After kicking the panel repeatedly, Quinn officially declared the device fixed. He hiked up his pants again and started walking toward the girl's quarters again, bemoaning the door's closed state. He kicked it. Then he forced his way in.

"Water bed, water bed..." spoke the man as his eyes darted around the room.

"Here we go!" spoke the pilot as he hefted the water bed up on his shoulder. He quickly lost balance, though, and the bed fell to the ground, bursting all over Quinn's shoes. "Oh my..." This did not deter the man, though; if nothing else, he would be able to use the bed as some kind of clear containment device to be wrapped around anybody who dared to oppose him. Yes, he had collected a new weapon for his arsenal. Again, he threw it onto his shoulder and turned toward the door.

"Oh, hey, you're that guy who's supposed to be in the brig, right? The one who was making moves on Kayako and got rejected?" The game of telephone was a silly one, and one that Quinn often sucked at.

He sniffed at the Italian dish curiously. "Does it have tomatoes in it? Man, I really hope I'm not allergic to tomatoes," said Quinn as he dropped a piece down his piehole. He then licked his chops and drew his thumb across his mouth to pick up the residue. "Why are you out, then? Do I need to add the brig to my list of repairs?"

"Darn it!! You just have to go and make my job harder, don't you?" The pilot rolled his eyes and placed his free hand on his hip. "Just so you can make yourself a snack..." Nonetheless, the man grabbed another piece and downed it in seconds. He continued, "Anyway... I'm not going to bother putting you back in, since we have the ship lockdown at the moment anyway. It's not like you could, I dunno, suffocate someone with an empty water bed or something. Just be thankful that I'm lenient."

"No, no, no, you can't choke someone with a slice of pizza like this." Quinn grabbed the one Dominic wasn't looking at and started explaining. "See, the bread, despite being drenched in wonderful, creamy tomato sauce, is too hard. You need to have something mildly soft, but also just doughy enough to clog the nasal or oral passageways if you want to kill someone. The toppings don't help much either, 'cause the bacon is also hard, and the cheese is too flimsy. So you see, this pizza is not usable. One day, I'll show you how to make a killer pizza." He then winked and downed the piece.

Finally, he came to the man's second statement. "Who said it matters to me?"

"Hmm, she's a tough cracker," spoke the man quietly as if not quite sure of his words. "I don't know her very well, but she's a termagant--lotsa anger, lotsa complaining, lotsa hurting. I think she must've had abusive parents." He began to scratch his chin and rotate his eyes before continuing. "Oh, yeah, if you want to win her over, ya gotta get past that one guy, Gary. I've hardly ever seen him 'cause he's holed up in his quarters all day, but I hear he doesn't do much while he's in there."

He leaned closer. "She's all over him like Medri is with Kanashisa. Mrrrow!"

"Whoa!! So she's like a cavewoman, eh? Ooga booga!!" Quinn pushed out his lower jaw and mimicked bludgeoning someone. "Man, I'd never heard of that. That must suck. Bleh, better than having a bunch of idiots who disown for not being an idiot, too," shrugged the man, being horribly subtle about his past. He figured this wasn't enough, though, and again leaned closer. "Ya know my parents disowned me after I left the Voderak, right?

Anyway... I don't know what she likes. The only things I know she likes is being in control, yelling, seeing things done her way, and good spelling. You wouldn't believe how many times she berated me for the damage report, sheesh..." Of course at this point, Quinn was just kinda making stuff up. "But nonetheless, I'm sure you could catch her eye if you just emoted more."
