((No worries...Cheoro can just be there for a little bit.))
"No idea." Kara snapped at Cheoro. She then looked up at the Priest. "You'll have to excuse him, although he doesn't deserve it at the moment." She growled. She looked down at Rio's patched arm then back up at Ngurt. "I've done all I know how...do you know any medicine? Can you help him any?"

"All the antibiotics are there," said the priest, still speaking in Yoan; the only form of Mauchi he knew was the ancient mode required by priests in the church. "He appears to have been injected with something, not infected. Something was forced in to blood stream - look at his blue tinged skin and the cut has crystallised powder around it. It is possible a drug, paralysis or poison was laced on the weapon itself."
He looked up at the woman Kara. "If you knew anything about the weapon he was cut with or even the weilder of the weapon we might know what has done this."
((I just need to point out that Cheoro is a little overkill now. Mauchi above all people are religious and respect - most - religions and priests, even those from other countries and planets. The Mauchi were actually the first in history to have freedom of religion. That was long before they became mistrustful of outsiders, but ...))

((Um...Kara was asleep during the discussion of Gahn's sword, you know...I just checked))
Kara shook her head and glanced at Chris and then Cheoro. "I don't know. It could have been...it was a very strange looking sword...and the wielder..." She glanced over at Chris then back at the priest. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he laced it with something. When...Morgan...was cut, he passed out almost immediately." Kara gave a sigh.

"Hmm ... " mutter Ngurt meditativly. "Well, I'm no geinus in these matters, so we have best call someone who is."
He reached under his vestment and flicked on his microphone that doubled as a communication between church affiliates.
"Nardar, I need you in the atlar room," he muttered.
"On my way, sir," came back a much younger voice. Ngurt flick it back off.
"While we wait, would you mind telling this man's real name," he added, guestering to 'Morgan.' "If you can't, I quite understand."

Chris stood up and said in a clear voice, " The sword he was cut with had Paralyzing liquid on it. The weilder was my brother Gahn who killed my family a few month's ago and ever since i have been out for revenge. I might have some neuro toxins in my medicin bag but i would have to return to the Septra to get them."

But suddenly Ngurt, who could not understand a word Chris was saying, stood to geet a man hardly in to man hood walking across from the other side of the altar room. They exchanged greetings, then Ngurt introduced him to Kara.
"This is Nardar Hielon."
Nardar smiled at the lot of them and said, "I have just started my priest education."
"But before that he had gone through four years of college having graduated from school when he was twelve. He took most of the classes and knows many thing about chemical and drug weapons."
Nardar had already bent over Morgan's barely concious body. "He is very slowly regaining conciousness and he was beaten ... I believe this crytalline is a paralyis of some sort. The church has a shipment of vacinne next week, but we have none now."

Kara looked over at Chris as he started his familiar litany about his brother, Gahn, but shook her head at his mention of going back to the choppidu.
"It's not worth it." She told him. "I don't need both of you injured." She turned back to Ngurt, who had apparently summoned another priest and watched him lean over Rio.
She nodded to the new priest, and introduced herself, Chris and Cheoro, then hesitated, looking down at Rio, then back up at Ngurt. "I think it would be safer if we just went with 'Morgan' for the moment. I'm sorry." She glanced over at Chris a moment, then continued. "Chris said he knows the sword had paralysis liquid on the blade, but we don't have anything to treat it with either." She informed the pair of priests. She gave a sigh and looked down at Rio. "So, where can I get the vaccine, then?"

The priest and the studying priest traded glances.
"Well," said the younger hesitantly. "There is one place. It is a natural mineral that breaks down in the blood stream to form the antibodies. You can find it in a stream in a wild life area. It is underground, but, well - "
"There are strange creatures in there," said Ngurt, suddenly dropping his simple manner. His personna change anstonishingly; his age suddenly seemed appearent and yet at the same time unfathomable. His voice became deeper and his eyes darker. "Creatures that were created by Nargethien at the fall of the Yein Empire."
As he said that name all the terror and power that the evil lord had was present in that church and sunlight seemed to stop at the windows. Rio moved a little more viloently in his doze.
"You would be mad to attempt to breech them," whispered Nardar.

((lol, everybody loves side quests, right?!?))
Kara shushed Rio, brushing the hair back from his face, then looked back up at the two priests.
"I don't suppose you have any other way to heal him, do you?" She said, giving a sigh. She looked back down at Rio then over at Chris and Cheoro, who were waiting for her translation. She ignored their confused looks for the moment and instead focused on Ngurt and his apprentince.
"Do you know how to get there?"

((But in a good story side quests themselves help the overall plot.))
"I do," said Ngurt, "and though I can tell you at least are a tough fighter - " his eyes flickered towards the unexperianced, and frustrated, men behind her " - there are too many. At least forty guarding the entrance alone at all times. They hide more than antibody minerals in the caves so even if you do manage to make it past them you would have to find your way which I do not know - "
Rio stirred and finally opened his eyes weakly. "Where's ... my knife?"

Kara jumped as Rio moved, immediately losing interest in what the priest was saying. Behind her Chris asked for a translation, and she spared him a glance and a quick response. "I'll tell you in a second." She then looked back at Rio.
"Your knife? Why? What..." She trailed off, exceedingly confused. She shook her head after a second. "It's gone. I think Gahn has it, but I'm not sure." Kara's eyes scanned Rio's face, full of worry. "How do you feel?"
