"You know... I bet that is what has happened. Mother just redecorated the castle and almost everyone is hopelessly lost... This is the first time I have been back here in over a year and it was rather... shocking to find that I no longer knew anything about my own home," the prince remarked. He seemed rather more weary than before -- likely because his anger had consumed much of his energy. He glanced around the room slowly and then back over to the djinn. "Mmm... no. You'd just get lost, too, which would be pointless.... Stay here and I'll see if Mother had the wit to give me a kitchen again....."

With that, he began once again to explore his room, turning over numerous objects and pulling on things and triggering reactions and such... and he seemed to have quite the knack for finding where these secret 'switches' were. A tug on that pillow case, a lifting of that vase, the rotation of several flowers to a certain degree... nearly every one of those movements revealed new aspects about the room.

"Ah!" he exclaimed finally, after several minutes of searching, during which he had single-mindedly and almost completely forgotten all about the other two, including the fact that they were there. "Here we are..." he murmured slowly. There was a small table set next to an elaborate window that sent glowing light all into the room. He selected one of the many dinner forks set out and rotated it forty five degrees. At once, the window stretched and moved down, instantly becoming a door, though, somehow, the light in the room remained the same. "Mother had someone make an immaterial door.... C'mon, follow me, and don't fall because you won't be able to get out again," he said, turning back to the pair, his tone quite casual. THis all seemed nothing but routine to him.

[[ohhh. I'm sooooorry. Stupid college.]]

Groaning softly, Ryland opened his eyes with a note of reluctance. He actually felt... quite fine, except... he couldn't understand why he was lying on dirt.

And then the sound of those somewhat familiar voices washed over him as he peered over at the clearly darker-garbed Panick and that frog-boy conversing. So... he wasn't hallucinating before. These weird people existed.

'Weird'.

What a funny concept. A small voice chuckled in his own mind. In reality, the strange little amphibian wasn't so different from him... unless he'd been born with different forms. It wasn't as if there were so many mercreatures running around on foot by day and swimming with tails and gills by night. And this Panick boy.. well, he'd still have to figure him out. Perhaps he was some split personality.

But the way they were looking, the whole bunch of them were oddballs.

Sitting up and running a hand through his hair to shake dirt crumbs from it, he soon got to his feet.

"Oh, I ... what..? " He looked at Hina oddly and began to put pieces together about the magic discussion before mumbling a brief thanks to the younger one for fixing him up.

"Listen, can we get out of here and find a town or something? I'm pretty much famished."

With the given 'no' of his offer, Remy's suddenly slumped shoulders displayed his disappointment. So much for getting a good look around the castle right away. Oh well, he thought. He would be bound to get several more chances later on. There would be plenty of time to scope out suitable territory for mischief.

With a renewed gleam in his eye, as if he had never seen a sad day in his life, the genie watched eagerly as the prince fiddled with various objects and their effects. A different kind of magic than his own, if one could very well call it magic. Illusions, triggerings.

His eyes wandered down to his right side where a crystallized rock sat as decoration. While having to contain himself from tearing at every moveable object in the room to learn what all hidden mysteries there were, Remy gingerly pushed the rock barely an inch across the desk's surface. "..." Nothing. A frown marred his features due to his lack of discovery. Before he had a chance to try again, his attention was drawn back to Aurora.

"Sounds promising," Remy commented, following after Aurora.

While Aurora and Remy may have been used to the whole 'magic' bit, Nic was all rather new to it. 'Better be careful in what all I touch' he warned himself. All the while, as Aurora searched the room, his eyes darted between the prince and the genie. He wasn't about to turn his back on him so soon.

But as Remy, his attention, too, was stolen by Aurora's announcement. While having previously been a little confused at his early statement of his mother giving him a kitchen, he would have never thought it to be an actual room added on. If anything, maybe a stash of food or something, but an entire, hidden room? Boy, was he off by a long shot.

"Get out of where, exactly?" he asked.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 30, 2007 3:37 pm

"The hallway," Aurora replied simply. He had already opened the door and taken his first step inside. He glanced back towards Nic. "Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds... Mother only gets top notch hallways made, so they look and feel just like normal ones. It's just best not to stay inside them for too long because it takes a lot of magical power to sustain them and the hallways only actually exist while people are inside of them," the prince explained. To him, this all seemed extremely elementary -- a part of his life that came so naturally to him that it was no longer worth thought.

"Now, hopefully, this will actually lead to a kitchen... I remember once before when Mother redesigned everything.... I thought I was going to the observatory and I ended up in a... sauna......" he said, a small frown marring his lips. It obviously was not a good memory. In fact, it was one of the many mother-induced memories that he prefured not to think on at all. Not only had the place been a sort of... spa area, but there had been a large bath area and... He didn't know how she managed it, but there must have been over a hundred young men there. A dull ruby flush entering cheeks at the overly embarassing and, to him (though Remy likely would have appriciated it much more), horrible memory, he continued towards what he hoped was the kitchen.

"Oh, right, of course," Nic muttered quietly to himself with Aurora's given explanation. That may have sounded to have answered his question, but in Nic's perspective, it only raised several more. But he decided to simply leave it at that. Don't fall and you'll get food.. hopefully.

By the sound of Aurora's awkward pause, and considering the topic involved his mother, it couldn't have been a very good experience for the prince. Best not push the subject. By now, Nic knew not to press Aurora's buttons. Even the slightest wrong move would set him off.

It seemed Remy had learned as well not to so easily pester the young noble. Not while trying to gain his trust at least.. Though those flushing cheeks did look to have such a delicious story behind them. "I do often like surprises," he said. The genie had to harshly bite back his temptation to nag the truth out of Aurora, instead allowing his mind to wander. At least he believed to have the general idea behind the untold tale. "I think I'm going to enjoy meeting your mother, you know" he said, while appearing to be pulling his thoughts deep out of the gutter. "When do you think we could arrange doing so?"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:18 pm

That stopped Aurora dead in his tracks. What kind of person wanted to meet his mother?!? Granted, there were a few, including that stupid froggy prince, that looked upon Celestine with admiring eyes, but.... that woman was a fierson force to reckon with. "What are you, sick?!" he demanded, looking thuroughly disgusted. "Oh wait, I forgot... you're a pervert, aren't you? So of course you would love to meet her!" he huffed, his tone one of supressed outrage. His cheeks were heavily flushed against. His gaze quickly returned forwards again, however, and he continued onwards down the richly furnished hallway.

Finally, after several minutes, they reached the ending -- a single door in a dead end. The prince reached out and turned the handle slowly, a large amount of fierce anticipation held in that small movement. The door opened soundlessly upon....

Aurora sighed in relief as his eyes were met with the sight of a kitchen -- a kitchen. It didn't look to be so large as the main one -- after all, this was a private kitchen and not the one meant for all the royal inhabitants. No sooner had he stepped into the kitchen, however, then he was nearly knocked over sideways as a pare of pale, delicate arms were thrust around his neck, long, blond hair streaming out from behind.

"Oooh, darling, I see you've found the kitchen!" Celestine exclaimed excitedly, her bright blue eyes sparkling with vivid escitement. Your father and I are currently examining all the different aspects of the newly remodelled castle to make sure everything is perfect for your wedding!" The prince grimaced and tried to push his mother away. The queen, on her part, allowed him to, as her eyes had caught sight of ample distraction. "Ooooo!" she exclaimed, her eyes now fixed upon Remy. "Ooo, 'Rora, don't tell me you're cheating, now! Though he is a fine specimen, we really can't ruin your marriage until after the wedding, now, can we?" She stepped closer to further her examination of the genie. "And you, oh, you must have been what my lovely Handsome was talking about! Why, you do remember him as a young lad, don't you? He was Hugh back then....."

((Why Celestine and Allora are so easy to write for I am as of yet unsure. 8D;;; ))

"Ah, you're awake. Finally," Hina said, a light grin on his lips as he glanced back towards the newly wakened, crimson-haired prince -- proof that Hina's healing spells weren't quite so attrocious as he thought they were. "Ehhh... town. Hmm, well, I just came from a town.... I was following someone, but unfortunately I can't find him....." he said, a small pout on his lips. And that brunette had looked so delicious, too! Surely he would have gained approval from Celestine.....

"But food, with or without a town, is easy enough to make -- not that I'm about to cater for free," Hina said, a light grin on his lips. Of course, he usually never would lower himself to perform such menial magics for others... but neither of the other knew that he was a prince and, if he could, he would be keeping it that way. Besides, the redhead was cute, even if he seemed easily spooked.... He just might be able to find something interesting to consume his time with.....

"Now I wouldn't go as far as calling me a pervert," Remy countered, though his tone didn't sound defensive in the least. In fact, he sounded amused with the possible aspect that the mother of this oh-so charming prince could be on the same mindtrack as himself. "Maybe a little dirty minded at times, but not flat-out perverted."

Reaching the door at the end of the tunnel -or in their case, the hallway-, Remy stood on his toes in anticipation for what they could walk in upon.. Seeing only the interior of the kitchen, the genie started to drop back down in silent downfall, but without warning a sudden illustrious activity filled the air. By the close resemblence alone, he guessed this to be Aurora's mother. Her attitude alone caused an adrenaline-based grin to spread over his features.

"And Hugh he remains in my eyes," Remy said, dropping into another one of his dramatic bows. Taking one of Celestine's hands in his own, he placed a light kiss upon the top before glancing at Aurora. "My, my, 'Rora," he said, using the nickname he heard his mother use. "You never told me the queen was such a rare beauty! My Lady, if it's not Aurora's marriage I will ruin, it will be your own. It's taking all I have not to whisk you away where we stand." While his tone was flattering, he was obviously joking around. "Hugh is a very lucky man."

"Oh my!" the queen exclaimed, a scattering of pink rising in her cheeks that very much resembled the blushing face of her son. She returned the genie's smile, her rose-red lips curving up in delicate approval. "Such bold speech from a young man!" she said, feigning surprise. However, it was evident from both her expression and tone that she was overjoyed with the genie's response. "But while I find you to be truly wonderful, my dear, my heart has already been captured... Although I suppose I cannot really say that I am too old for you, seeing as you are many times my age," she said, giving Remy a small wink. "It's a pity, though, that you weren't my djinn....." she added rather mischeviously, leaving it up to imagination just what she meant by that.

"Anyway!" she continued in a much more matter-of-fact tone. "I quite like you already.... So I shall be leaving Aurora in your care. She's been locked away for over a year and has only recently begun to develop properly as an adolescent, so please make sure you can help with that developement...."

Aurora gawked at his mother. What the-- was she asking Remy to keep being a pervert?!? His eyes shifted uncomfortably between the two. He had a very bad feeling about all this.....

"Ah, my Lovely Majesty. You truly know how to pierce a man's heart," Remy said, placing a hand delicately upon his chest after hearing the queen's 'rejection'. Yes, he just loved dramatizing everything nearly as much as he loved the game of flattery. "And forever, I would take the teasing bait you lay, even with the knowledge it would lead me down the path of heartbreak if only to catch a glimpse of your smiling eyes."

Hm.. Upon hearing the queen's brief explanation of Aurora's current standing, Remy began to understand what the prince meant by relating to his imprisonment in the lamp.

Unable to keep the grin off his lips, the genie dropped into another graceful bow. "Whatever you wish of me, my beautiful queen," he said, almost able to feel Aurora's discomfort with the situation. 'Oooh, this was going to be fun.' "I'll do whatever I can in my power to help in 'Rora's.. 'development'."

Aurora grimaced quite visibly. He glanced away from the two, his dark eyes seeking out Nic. He really did not want to be alone with either of those two... or the two of them together... And now, if his mother were to leave, and he were to be left alone with Remy... there was no telling just what unfortunate incedent might occur.

"Mother, we just came here to eat," he murmured slightly weakly.

At the sound of her son's voice, Celestine seemed to quite vividly come from a small 'smiling trance'. She blinked a couple times and then glanced to her 'daughter,' a bright smile on her lips. "Yes, of course, dear.... Well, it is really time that I be off to inspect the rest of the castle!" she said, clapping her hands together in a classic motherly busy-body pose. "Tata, lovelies, I'll see you at dinner!" she exclaimed, pressed a kiss to both Aurora's and Remy's cheeks. She beamed at the pair and then hastened off to see to the rest of the castle.

Aurora grimaced once more and wiped at his cheek with the back of his hand, looking exceedingly uncomfortable.

Ryland couldn't help but notice Hina's certain reluctance to deter from the frog's apparent course, even if it was in search of a more civilized location than their current one. He wondered who the other was looking for, but before he could ask Hina had made mention of food.

"Ah. You're going to charge?" he chuckled, "I see. Well, what's your usual price for your catering services? I think I can manage it."

"Mmm, well, seeing as I'm in no dire financial situation, I usually charge for kisses," he said with a light, easy grin. "But seeing as you've already given me one, I suppose I can start you out with an appetizer.... but you'll have to pay mooo~re if you want a full meal," he said, his dark eyes glinting mischeviously. "Or am I too hideous for you to even consider such an offer?" he asked, his tone sweet and flowery. Really, everything the small teen did looked quite overly cute and sugary, though his words were almost never so innocent as his appearance.

"Mmm, so, what do you prefer? Cute boys, or older ones? Because I don't mind either way~."

((He'safreak. D: Ryland was much better off with the abnormally nice Will.... at least he has compassion. Hina never (or almost never) does anything for free and enjoys playing with people.... >>;;; ))

"Toodles," Remy said, grinning widely as he waved to the retreating Celestine. The genie couldn't have wished for a better place to have wound up, he decided. Practically being asked to break the 'daughter' of an overly enthusiatic queen and ol' Hughy into adulthood. If 'breaking in' could really be the words used to describe it. But honestly.. Was he one to deny the request of not only a royal leader, but also a concerned parent? After all, parents knew best, parents only have their children's best intentions at hearts, and all those other old parental sayings.

Remy waited until the queen had left before turning his smiling face onto the waiting Aurora. "You can call me teacher, if you want," he stated wryly.

Having lagged behind in the hallway, Nic had attempted to observe the strange connection chamber, maybe answer some of his questions himself. Taking every caution to keep an eye on his often clumsy feet, he overheard Celestine inside the kitchen with them. How she got there, he had no idea, but he now held little alarm for Aurora being in there with Remy. No way would he try anything with the prince's mother in plain sight.. would he? From what he could hear, the genie was far too busy flirting with the queen anyway.

So taking that as an okay to take his time, Nic eventually made his way into the kitchen just after the queen took her leave. And almost immediatly after his entrance, he felt a strange tension in the air.

"... I missed something, didn't I?"

"No, thank you," Aurora replied rather tersley, looking quite disgruntled and overly uncomfortable. He obviously did not want Remy to "teach" him anything. Moments later, however, Nic had come out of the hallway and into kitchen. A look of intense relief spread across the prince's face as he saw Nic emerge. He sidled over towards the older male, wanting to put as much distance as possible between himself and the genie.

"Yes, you did..." he said from beside the other. Though he knew Nic likely couldn't do much against a genie, it still felt... reassuring to have him near. It at least make the genie's endeavers slightly more difficult, if nothing else.
