He landed, quite fiercely, in the middle of the group. There the shinigami surrounding him sloshed toward him like an inverted ripple--attacking him from all angles at the very same time. With blood speckled on their faces and their swords flashing forward, the struck at Zenmaru in nigh unision.

Ugu twisted with his blade wrenching along with his beast-like torque. He let out a wild roar and smashed at the oncoming blades as they came toward him. Egeus clashed with the other zanpakutous and Ugu's sword sparked wildly as it connected with the other swords. As he defended himself, though, he made use of his mouth--he began to recite a kidou. "... Mosa Shouten, Hyoumenka Bantan-no-Rensa-no-ningensei: Ages remorse, thunderous shallows, unheeding willows ..."

"... Never ending shadows, weakening barriers, lording evils, unholy retribution for famed deeds, evaporating shallows!" A eerie silence befell him, and was soon replaced by a fury-induced roar, as his kidou began to take effect. Fire began to lick along his heels and a thunderous amount of reiatsu oozed out of his body. After another moment of parrying swords a hellish rupture of fire broke loose from Ugu's tanned flesh.
A fiery explosion happened, with Ugu at the middle with the whole group of other shinigami only inches away from him. The blast of explosive fire-kidou ripped out for a voluminous ten meters, scorching everything that it laid its fiery grips upon. Left, right, up, forward, backward.. Every angle was covered by the all encompassing flame.
Then, after the flame ripped from the shinigami, as thunderous blast of wind exploded from the same apex as before. The wind seared for some twenty meters in all directions, blasting out the flames that were clinging to the grassy floor.
After the kidou the man ran forward, to the first two he had hit before with Egeus. He quickly tore his blade downwards at both of them, in one thunderous swing, to hack at both of them with one direct blow. As luck would have it, though, the man that would face the second half of the long slash would shift slightly out of Ugu's range--dodging the attack.

As the fire retched outward it touched the poor few who were unlucky enough to be caught by its frenzied horror. Its burning strength burned into flesh, tearing past clothing, and bypassed the zanpakutou on its violent conquest of destruction.

Those lucky enough to get out of range of the attack, or were able to block it, survived its burning hazards. Those who were hit, and were burned, were not as lucky. Their roasted bodies, or at least the ones that could still move, stood up to look at the large shinigami. Without tarrying the remaining shinigami charged forward to chop at the lone shinigami.

With the new space given to him by the just used kidou, Ugu began to maneuvre. The first few strikes that came to him, all of which seemed to have been aimed at his stomach, were blocked and parried by his zanpakutou. The ones that followed were more easily handled, since he just stepped back and went out of the oncoming blades' swings.
Few minutes later, after most of the remaining shinigami had their chance to hit him, Ugu made his move. Twisting the sword that was nestled tightly in his hands he swung it at the nearest unlucky soul. He twisted his whole body with that swing, thus putting his full strength into it and veering the blade toward another victim. Its smashing velocity, and his continued turning, quickly made him go in a 360 degree twist--possibly chopping at yet another shinigami that was near him.

Ugu's full circle turn slashed the nearest three to him. The spinning haze of blood, though, didn't deter their comrades from coming at him any more than the fire kidou and the other techniques that the large shinigami had already put to use. So they all came in again hoping to slash at the blood soddened clothing of the large shinigami.

He smiled. "Thanks Haro. You're doing well yourself, mate." He bent backwards, the fist coming a hair's bredth from his face. The wind felt good on his face for a moment before he had to go on the offensive once again. He grabbed the outstretched wrist with his left hand and pulled slightly, sending his right foot towards Haro's stomach. "I wonder how long this one will last, eh?"
