"Believe it or not, you're on the outskirts of the Village Hidden in the Shadows. The place was overrun with maidens a month or so ago. I was sent here from the Kage Council to rescue anyone who missed the retreat. Like these gentlemen here." The others didn't move on mention of them, too busy looking around for attackers to notice. "I just heard the Hikage and his shinobi are preforming Anbu tests secretly in Rikudo. If it's training you want, he's the guy to talk to." said Hoburo.
Her voice trailed off. She searched the memmories she had of ant news she had heared for anything about this place. She turned her attention to the men behind him who looked a bit on edge.
"What happened to them?" Tsurishi asked."They won't say." replied Hoburo. "I only had to deal with a few of these maidens, but they've been running for them for weeks. Best not to worry about them." He gazed Tsurishi, looking worried for his men. "You'd best get to Rikudo, young one. The village is not yet safe for shinobi. And you're missing the Anbu tests as well!"
"I see..Alright then. I supose ill head there now. Thank you..erm..i didnt catch your name.."Hoburo bowed and introduced himself. "Hoburo Rataka, Anbu captain, Kage Council division. May our paths cross aagain, Miss Tsurishi."
Tsurishi said with a smile, then bowed and went on her way to Rikudo.

Alfod_Rithel One of the silent shinobi saw the girl in the corner of his eye, and raced towards her. "Wait, where are you going?" he asked as he drew a kunai and sprinted towards the girl, yelling a blood thristy war cry. She noticed the man running toward the lake, about to dive in. Shocked, she hid behind a rock. She cut her webbed foot on a piece of glass. Blood trickled from the injury. She summoned up some chakra to heal the wound. The man aproached her underwater. Knowing that normal humans can't hold their breaths for very long, she fled to an underwater cave, knowing that he'd follow her.

The man stopped before the shore, and gazed angerily at the water. "Hey, stop!" yelled Hoburo, coming behind with the others. "I've told you! The maidens are gone!" he said to the man, who backed away slowly, not completely convinced. Hoburo gazed into the lake, looking for what he had seen.

The maidens are gone!" he said to the man, who backed away slowly, not completely convinced. Hoburo gazed into the lake, looking for what he had seen. Noticing that the man didn't follow her, she decided to pop out of the water. She looked around for the man, who was staring down intently at the lake. "What are you looking for?" Shura asked. She attempted to hide the gills and mermaid tail from the unknown man.

The man did not take his eyes off of the water. "Ascuse him, miss." said Hoburo, coming between the man and the new girl. "It's been... rough out here and we're all a bit jumpy. Who are you and why are you here?" he asked.

"Shura no Sabaku... I came to enjoy the lake here. The water's a lot clearer than it is in the lake near my house. I'm thinking of moving here and I was just scanning the area. I found a nice underwater cave here. Mizu-mi, my pixie, enjoys it here too." Shura responded. A flash of light radiated from her necklace, making a pixie materialize in front of their eyes.
"Mizu-mi, at your service! What can I do for ya today?" Mizu-mi piped up.

"Don't worry, it's not like everybody else isn't on edge." Shura added. "I was about to leave in a minute" She attempted to pull herself out of the lake, her mermaid tail shrinking to human legs and her gills quickly disappearing. Shura checked her belongings and made sure everything was in place.
"Nice to meet you" Shura commented.

"I'm sorry miss, but this place has been quarantined by order of the Kage Council. This place is still recovering from the maiden invasion and we need to make sure this place is habitable for the others." he said.

I wonder if they would even let me in the gate, I hope they're friendly.

"Halt, who gos there?!" called a shinobi high on top of the gate. Hoburo had been assigned the duty of protecting the Village borders, and didn't take his task lightly. "Identify yourself, now!"

Hoburo eyed the boy, making sure he wasn't a Bekobi spy. "Why have you come to the Village Hidden in the Shadows, Orico?" he asked.
