Candycane Scartissue Tsukasa backed up a bit, biting on his lip. "I'm sorry," he started, finally able to speak. "I didn't mean to frighten you," he added, kneeling down to the sand close to the beautiful mermaid. He couldn't think of much else to say to her, his eyes unable to stop taking in the sight of the maiden, his hands fidgeting beside him against the sand.

Shuya gasped, not knowing what the man had said to make him so surprised. "Wh-what?" he asked, laughing when he finally got over the shock. "You're not allowed to touch, at least not unprepared. I'm a Shinigami, after all. If you touch me, you might die, and that'd send you back to whatever Hell you came from."
Tsukasa blushed faintly, looking over her before his eyes locked gaze with her bright ones. "I've never seen a mermaid before, at least not in person. Always in photos or books," he explained. "But I have to admit..." he held his breath for a long moment before exhaling. "You're the most beautiful girl, mermaid or otherwise, I have ever seen." It was bold, and Tsukasa was usually so shy and reserved, but there was nothing he could find better, or more easy to say. The words came out so naturally.

Leilani watched his reaction, her fingers lingering on his cheek. His skin felt smooth, much like her own. "Photos and books?" She blinked once, not really sure what he meant by those two words. But she didn't think too hard on them, especially after his next comment. Her blue eyes widened just a little. "Beautiful...?" It was almost as if she didn't believe him...then she smiled brightly. "Are you sure that I am? I haven't seen my reflection in so long..." Her fingers combed through her hair for a moment. "I'm sure I have kelp or something in my hair..."

Tsukasa almost couldn't believe what was going on. He was conversing with a mermaid; a mermaid that he was falling in love with second after second. He sighed softly, looking to her dreamily. "No kelp. Just perfect blonde hair. Perfect blue eyes. Beautiful tan skin," he listed effortlessly, watching her with adoring eyes.

Adjo sighed, almost pouting as he looked off. "What a shame. I've gotten so used to mortals. No special rules." He sighed again, deeper, waving a hand in the air. "And I know so little of other demons, just the ones around Egypt. What is the they say? 'What a drag.' Well, if I died, I'd get to say 'hello' to auntie." He snickered.

Leilani blinked at him again. She had been called pretty before but not by anyone who wasn't her own species. That and all the other mermaids were just as lovely, if not more so. She then laughed softly. "Ah, if you say so. You should see some of the other mermaids... They're very lovely girls." Course, she knew that wasn't possible though after the storm. "So what's your name?"

Shuya laughed softly, stepping closer to Adjo. "You're quite interesting. You can do what you'd like," he spoke, purring quietly.
"My name is Tsukasa. And I'm more than willing to bet you're the prettiest of the bunch, and probably with a pretty name to go with it. Your name is?" he questioned. He had never felt this way before, despite being around beautiful females his whole life. This girl stood out, in a way that was too attractive to not notice.

"Tsukasa...," she repeated, the name feeling odd on her tongue. She wasn't used to such names...but then again, she also hadn't gotten around very much. "Well Tsukasa, it's very nice to meet you! My name is Leilani." She smiled brightly again. "So have you really not met a mermaid before? A lot of my clan are able to turn their tails to legs to visit the surface... Maybe you've met one without realizing it!"

Tsukasa stared to Leilani. "Leilani," he spoke softly, smiling. He appreciated the sound. "Maybe I have. That's so neat," he spoke, falling onto his backside to sit more comfortably, folding his hands in his lap.

Adjo smirked before leaning in to give Shuya a chaste, little kiss, thinking up any and all little protective spells he could for himself, just in case. His wings flexed and stretched, folding back again as Adjo pulled back.

Shuya cracked a grin, laughing quietly. "You think I don't have a way to prevent that from happening? I can control who dies upon a touch from me," he spoke, folding his arms. "That kiss was nice. Linger longer next time, mm?"

Adjo pursed his lips. "Little tease." He traced the under side of Shuya's jaw with a finger, before pulling the hand back and tapping the end of his nose. "If you had said that, I wouldn't have had to embarrass myself like that. This one will pale in comparison to the next, I assure you." He laughed, then smiled, and his wings flexed out again.

Shuya laughed, shaking his head. "Well then," he started, his eyes gazing deeply into Adjo's, "I await the next time impatiently."
Tsukasa watched her in awe, his lips parted as he still had a hard time comprehending someone so beautiful. Clearing his throat, he gave her a smile, shrugging a slender shoulder slightly. "I'm sure it's difficult if you've never done it, but I'd be more than happy to help you, if that was something you were interested in."
