@Koosei: Oh no, I know what kind of work librarians do. I used to TA at the school library. Okay, I know it's not on as grand a scale, but it's tough work. x_x
school librarian. fun. I've thought of going into a school for the summer holidays, but I eventually want to go into archives and work with the OLD (almost ancient) materials.
yeah. I did a runaround for my first term and went to a special library, and I was able to TOUCH and flip through the pages of a book that was just under 200 years old. *sighs* heart heart heart If you like the book so much, why don't you marry it! (jk mrgreen )

it was SO AWESOMELY AMAZING!! it had that old leather binding, and the pages were yellow and crinkled, and it even SMELLED like an old book. not one of the ones that has the mold and whatnot in it, but the sort of smell that you'd expect to get from a museum exhibition. like freshly pressed pages slightly musty from time. whee that's why I wanna go into archives. So I can be around those books all the time, and be trusted to hold and handle them.
