Lillian watched the two, questioning on whether they were a couple or not due to Namini's flirtatious action of positioning her parasole so she and Josh both stood under it. Although, by the way she was speaking to him, it didn't seem like Namini even knew the guy.

Suddenly, Lil's thoughts on such a juvenile subject were broken as the young lady addressed herself and called her... "Ma'am" . Lil's relaxed appearance faded away the instant that word fell from the other's lips. Yes, Lillian was one who loved being respected and enjoyed being thought of as an adult. Yet, this twinge she felt that shook her insides proved she was not prepared for the consequences. Such as being addressed in a manner that older women are.

"Erm...I'm Lillian Maevin." She told Josh, meanwhile slowly recovering from the mental attack. Her brain already busily planning out a way to be mature and not look old while doing so.

"And, if you're wondering, that's just a demon sheep. Be careful too, he's a vicious little guy who likes to prod your side to the point of bruising." Lillian placed the warning in at the end, just in case Josh decided to go over and try his luck with the creature. When that creature had found the ant hill to terrorize, Lillian was sitting back at the table with a bruised hip wishing she could do back flips of celebration.

As the new voice reached them, Lillian was already looking over to investigate. Having to do a double-take at the sight of who was by the pen. Who he or she was, Lillian didn't know, it was just their appearence that grabbed her attention. Well, whoever they were the teenager knew instantly that her younger brother would have been all over the other in adoration and excitement.

Through the throngs of people and other creatures of the non-human type, Ebony was able to spot rows of chairs lined up in front of a stage. Funny how she hadn’t noticed it before, it being so large compared to everything else. Perhaps there’s to be a show. She wondered what kind of show. She’d be up for anything that would allow here to sit quietly in the shade for a bit. “All except a magic show…” she grumbled under her breath. If there’s one thing she could not tolerate, it was a horribly done magic show. So many of them were fakes with their half-baked smoke and mirror routines. It did the real art of magic an injustice. Though she didn’t really know much about magic herself, real or other, she just despised anything that was totally fake.

As she moved towards the staged area, Ebony passed the concessions once again, this time pausing in her pursuit. ‘It certainly would be nice to sit in the shade with something cold…guess it couldn’t hurt.’ The long, lavender haired lady made her way to the refreshments both despite the crowd around it. She was determined to get something no matter what. Even if it meant dealing with a surly group of men. Without much consideration onto them, as she could plainly see they were in the middle of an oh so important male squabble, Ebony snatched a menu from the counter and looked it over with clear cool confidence despite the chaos she had just entered.

Josh let out a content sigh as he gained a slight reprieve from the blaring sun’s potent rays. Even though the parasol could be considered a weapon in the hands of Namini, he was still glad she had it at this moment. Josh nodded at Lil in affirmation. So he supposed that he wouldn’t be visiting the demon sheep again. “Well, It is a pleasure to meet you Lil! Thanks for the warning too. I was just about to go over and pet the thing.”

His russet eyes widened at the sight of the tentacled and hooven woman who came up to the pens. She defiantly had amassed a peculiar look to herself. He peeped up curiously over at the newcomer, “Hello! While we are all exchanging names, may I ask what yours is?” Josh’s pleasant gaze fell over her as if he was personally examining the woman from tip of antler to bottom of hoof. He had to admit the dull purple and bright green female was quite a sight to behold.

Bard, like Rivener, also bristled to the introduction of the boy, but unlike Rivener the man with purple horns wasn't as fast and as such he did not get the chance to scold the boy tucked into one of his arms like the floating creature did. Giving him a squeeze, Bard shook his head disapprovingly. "You can't very well go around telling people what they can and can't call you. For gods sake I've got some chick that wont stop calling me Bernard as much as I hate it. You're going to have to live with whatever name people enjoy calling you by whether it's to your liking or not. If you hate Xavier so much then you shouldn't tell it to people. You don't hear me telling people my real name, though that's not because I hate it but whatever," he finished with a shrug.

At Rivener's rejection to the drink, Bard brought it back to himself and took a nice long drag of it before licking his lips with a delighted expression and placing the cup back on the counter. He disliked how it took his general temperature down a few degrees, but it wasn't like snow was beginning to fall or anything so he supposed he could take it. "Oh yea, that would be delightful. Would you tell me all about the Lab Sammy my friend?" Bard beamed at the boy. He wasn't using the name to spite his little introduction, he just thought Sammy was fitting of the kid that thought he was too rough to handle.

Sam was silent for a moment and his pale blue eyes flicked to Rivener’s stingers. A split second later he nearly yelled, “You arrogant *****!”out. He used rather a vulgar word. He glared at Bard giving a “**** the lab” look and then proceeded to punch at his face. He used that moment to break free of his grip, launching himself at Rivener, another punch already being drawn back.

Alice noticed Lil's reaction, but said nothing. It was nice to get a reaction-- for a time she had thought herself invisible. She waved her hand at the tiny creatures, but keeping them far away from the tiny chimeras themselves, lest she get bitten.

Peering down at Josh, she grinned, tiny fangs gleaming in her show of amusement. "My name is Alice," It appeared this boy was...sizing her up. She withheld a laugh, brushing brown hair behind a twitching deer like ear. "and you are Josh, if I overheard correctly?" She asked, tone not at all bashful in admitting she had eavesdropped a bit, if anything a little too blunt about the matter.

Amaris winced as the curse sailed through the air. From the direction of the refreshments booth, no less. "Would you please watch your language?" She shouted back, holding up her upside-down daughter to drive the point home. She did not anticipate, however, the fistfight that broke out, and instead watched stupidly.

Mitsu watched as well, but in a more enraptured fashion. She stopped kicking, even. "Ama they're being violent," she breathed, wings rustling.

Amaris made one noise, then two, then thought Oh, to hell with it and gently lowered Mitsu to the ground. "I'll be right back, you stay out of trouble," she warned, then dashed off to the three.

"Calm down, you weirdo," she spat at Sam and quickly shot forward to try and grab the arm he had drawn back for another strike. "What the hell are you getting violent about?!" So much for no cursing in front of her charge. Mitsu, however, was not upset in the least - instead, she stood on the grass a while away, completely engrossed in watching the fight. Rat stared in much the same fashion from Mitsu's shoulder, having poofed into a baby bird and flown up there for a better view of the action.

Rivener grinned evilly at the fishman throwing himself at him. He'd been expecting it, so it wasn't much of a stretch to avoid the punch that was coming at him. What had really startled him was that the boy had punched Bard first.

Rivener lacked magical ability, but he was the strongest physically out of the Raevans. Well, out of those he'd met so far, that is. Rivener was even much stronger than any human he'd ever attempted to test; he doubted he would have problems with this Sam.

Killing someone here wouldn't be acceptable, so Riv would have to simply restrain the guy until he got his senses back. Honestly, Sam is the one who was being stupid. Why should Riv or Bard be the ones who get punched? He just should think about what he says, and he wouldn't get in these situations.

He was about to reach forward with claws hands and grab the man by both biceps, pinning him face-down on the counter, when a woman threw herself into the fray, holding back Sam's arm that was starting to punch at him. Rivener spared her a frown. She'd just arrived and already Riv didn't like her. She was bossy, loud-mouthed, and seemed to think that the world needed to stop and listen when she spoke. Riv really hated that.

But, instead of saying anything and making matters worse, Rivener just floated away to the back of the booth, out of anyone's reach but still within talking distance. He crossed his arms and waited quietly for this to sort itself out. If Sam came for him again, he'd deal with it, but for now he'd let the woman handle it. Let her earn the respect she seemed to think she deserved for no reason.

Tyson's weight began to lean into Alex as his shoe dug into the dirt beneath him. "Well....Lil will be okay, she's been ir-irritable a lot lately anyways." The child's tone became grumbled as he stuttered across the harder to pronounce word. "And I did try to get her and me something to eat. I tried to go get something but..." He gave a slight shrug as the rest of it was muffled, not completely getting out of his mouth correctly. Really though, Ty just didn't feel like explaining what had happened.

At the mention of actually going to the park, Tyson's eyes widened and his head went into a sudden spasming of shakes. "I really don't want to go to the park anymore." He added in with the shakes of hs head. "You can go on your own, and I can go on my own. We can say we went to the park, but we actually didn't. Easy peasy!"

To be honest, the tyke did want to go to the park but his fears got the better of him. If they went to the park with Aphismet's family, that meant Rivener would come. Something that was unusual, but entirely true, was that to see Rivener again wasn't on his top priority list anymore. Rivener had said he would eat him didn't he? Heck, he was huge so he probably could! There was no reason why Tyson had to risk his life just to go to the park...so the child figured he was safe denying the trip and letting it be.

"Now! Can I see your gwee? She's cute!" Tyson asked politely, his eyes raised and looking up at Miss Munchies. He had seen plenty of gwee before, but she was just too cute for him not to ask.

"I would have been disappointed if you had," Julian stated firmly, eyelids drifting downwards until his eyes were merely slits of blue, black, and white. A ripple of tension sped through his veins and as it passed he moved his palm from the wood onto the young woman's hip. The physical contact, like the hand he had placed upon Aphismet's shoulder, was light and simply there to steady the young man more than anything else. Natsuki's actions led him to pure distraction, and while he was not exactly as weak in the knees as she, it made no real difference in how the closeness was affecting his mindset.

He allowed her to pull him closer, and as they kissed again he could only think as mechanically as possible that it felt incredibly nice to have a hand in his hair. For a moment, there was the slightest sensation of comfort. Any other man might have melted against the woman's form at that point, or murmured sweet nothings usually contained only within the most unbelievable romance novels, but after Natsuki asked that important question all Julian could sense was utter peril. Letting loose a frustrated sigh, he pulled back, disentangling himself from the other's form as slowly as possible. "I could not begin to tell you, Natsu- Ms. Natsuki. I could not even begin."

Julian meant to seem absurdly cruel, or at least frigid, as he turned and started to force himself to leave the other guardian's proximity, but some expression crossed his face that might have ruined the truth of it. There was a measure of doubt, albeit a small one, that made it clear he was being quite honest when he said he knew nothing more than the woman did. Julian Sweet was a stranger to intimacy and possibly always would be except in those odd moments when someone forced themselves under his skin. Shoulders raised, he hid his face in his still gloved hand. Standing before the lady in such disarray, he felt more a fool than Aphismet could ever have hoped to be.

It occurred to him that once again, he was in dire need of alcohol.

Gage's loose end spiraled furiously as Vyn's guardian gave him directions that were a bit less than satisfactory. Until that point, the green Frei had been doing everything within his limited power to avoid his kin- particularly the younger shadow Raevan who most likely would not even remember his name should he attempt to gain her attention. Still, he had given his word to do as Shuura asked, and he was not one to go back on such a firm announcement. Straightening what he had of a back, he saluted the woman sharply with a curt nod of his head and instantly began to hover off to the booth he knew the refreshments were kept. A fight was occurring as far as he could see, but speaking openly with the rosy Frei was far more frightening in all regards.

A punch was the single last thing Bard had been expecting, especially since he'd thought his speech had been just a tone softer than the other man's. And lets not forget that drink Bard had just bought, twice! How very unlucky for Bard that the punch was unnoticed until it conncected with his nose and sent a flash of pain screaming to his brain. The injured man didn't let out any noise of pain besides a general grunt and a shake of his head in an attempt to get the stars to receed.

Somehow to unlucky Bard managed to grow even more unlucky as the kid squirmed out of his grasp and sent Bard's already confused body out of balance. As if someone had hit slow motion, Bard felt himself falling to his side and somewhere he felt Fangs jump from his head to land upon the drink counter, unwilling to go down with his master.

Well that was certainly unpleasant. Looking up, Bard squinted as the sun burned at his eyes, confused as to who this other woman who felt like she could just jump into the middle of the activites on her own. How obnoxious. With a grumble, Bard pulled himself up and supported himself on the stand with one hand while the other dabbed at his nose to see if he was bleeding. Thankfully he was not.

"I guess little Sammy doesn't like us very much Mr. Rivener," Bard said coldly, glaring at the boy and daring him to try that again with eyes that glowed with an angry sparkle. No one damaged his face, but getting into a fight with a kid was just wrong.

Peering up from behind the menu, those gray-slated orbs could see the madness that had ensued. She twitched her nose in annoyance. Perhaps now wasn’t such a good time to try and get a drink after all. She rolled those eyes, conveniently hidden behind those dark shades. Boys…they always seemed to want to fight. Wasn’t there any men left in the world? Perhaps she spoke too soon as she noticed the red and black one, a Raevan she noted, was the one who backed off rather than give into childish whims of others while some loud mouthed woman pushed her way into the mix in order to settle things. She smirked at that lady. ‘Like a mother hen…’ she thought.

It was then that she decided not to get her drink and rather nonchalantly placed the menu back on the counter. In that british laced voice, “I’ll come back once the boys are done playing.” She’d given emphasis on the words ‘boys’ and ‘playing’ before heading off towards the stage area to find a sheltered seat.

The Italian smiled warmly at Aphismet, almost apologetically. She extended a hand to squeeze his shoulder, imparting what kindness she could softly, "Life happens, Aphi. Don't worry about it." Truth was, she hadn't had much time herself...and even if he had called, there was such a mess of messages on her machine that she wouldn't have been the wiser.

Her attention fell to Tyson, her eyebrows raising in surprise at his sudden dismissal of going to the park. That was decidedly not the Ty she knew, and it concerned her a bit. Alex glanced up to Aphismet in question, but didn't pry the answer from the boy, deciding instead to kneel once again and hug him from behind. "Okay gentleman," she looked at Munchies, "and dear lady. I must be getting back now. I'm right over there if you need anything, Ty." She pointed a slender finger towards her booth, where the small sleeping form of her Gwee could barely be seen. She took a soft breath between her teeth, adding with a voice that suggested great reluctance, "I might have a surprise for you later, if you remember to come by." The woman gave a sly wink before standing, inclining her head to Aphismet. "Good luck with your part, Aphismet. You're welcome to visit, too, if you need a break."

Giving a little wave, Alex started back across the grounds towards her booth, pausing momentarily near the crowded refreshments booth with a frown. What was this? Was that lady...restraining one of the guys? She wiped the frown off her face although her expression was still somewhat drawn, crossing her arms to watch quietly from a distance, much as Rivener was. The woman wouldn't throw herself in there, but she was working this time, and if someone was threatening the Raevans then she would do what was necessary to relieve the situation.

Aphismet was also quite startled at Ty's adamant refusal of going to the park. Since when was the kid not interested in having fun and running around? Frowning slightly in concern, he could only offer a shrug when Alex had glanced askance at him.

He was reaching up tp pick Munchies out of his hair when Alex declared she was leaving, and he smiled at her brightly. "I'll be here the whole time, over at the Cook-off booth... Which I should get back to, actually." He turned his eyes to Tyson. "Want to come with me? I have a few snacks I think you might like, and you could take some to Lilian. And besides, if you wanna meet Munchies, you'll have to follow."

Aph returned Alex's goodbye head-bow, and he headed over to his booth, which was only across the park-street. He turned to make sure the boy was following.

Kssssss,” Sam hissed as the lady grabbed his fist, the action stopping him but causing him to basically knock down everything that had been on the booth’s counter at the time, including the drinks. Sam turned towards Rivener as if about to jump at him again, but at the last moment dropped his fist.

Sam was breathing deeply and his face was flush and blue. His pail blue eyes were mere slits and his bandana had become skewed, although Sam hardly cared at this point about his blonde roots. He got off the booth, ignoring the fuzz ball that was Fang. He attempted to jerk his hand out of the grip of the woman who had stopped him.

YOU,” he said to Rivener, “ you are just a pampered little product of human experimentation, working at festivals and, gasp, getting to interact with people of all things! You have no idea what it is like to be nothing more than an object of amusement and have your basic freedoms and rights repressed, not knowing if you even deserve it. You have no concept of pure hate for oneself and one’s heritage.” He glared at the raevan and then turned to Bard, “And you, for your information, it’s not my fins that bother me with my genetics. It’s the human part of me. Oh, yes I’ve been blessed with the human mind and the mostly human body and human feelings, but I’ve also been blessed with the human stain. Violence greed anger, oh yes anger, you may notice and abundance of that, I have been blessed with all of those things and had first hand experience with them. You who have no idea what it is like to be me have no right to criticize my actions and my emotions. My name is my name whether I want it to be or not, and believe me, if I could change it I would in a second. If someone asks you to be kind and not remind them of their wounds and call them by a different name, it is not up to you to determine whether they are worthy of your pity. You respect them and call them what they ask.” Sam was shaking now.

Let go of me,” he snapped at the woman before striding off into the masses.
