Dyanel smiled once again looking around the kitchen. She sat down on the stool and looked at Shinta.
"So how about you Shinta? What's going on in your life here?" she asked curiously.

"Sasha-dono and this one are to go on a journey soon to visit her mother."
The swordsman looked down in thought for a moment. "You remember the woman who saved me when i was fighting Tochi's brother? She, Natsuko, is Sasha-dono's sister."

Dyanel leaned her head to the side trying to remember that fight. She did and gave a nod.
"Wow, a lot does happen in here. I keep forgetting that," she thought out loud.

The swordsman snorted, then laughed softly. "That it does Miss Dy. That it does..."
Beside him, Shinta could sense that Natsuko was amused as well.

Dyanel smiled a bit looking up at Shinta.
"It gets hard to keep track sometimes, but there's something to do at least," Dyanel remarked looking around.
Cheebs had opened one eye and was smiling to himself as Shinta and Dyanel talked. As Dyanel turned to look at him, he closed his eye pretending to be asleep again.

The swordsman turned suddenly, seeming to confer with thin air, then turned back to Dyanel. "Miss Dy, you were once the spirit keeper, is that right?"

Dyanel gave Shinta a surprised look and gave a small nod.
"Yes, I was, why do you ask?" she inquired looking at him with a curious expression on her face.

Shinta smiled at the spirit next to him. "Ever since the incident during which Nasuko saved my life, this one has been able to directly communicate with her. She thought you might know why."

Dyanel raised an eyebrow, then closed her eyes focusing her magic on Shinta. She was quiet for a good 10 minutes changing her focus to Natsuko. She opened her eyes and looked at the both of them. Her sea green eyes grew a bit darker.
"Natsuko is of course binding to you by blood being your sister, but saving your life has made that bond even stronger. Natsuko needs to ask herself if she really needs to stay with you. She may think you still need protecting," Dyanel stated her smoky green eyes turned back to their usual sea color.

The swordsman looked confused. "Natsuko-dono is not my sister, but the one who would have been my wife."

Dyanel blushed a bright red.
"Oh, that's the link then. Sorry, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to this stuff, but yes, she does feel responsible for you." Dyanel remarked.

Shinta looked over at Natsuko, into the green eyes that only he could see, and raised one eyebrow. "You feel responsible for me?"
"I am the one who made you as you are now my love..." She answered.
"And I am eternally grateful for it." He finished. "This lowly one only wishes there hadn't been such a high rice to pay."
"Be quiet, you know I do not like it when you brood so much." There was hint of teasing in her rebuke.
"Sorry Natsuko-dono." Shinta said aloud.
Turning to Dyanel he explained sheepishly, "I guess she does feel responsible for me..."

"Now, the question is, do you want her to feel that way?" Dyanel asked him looking down at Cheebs.

Shinta thought before replying. "This one wishes that she did not blame herself for my decisions."
He winced slightly, sensing his lover's disagreement with his statement.
((Talk about some messed up relationship counseling... wink ))
