Rina had to snicker at his small story. Though her snicker sounded a little like wheezing as she tried stifling it as much as she could. Akimaru slowly scooted out from under the pool table and stared at the man. He then began sniffing him and drew back slowly as the powerful smell burned his nose. He then looked over to Kat and said, "This man's story is quite farfetched. Rina gave a small giggle and came crawling out saying, "That is what makes it funny. You really need to gain a sense of humor."

Kat smiled slightly as she heard Rina snicker. The old man looked down at the two dogs and he gave a kind smile. "Awww. You saved more? Aren't you a sweetie. What are their names?" he asked, holding out a hand to the dogs. Kat smiled and pointed to Akimaru, "That's Akimaru, and that's Rina." she said whilst pointing to Rina. Kat looked at the two and smiled slightly. "It's called a tall tale. It isn't supposed to be true." she said looking at Akimaru. The old man looked at Kat with a chuckle. "You and talking to those animals." he chuckled full heartedly. He then heard someone calling his name and nodded. "Hey. I gotta go. Time for me to go to the doctors. Got an appointment. I'll see you later." he said, hugging her once more before jumping down from the table and heading down the hall, waving to Kat. Kat hugged and waved back to him and then looked at the two dogs. "Well, what now?" she asked them, as if she were truely expecting an answer.

Rina looked over to Kat and said, "You tell us. After all, we are looking out for your best intrests." Akimaru's ears perked up and he soon began sniffing the air. "Damien..." He whispered while he grit his teeth. He then walked to the door and pawed it open, seeing Damien about to open the door. Akimaru began growling wildly as Damien stared down at him. Damien then simply passed by Akimaru, and as he was about to pounce, Rina got in the way of Akimaru. "Let Kat decide." Damien slowly walked up to Kat and softly stated, "I'm sory Kat. That is the only way I have learned to let out all of my pain." He then slowly leaned in to kiss Kat, but halfway through he stopped and bit his lip. He pulled back slowly and then said, "I still love you, even if you don't."

Kat listened to the two but her thoughts about what to do were interrupted when Akimaru mensioned Damien. She let out a sigh and her anger was gone though. She looked at Damien and smiled weakly. She wrapped her hands around his and took in a breath. "Next time, Damien. When you feel like that, don't hide it from me. I don't like people hiding things from me. That's all anyone has ever done to me my whole life. I can help you." she said smiling softly. "I still love you. I just don't want to see you hurt." she said softly. She wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes, giving a soft smile. "Just don't hide things from me anymore." she said softly, tears began to roll down her cheeks slightly, hot and salty they were, but none the less, being in Damien's arms was calming and it made her feel so much better.

"I won't. Sometimes I think it is just better if I am the only one feeling the pain." Damien said as he felt the small tear hit the shoulder of his shirt. Akimaru just sighed and said "More of the lovey dovey stuff." Rina then nudged into him and nuzzled his side with her nose. "Well if we didn't have this responsibility then we could be all lovey dovey." Akimaru then turned to her and let out a huff before saying, "Of all the strange couples, you look at me?" Rina just giggled and said, "Working with you for so many years made you start to grow on me."

Kat took in a breath. "So you think me seeing you like that...Isn't painful?" she asked, pulling away from him as she looked at him. "I would've rather you told me what was going on then seeing you like that. It tought you were going to die." she said, tears rolling down her cheeks as she looked down. "I feel emotions either way. You can't hide them from me. So don't try to. That's what everyone else does!" she said, wiping away her tears. She looked at Akimaru and glared at him. "Get over it already! If you don't like it then you shouldn't have followed me. Listen to Rina, you need to loosen up." she said, before turning back to Damien. "No more of this hiding stuff. I don't hide things from you." she said, folding her arms over her chest.

Damien looked down at the dog and then asked, "Did you just... Well Kat I promise I won't keep things from you anymore! I love you and I want to be with you, but sometimes it's hard to be with me. I love you Kat, and I don't want anything getting between us, including my little secrets." Akimaru was slightly taken back by Kat suddenly yelling at him, and he then said "Well then." Rina just laughed as she began to nuzzle him again and said "You must have born with a stick up your a**."

Kat smiled, glad to hear those words. "Good. I love you too." she said softly, wrapping her arms around him once again. "You're not hard to be with." she said softly, her voice went back to normal and she looked at Akimaru from Damien's shoulder. Kat smiled, and then laughed at Rina's comment, it was hilarious to Kat. She just held Damien close to her and then she kissed him on the lips. She then pulled back and just went back to hugging him. It was good to know that he was willing to make things work.

"Damien, please report to the main office. Damien, please report to the main office now." Anny's chherful voice came over the loudspeaker and Damien then stared up. He kissed Kat on the cheek and said "I have to go. I'll be back." Damien quickly ran out of the room as everything seemed to be an emergency with the people in the asylum and Akimaru then looked up at Kat and said "Err... I need to... stretch out my legs." Rina then looked over to Akimaru and back to Kat and procclaimed, "He has to pee." Akimaru seemed to get flustered by this, but then he turned back and said "Yes well, nature calls and I can't really use a toilet."

Kat looked to Damien with longing eyes but she nodded slightly and kissed him back. "Alright." she said softly, before her eyes fell back onto Akimaru. Kat giggled softly at Akimaru and nodded, "Alright, let's go." she said softly as she headed to the exit of the asylum. She held the door open for the two of them and waited for them. "Can't be gone long though." she said smiling brightly. "Next time you have to pee though, tell me, instead of 'I need to stretch my legs'. " she said softly. She laughed again and closed her eyes, taking in a breath of the fresh air, and feeling the cool breeze against her body was refreshing.

Rina followed them not only to help Kat, but just for kicks. Akimaru bowed his head down a bit and then said, "Well it's not as easy for boys to tell girls as you think." Rina trotted up to Akimaru and then stated, "You're cute when you're shy." Akimaru just shook his head and began sniffing the ground. He then stopped and let Kat and Rina walk a little ahead and then dashed off. Rina giggled and began walking after him. A quick yelp was heard from Akimaru as he yelled, "Don't watch!" Rina then came running out of the bushes and said "I didn't know he was... right then with..."

Kat giggled slightly and rolled her eyes. She stopped by a tree and stared up at the sky, her attention jerking down to Rina when she heard a yelp. Kat started to giggle and smiled, shaking her head. "You two are so silly." she said smiling brightly. Kat moved her bangs out of her eyes, thinking of what Smokey had earlier said to her. The sun shined down upon her and it made her feel warm and cozy, like she was underneath a blanket of some sort. She took in another breath, the air smelled so much better then she first thought it had. She began to hum herself a soft little tune as she waited for Akimaru to finish his buisness, patiently.

Akimaru slowly made his way out of the bushes and looked Rina face to face. "Don't you ever do that again!" She still was trying to find her words as she said, "No. I won't. Ever. Never again." Akimaru then picked up a new scent. He rose his head high in the air as he said, "Something's wrong." Rina then walkedover to him and whispered, "What do you think it is?" His head flicked back and forth before he said, "Engines, and beating. Like a hundred giant birds."

Kat looked at Akimaru and she suddenly didn't feel to happy or peaceful anymore. "Alright. Time to find Damien." she said, as she moved over to them and began to lead them back over to the asylum. She held the door open for them and looked around nervously. "We better hurry." she said softly, her heart began to race again. When he mensioned the beating like birds she thought of those helicopters and that worried her. She didn't want a repeat of earlier. Her heart rate increased and she looked around, adrenaline rushing through her veins. She took in a soft breath and waited for them, impatiently.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Akimaru said as he hurried into the asylum. Rina followed close behind them and Akimaru began sniffing him out. He quickly ran after the scent and made it to the monitoring room where Damien, Cameron and Anny were going over some files. Akimaru quickly yelled "Helicopters!" But it was to no avail. They just stared at him, and Cameron asked, "How did a dog get in here?" He grabbed Akimaru by the back of his neck and walked to the front gate where he saw Kat. "What's going on?" Cameron asked as he looked at her, but then stopped and looked over to Damien. He had already heard it. Damien turned to Kat and said, "People are going to get hurt, and I need you to get them into a safe place. Please, Kat. I promise that I will come back." He then looked over to Cameron, but Cameron simply shook his head and said, "I'm not leaving, you are my patient."
