Chloe tucked the small dragon-creature close to her, a small shiver traveling down along her spine. She looked up, all color draining from her face.
Roux's wings flared outward, despite the small patches where pink flesh shown through, despite how a few scattered onto the wind, only to frost over and quickly fall. The gentle words sent a stab of pure fury through him, she didn't know him! Part of him understood the truth, was pleased that someone was saying what he already knew with words out loud but that she dare try and think that she...
Zoe was gently set down on the booth in moments and Chloe was stumbling over the snowy ground with an urgancy. She saw Natsuki already moving to step between them and the other woman had diverted the boy but.. he didn't seem like he'd be calmed too quickly.
Her foot caught on a small rock that lay half frozen in the ground and she tumbled forward, giving a small cry as she crashed into We`rika in a tangle of scarfs and arms. She gave a small cough and groan, managing to croak out, "Roux!"
The temperature wavered before the extreme cold dissipated, the area around the Raeven and his kissing booth becoming quite a bit warming seeming as both Natsuki's apperance before him and Chloe's voice calling his name put him in check.
His wings settled again, looking stunned and confused to see Natsuki there. This was the one with the ice creams and cold treats, not a target of anger.
In fact... he blinked, looking over Natsuki's shouler toward the other woman. Why had he been furious earlier? It seemed... foggy. Distant. Yes, there lurked the rage deep inside, always, but whatever had just happened was trivial.
He stared at Natsuki with an expression of puzzlement. So much.. so much lately.

Alex put her hand on Natsuki's shoulder, ready to push her aside if Roux attacked. She had no idea what had enraged the Raevan, but something she had said had hit close to him, and he hadn't wanted to hear it. She'd seen Chloe fall but was helpless to do anything; she was prepared to take the brunt of any backlack that would come from her actions.
And just like that, it was over.
The Italian looked at the icy Raevan. There was no anger or contempt in her face, no distrust or fear. Instead, she held awe and amazement in her eyes. The amount of magic he possessed, and the control to do it...no wonder he was molting! She had an idea that he was too reliant on his ice powers, but she certanly wasnt' going to tell him that. Alex decided she would apologize before she left, give him time to decide just how much he hated her. Certainly, there was nothing scarier than angering such a magnificent being, but that truth that had angered him may have helped. Maybe not. Alex felt tired inside, and regretful for hurting the Raevan who was simply trying to help the Lab.
"Roux," she breathed the name. Her throat was still constricted from the cold, and how quickly it had left. "Forgive me. You are too beautiful for me to know my boundaries." She turned to Natsuki, mere inches away. "You, my sweet, are a life saver. I may insist to get your number after this." Alex's lips quirked in a smile. Even after something as tiring as facing an elementalist, her good nature would not be daunted.
Alex cast another glance at the lovely Raevan; she thought of trying to kiss his hand in apology, but she didn't think he wanted her within his sight. With an apologetic nod to Roux, she murmured, "I'm going to check on Chloe," before trudging towards the collapsed woman.
Zoe had watched the whole thing with a sense of bewilderment until he saw the pink-haired lady fall. He flapped his wings and closed the distance between himself and her, flitting around her in distress. The Gwee didn't dare land on the other creature - he smelled funny - and he wanted to make sure the pretty one was all right. When he saw Alex coming, he chirruped to her in a strange pitch, literally flying circles over the tangled two.

We`rika was too distracted on his short journey to meet Chloe, he barely bothered listening to the poor man he forcibly dragged behind him. Oh well, everyone needed a slave if only for the night.
"--your name...?"
"Hum? Oh, We`r--" Before he could finish, a body stumbled against him. Jesus, he was a magnet tonight! Even being so slight a body, it took him so off-guard that he tripped right over his own feet and landed bottom first on the cold ground, along with the poor passerby. In quick reflex, he clutched the poor thing (or she as he was starting to notice) in his arms and his good mood quickly left him and a few curses began to form under his scarf. That is until he saw the girl had a nice pink top.
"Oh... C-Chloe right...?"He blurted out. Well it looked like he didn't have to walk all the way to her, she came right to him. The Huichol pulled her away from his grip but kept a hand on her shoulder for support, asking her if she was intact, a bit distractedly as his eyes seemed more attentive to her hair. They matched pretty perfectly, and at least he wasn't the only one with the cheery color tonight.

When Tyson had regained his footing during the horrifying event from a child's eye, he had darted back towards Chloe's booth. Running as fast as his little legs would allow. He saw her crash into the other man and fall but kept running, skidding in the snow and falling onto his stomach.
With fear as his strength, he quickly stood and skittered a few more inches ahead, diving under Chloe's kissing booth once he had reached the haven.
The child quickly disappeared from sight, thinking this was a safe place to hide. His sister would find him soon....oh why did he wander off like that? Why did he have to get bored of their paper route and head this way? Now he was hiding under a booth on the verge of tears. What a frightening day this was turning into for the eight year old.

Walking over to the Lucky Pan's booth with Eiry tagging along behind, Isi sighed and looked once more over his shoulder at the young frei. Isi had spent a majority of the time calming his young frei. If he had been there, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Well, perhaps the plushie he had won would cheer up the poor thing. He felt bad for leaving Eiry alone and now the boy refused to leave his frei alone for a moment.
"Come along now, Eiry. I have something to cheer you up," the crippled boy said as he hobbled to the desk and looked around for the owner, his friend, Chloe.
The minty raevan followed close after his 'Uncle'. He had calmed down with the help from Isi and now his heart rate had returned to normal. Floating, slightly wobbling and reaching out for Isi to keep his balance, Eiry looked at the booth in confusion. He didn't know what Isi was going to give him so he was confused and excited.

"It's not that, Alex. I've met Roux on a couple of occassions, and I somewhat understand his temperment," Natsuki said, with her gray eyes looking like thick ice. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a Cafe Jubilee business card, with her personal contact details written on the back. Holdig it out, she smiled. "If you ever make it down to Durem, look me up. My cafe has the best beverages and desserts in Durem."
Turning her attention back to the distraught raevan, Natsuki gave him one of her genuine smiles and nodded politely. "Roux, I'll be back in a little, okay? Just take it easy for a little while." Her feet stung from the cold, but she found the power to move herself from the spot. "I need to take a walk and warm my feet up. See ya soon."
Natsuki felt for Chloe, but her growing concern was with Roux. Though he loved attention, it was clear it needed to be in moderation. Unfortunately, the fascination surrounding the raevans caused many people to test their curiosity with good intentions. Thankfully, nothing terribly bad happened, though poor Tyson was visibly upset. Another raevan approached with a person who looked like his guardian.
"Hey there," she said politely, walking towards them, but only in passing as she needed a break, and heard the Dice Pan calling back to her.

Natsuki paced back and forth a while before advancing on the dice pan. A couple of people managed to snag prizes, so the game wasn't entirely impossible. Taking the large dice up, her fingers strained to hold them as they were still slightly numb from the incident with Roux. Hot chocolate sounded like a supreme idea, but it would need to wait a little longer. She didn't want to send her body into shock.
"Gimme something!" She chanted several times before pitching the dice back into the pan. Her head lolled around in counter clockwise circles, watching the dice bounce around.

Nope. Still no luck. A total of 80 was nice, though she needed the extra one... hundred necessary to get the Zavier prize. Clutching the sides of the pan like one would if they were heaving in a toilet, Natsuki was terribly close to begging the dice for a miracle of some kind. If she were a person with less than adequate manners, she'd just kick the bin or rearrange the pieces when no one was looking. Curse that conscience of hers.
"It looks like I am going to need a new game plan," She said, as strawberry blond waves creeped their way out from under her hat. Plucking them up one at a time, in an exacting matter, she shook then up and let them fall again.

"Taunting me, are we?" Natsuki sighed, with the 73 staring back at her. Again, 100 points shy from where she needed to be. Perhaps the game would be more enjoyable with someone to talk to, however, every seemed to be avoiding the dice pan for some reason. She opted not to talk to herself so as to prevent people thinking she was disturbed.
"One last roll and then I am officially going for real food," Natsuki resolved, rolling a final time.

Chloe sighed in relief as Roux just.. stopped. She was stunned that he'd do such a thing, usually he wouldn't quit until the source of his aggrivation was dealt with. She blinked as she realized there was a warm body quite near and someone was holding her up and steady.. and speaking, at that.
"C-Chloe right...?"
She looked at the tanned man in front of her, flushing slightly. She looked down shyly, glasses sliding down the bridge of her nose. "A-Ah.. yes. I'm.. I'm Chloe Star." She carefully stood up, brushing the dirt and snow from her knees before leaning down to offer her hand to help him up. She felt like her cheeks were burning, how embarassing, she'd run someone over!
"Please.. F-Forgive me.." Her voice was a timid mumble. She vaugly registered the slightly frantic Gwee fluttering above her head. "Are you alright?"
Roux watched the woman kiss the air towards him, blinking mildly before shrugging. He just ignored Natsuki, he didn't care if she didn't have any ice cream on her. With a sigh he continued his post as normal.

After a nice break away from the Eskimo Kissing Booth, Natsuki decided to return and check in on Roux and Chloe. Hopefully things, calmed down a little bit. Roux had given her the cold shoulder previously, but at least no one was hurt. That is what was most important to her. Fixing her ruffled hair and reapplying her lip gloss, Natsuki decided to brave the stalls again. Walking back up the booth, she approached Roux slowly.
"Mind if I make a donation?" she asked Roux, slowly taking her money out and smiling softly. There was a noticible hint of concern and discomfort in her voice. Roux's previous display of power had shook her up despite her brave face.

Roux looked down at Natsuki, frowning. He still had a slight air of confusion about him, as though he wasn't completely sure why he was here anymore. She reminded him, however, with her pro-offering of cash. He gave a small, suffering sigh and looked up at his sign.
He lifted his hand, holding it out for her to kiss, his wrist limp, fingers slightly spread. If he must then he must...

Bless him. Natsuki didn't dare attempt to explain to Roux that he had the Kissing Booth concept a bit... misunderstood. Though considering the tough time he just had, she wasn't going to confuse him any more. Placing the donation gently on the counter, Natsuki smiled again. Natsuki delicately held the raevan's hand with both of her own. Without a word, she lifted his hand slightly, closed her thickly lashed eyes, and pressed her lips gently atop it. Her lips lingered only two or three seconds, and then she pulled away. Part of her worried that Roux would be tempted to freeze her lips shut if she held on much longer. It was a simple, comforting kiss, like one a friend would give another in need.
"Thank you, Roux," Natsuki smiled, opening her stormy gray eyes again. "Would you like a popsicle or something to drink?"

The ghosty raevan looked around with wondering red eyes, his gaze swallowing up the fair around him with a hungry curiosity. He liked being outside and luckily there weren't any machines around, really. So that was a plus for him. He was even more calm and he had stopped shivering a couple minutes after they arrived. Floating at Isi's level, Eiry looked at each passerby that wandered in the fair. There was something going on where people had run into each other and now things were beginning to slow again. Musing softly, Eiry looked for his brother, but after a couple minutes of not seeing anyone around, the frei guessed that they must've gone home for some reason or other. In a way, Eiry was glad. He wouldn't have to be on his toes all the time or worry about his brother poping out of no where and stealing his soul. Then again, Eiry was sad, too. He missed his brother and wanted to be near to him.
Wibble wobbling, Eiry reached out again and stablized himself with Isi's shoulder.
"Eiry do you want anything?" the cripple boy asked, looking up and over his shoulder at the raevan floating beside him. He tapped the case on his broken leg against the ground as he waited for the being's reply.
Eirdirsceol shook his head and fluttered his wings lightly, which made him wobble again and he reached out again for his keeper's shoulder.
Isi shrugged and chuckled lightly, "You're doing a lot better now, huh? I won't leave you again, now. I'm sorry for leaving you alone at the booth the first time."
Eiry nodded his head and lifted his brows at the boy as if to say, 'that was a big mistake'.
Isi nodded again at the minty raevan, rubbing at his head as he leaned on one of his crutches. Quickly he lifted his gaze and searched the skies for the singing whale. Beauregard was at the other end the fair and he was STILL singing and orbiting each and every booth until he finished a song and moved on to the next one. At the food and drink booths, though, Beau would wait until they rewarded him with some food until he floated away on the wind to another love song. Beau loved this time of year because there was no end to the love songs he could sing. No one really seemed to notice him either, so Beau was happy to be like the PDA over the fair, floating like a lost balloon over the heads of the populice.
The boy could only shake his head and roll his eyes at the red helium filled fish.

Roux gave a small sniff, turning his head away, as she kissed his hand. Hadn't he made this same gestue to her once? Oh yes, but it was because she'd brought him all of that ice cream. This time was a show of subordinance to a superior - himself.
Food? No.. he didn't feel much like anything, even a sweet cold treat. He waved his hand at her as though to shoo her away. If being in a Kissing Booth was this easy then he would get as many as possible and get as many green paper bills as he could. He'd bear with the small amount of work to feel this superior.
