well this didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine sitting next to me. my BD was talking to us about something important (i forgot what) and it was really quiet. my friend had the clarinet in his mouth and right before he pulled it out he sneezed and i guess he bit down on the reed because it squeaked really loud

I was marching in the last parade of the year, and my flag got caught on my halloween costume. And if that wasn't enough, I marched into the girl right in front of me because I hadn't noticed that our band had stopped marching... Oops...

well it wasn't really that embarrising but it's the only thing that i actually can think of. while we were performing for an elem school my pants were riding up my leg and one of the sax players was like lid i can see your socks (our uniform is black pants black shoes and i was wearing white socks) at that moment everyone around me turned and looked at my feet. i was really concious of my socks that day after that

Okay, so.
My band director is pretty much amazing.
And we were at Marching Practice, just kind of sitting around and talking, and he asked the Drum major to go up to the front to conduct a song. And every time he raised his arms to do so, Mr. S would be like, "HEYY! HEYYY!" And start yelling random stuff, which was hilarious.
So, I was talking to my friend next to me, and Mr. S had decided to sit behind me and be weird. The drum Major meant to throw his pen at Mr. S, but it ended up hitting me. Hard.
And I almost died of embarrassment, mostly because I had no idea what was going on. But I hear Mr. S laughing at me and then I turned around and he was like,
"YOU GOT PUNK'D."
And everybody was cracking up.
It was basically amazing.

At band camp, there's a small wooded area with a path through it; you must take said path in order to get to the field we practice on. I believe it was my second or third day of band camp.
I had my drum on (it is somewhat large, and I am somewhat short. I have the third-largest of four) and was walking. There was a huge rock in the middle of the path, which I didn't see. Suddenly, two noises were heard: the first being my drum hitting the rock, resulting in me hitting my head very hard on my drum, causing a large crack in the rim, and ending with me flat on my behind. The second noise was me cursing very loudly (I was told that they heard me on the field). People came over to help me up, and I wobbled to the field.
My band director looked at my drum and immediately said that it would need a new rim (which I never got). I also got a huge lump on my forehead. I was a bit dizzy that day, and had some headaches, but was fine by evening, by which time, I was laughing about it with everybody else.
I also fell once marching onto the field at a competition. There was a yard marker a good ten feet from where it was supposed to be. I got right back up, and we didn't lose points. And one other time at practice when my shoe was untied. I fell, stood up, kicked it off to the side, and started marching. Then the percussion tech ran up and told me to put it back on. Yeah, I'm a bit of a klutz. Of course, most of the time, I find it more funny than embarrasing. sweatdrop mrgreen

At one of out home football games we had to march on the feild and play the Star Spangle Banner.( we were still in the mist of learning it because no one was seriouse about it) so anyways we were playing it and tsomething happened and everybody was playing a diferent piece and our bd had to cut us off. It was really embarrising and everyone on the stands just looked at us in silence as we walked into the stands.

haha lets see.. when i was the only one out of the whole band who played an extra note super loud when or i was the only one who kept marching when all the other people behind and next to me already stopped.. or when i had forgotten the half step during the trio.. yea im preeetty horrible

lol well this didn't happen to me .well we were playing Grambling ( our gangster song xD) and everyone started danceing in the stands as the brass played..then on of the Freshman saxophone players got carried away and stepped on one of the Junior's Tenor saxs XD...everyone stopped at just started freaking out
as for me...well it's not tht embrassing..but well during Summer band. we were practiceing our sets for our new show "Cirque Du Soleis"( i think thtz how u spell it ^^; wink and the stupid Fishes (freshman) wouldn't shut up. so our band director made us do pushups as punishment. and u tried to do mine ( i not good at pushups razz ) and then my BD calls me out and says " what are u doing Susie? break Danceing??" the whole band staryed cracking up .. razz i suck at pushups rofl ..
ANd the most embrassing? well
in my Fish Year . We were at an Away Game. And the other band waz playing the Star-Spangle Banner. And then all of the Sudden the bottom of my flute falls on the floor.. Making this HUGE noise. And me and my dumb self decided to pick it up -.-...The flute section got so mad at me xD lol

marching band practice, the week of state:
at the end of our finale (FireBird: MVT. 2) we have this huge cymbal role in the pit, and I had to be the "china boy", well, I was playing the vibes rite before it happened, and as I began I hit the little inside dome thingy that chinas have if their upside down with the mallet(the wrong place to hit) and the tip of my mallet flew off and landed right where drumline was (midfield). so the week of state i broke the best pair of vibe mallets we had....there's also the that I broke crash cymbals, but I shouldn't get into that.

Hm...
During band class: We broke the cord in the marimba...took all class to try to fix it.
Marching band practice that afternoon: We were still fixing it when I noticed a little spider on the marimba. (It was kinda cute...XD )
A conversation went as follows.
Me: Oh, look a spider!
Jenna ,our Section Leader: 0_0 WHERE?
Director: =D *gets evil idea*
Me: Aw, it's gone.
Director: Jenna it's on you!
Jenna: *screams loud enough to stop the band's tuning and make them do a collective WTF*
Me and our director: XDDDD
One by one the rest of the pit comes over: What the heck happened?
XDD
That was the same day that we learned that the short pit member has a girlfriend...I couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the day...
He was just like...
"Yeah, I've got a girlfriend...."
We were like...
"WTF XD"

its not really my embarrassing moment but someones worst:
okay we were at our first 8th grade football game and someone was running up and down the stands and tripped and fell on top of someones sax and then it fell through the cracks of the stands and broke almost every key on there. needless to say he was almost murdered with about 200 to 250 witnesses if it hadn't of been for a baritone and tuba player restraining her and me getting the dude who broke her sax out of there. i know i shouldn't have but the band director wanted to personally thank him for breaking like a 5 hundred dollar instrument.

I was in band camp and i hadnt eaten much that day.
I have blood sugar problems too....
So, when i was in the middle of playing, everything went blurry and i remember hitting someones feet..
I woke up with all the percussionists around me and telling me i passes out.
(on top of the guy i was standing by who i thought was cute)
I was told i had to go with someone to call my mom.
On my way there i passed out in front of the whole 8th & 9th grade band camp AND the guy who was going to be my new band teacher...

9th grade year i end straigh back on my back and now if any one back steps wrong i get brought up and this yr (10th)getting told to put my insterment down in the middle of pracites because i started to cry in shoulder started to hurt so much it might not sound embarrassing but to my it was im the tomboy that never crys in my band

we were marching out in the field practicing for our christmas parade when i stepped to the left in our routine instead of the right and i tripped setting a chain reaction of people that almost everyone and their instrument was on the floor in pain. the thing was that my friend planed this ahead of time and he told me the steps to the march since i was absent. well that accident made me fall into a basoon and it snaped in half. i can never look at a basoon the same way ever again . . .
