Jou shook his head and laughed, not moving his position. He liked the warm feeling of Bakura's shirt against his forehead, even though he tried to ignore that fact. "You cook, Bakura? You don't seem like the type. I'd think that anything you made would be poisoned!" He shook his head again. "But I'm not saying food isn't important, I meant... augh... you don't get it, do you!? How does anything get through that thick head of yours, you baka?" Relunctantly, now a little embarressed at his clingy behavior and a little exasperated at Bakura's, he lifted his head and turned his face to lock eyes with the silver haired thief. He didn't like the seemingly unemotional face staring back at him.

Bakura couldn't help it but when Jounouchi looked up at him that faint little smile he'd tried to wipe away returned to his face. "Like I said, Ryou's not around much and I still do have to eat." Smirking lightly he reached a hand bak and ruffled Jounouchi's hair and wondered to himself why he was acting so strange. Ohwell it didn't really matter to him right now, and it wasn't like anyone except Jounouchi saw his current actions.

Bakura's actions surprised Jounouchi. All of a sudden, Bakura seemed a little more open... and a whole lot nicer. Jou liked seeing this half of him though, as weird as it was. -They can cue the Twilight Zone music any second now...- He was under the impression that Bakura didn't want to discuss anything serious of the sort at the moment, and quite frankly Jou was getting a little tired of spewing his unhappy emotions. It was mentally exhausting, and his head was starting to hurt a little from thinking so heavily. After the split second of surprise, Jou felt oddly... close to the spirit. He didn't think; no, he practically knew; that Bakura didn't act like this around many people, if any. His eyes widened a little, but then he laughed and tried not to picture a dog being pet by it's master. -What's up with this dog thing!?- "Well, I can't blame you for not wanting to eat your own cooking... I guess I could help you there, for, you know, letting me stay... with you..." Mentally, Jou recoiled. -And what happened to having to stay here? Eh?- But overall, he felt that this was something he really wanted to do. He wanted to get out of there with someone who understood him, if even just slightly.

"So you've changed your mind about staying here?...Hmmm, that's good to hear Jounouchi." Bakura ruffled Jou's hair "and I just happen to like my cooking." Bakura huffed a bit, he wasn't great but he wasn't bad either.

"Heh, sure you do. I guess if it was the only thing I had to eat, i'd have to like it too." Jou bent his head down and tried not to break into a grin when Bakura ruffled his hair again. He wasn't used to little signs of affection like it towards him, but he liked it anyway. -It's really weird, but who am I to go around complaining?-

Bakura pulled his hand off of Jounouchi's hair "Go get some of your stuff and then we'll go, alright?" Looking around Bakura thought to himself if Jou even had anything half decent that he'd be bringing with him besides clothing.

Malik turned to look down at Yuugi again. He thought for a bit. "To tell you the truth, I don't really know WHAT is going on with Bakura. He doesn't seem his usual self. At least from what I remember." They continued walking a bit more. Many more workers were off from work now. The streets were filled with people. "I don't think Jou had really mentioned anything of the sort about what happened yesterday. He just kept asking me what happened after you two left. Nosey person he is." Malik chuckled a bit and put his hands in his pockets.
Gah... Sorry about the late post. Teachers have gone crazy with homework. X____x

Jounouchi nodded, put his hands into his pockets and walked down the hall into his small room. He had a matress in one corner (on the floor, since his bedframe had ended up collasping on him- not literally), a dresser against the opposite wall, and a closet. Basically, this was all he needed. Jou dug around in his closet for a duffel bag and fit as many of his good clothes in it as possible- including his school uniform for when school started up again. He really wasn't sure when, or even if, he'd be back here. Looking up on top of his dresser, Jou picked up his old walkman and threw it in the bag as well.
-Lessee, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, underwear, yo-yo, Duel Monsters deck...-
He stared fondly at the two pictures he kept in his room: one of Shizuka post-oporation and one of him and his friends, posing in Yuugi's room with big goofy smiles on their faces. He smiled a little, and vaugely wondered what their reaction would be when they found out where he was staying. Honda was the only one that he'd told about his father, so he might have some idea... Jou folded the pictures along old creases and stuffed them in his pocket. After the pictures, there was one more thing he couldn't leave behind. Jou bent down and picked up a small dog plushie that Yuugi, Anzu, and Honda had given him as a joke last year for his birthday. It was a slighty darker color of blonde then his own hair, and had big brown eyes."Hey man, don't get mad at us! It looks so much like you, so we thought we might have found a long lost cousin of yours... HEY! Let go of me!"He laughed, remembering Honda's explaination and his own initial reaction. He'd been mad at first, but he had later become kind of fond of the little thing. He stuffed it in his bag as well, before turning around and walking back towards the kitchen. He stopped in front of his father's bedroom door, nudging the glass a bit with his shoe, not bothering to open the door, before walking back into the main room with Bakura.

Bakura nodded and reached out and grabbed Jounouchi's hand and started to carefully make his way out of the appartment.

Silently, Jou let himself be led out of the building. He suddenly didn't feel like talking out loud until they'd gotten out of the apartment, although he know that nothing could rouse his father in his current state. -Bakura and I made enough noise earlier to wake him up if could be woken up...- Jou contemplated. While thinking, he slowly curled his fingers around Bakura's hand.

Bakura continued to lead Jounouchi silently back to the house. Bakura glanced over at Jou occasionally and every once in a while gave the blond boy a small smile. He actually found it kind of nice having someone with him and someone who understood what he'd had to go through as a child.

Jou spent most of the walk to Bakura's home in deep thought about one subject or another, but he had caught some of the theif's glances and they made him smile in turn. He wasn't too sure why having him around seemed to make Bakura so happy, but he figured that it couldn't be a bad thing.
As they got to the front yard of Ryou's home, Jou gave a big yawn. He wasn't drop-dead tired like he'd been the night before, but he was tired enough to want to see a bed in his near future.

Bakura lead Jounouchi inside the house and quickly explained which rooms where where and how to get to them and stuff like that. "You're free to take any bed in the house except for Ryou's and his father's, it's kind of easy to tell their bedrooms from mine and the three guest rooms. Take whichever of those four beds feels the most comfortable to you, if you want mine it doesn't matter, I tend to room hop anyways." With that Jou lead him up the staires and showed Jou the three guest rooms.

Jou's eyes were wide in fascination after being led around the house. -This place is HUGE. I mean, it's no Pegusus's castle or Kaiba's mansion or anything, but geez, SIX BEDROOMS!? It doesn't like it could hold four from the outside!- He didn't remember it being so big last time he'd been there; but then again, he'd been unconcious coming in and dazed going out. Jou considered all three guest bedrooms, but not being a picky type of person, didn't know which bedroom to choose. "Uh... " he scratched the back of his head, eyes still wide with a little bit of awe. "You have any recommendations that would help?"

Bakura shurged "You could always room hope from night to night like I do to see which bed you like the best, and like I said, you can have my bed if you want it aswell." With that Bakura went into his room and fixed it up a bit, not much but a little so that it didn't look like something dead lived there, not like it wasn't true though.
