no time restocking now do you?" She teased with a bit of a smirk.
Seika snarled one last time at Akuma before turning to the carcass as well. "Whatever . . ." She growled, sitting beside the kill. She was ravenous. She didn't bother to look at Koana, who she guessed was probably harshly glaring at her. She'd bet her meal on it . . .
Konton frowned, her tail drooping down. She glanced at the mouse, sighing. If it made him happy . . . She leaned over and nibbled at it. Her stomach wasn't used to big chunks of food. Her eyes averted up to see him gazing out into the distance, as if waiting for something. She took a wild guess, but didn't say anything about it. "What's on your mind?" She asked, raising her head from the mouse.

Danag had been running for a while. It was taking her too long to reach the others, in her opinion, and to make things worse, she couldn't help but notice how faint Akakumo's roar had grown by the time she was able to hear it. She hoped she wasn't holding them up, buut she couldn't push herself any more under the conditions.

Kekkon's stomach rumbled loudly while they waited and he turned his head away embarrassed. Having made the kill and already tasted the blood, his digestive juices had been set in motion and were waiting eagerly to break down something. "I hope you don't mind me starting a little," he said quietly, taking a small nibble from a piece of flesh nearest him. It took all of the will power within him to keep himself from ravenously tearing into the carcass. After all, he would most likely be moving it closer to the cave shortly.
Akakumo let out another roar before finally landing down next to the small group. His condition wasn't completely better off then that of the rest of the tribe, which only served to increase his already frightful appearance. "Hmm, I would have thought the tribe to sprint here," he remarked, scanning the area about them. "Perhaps they no longer have the strength even for that. For now you all should probably start eating."

Danag was relieved when, after Akakumo's second roar, she was able to hear him speaking to the other foxes. She slowed to a stop as she finally reached the group, and had to lie down to keep from collapsing on the spot. She decided to wait until the others had some food before she took her share.

Kekkon was relieved to see another fox finally come to the group, as he had felt bad about starting already. Even if it was only a little bit. "Good to see you, Danag," he greeted. "You guys can all feel free to start. There's plenty here for everyone."
"Sounds good to me," Akakumo replied, ripping off a small chunk of flesh for himself and stepping back with it so that the others had more room to move in. "Eat up."
