-Oil Rig...Crispy Space Elf?-

Just as she had made her way out of the hiding spot, KAZ-ZAP!, a bolt of lightening slammed into the metal surface behind her, shocking her momentarily then sends her flying into a storage shack. The metal sheets bend inwards as she hits it then drops to the floor curled up as the electric current courses through her body. Lyendi laid there in a fetal position, shaking severly and in pain until she realized that her left hand felt empty. Lyendi closed and opened her eyes slowly as her vision was blurry and seeing double but no doubt about it, her left hand did not have the sword. Slowly she sat up and shook her head, her vision wasn't better but it was enough to see something that resembled the sword lying several feet away from where she had stood before the lightening struck. Lyendi stood up and began staggering towards the sword.

-Where there is one, there is always another...-

A screen in front of the pilot displayed what was going on outside though not in actual detail but rather using the heat signatures of everyone aboard the rig. "Jeez, something is interfering with the sensors...too much heat...", she grumbled and fiddled with the settings but nothing seemed to work. From the middle top of the fighter a small (roughly 2 ft. in height) pod launched to the surface, broke through the water and flew to its designated spot and hovered. Four panels opened up on each round side to reveal a camera that zoomed in on the action down on the rig, "Much better.". She controlled the view of the camera with a small "joystick", zooming in on a man swimming to a boat at the bottom of the rig, shrugged her shoulders and turned to another man who was...flying...towards a large twister that seemed to be spitting out bolts of lightening in random directions.

[Secure Frequency 295.75]<> He said and to any of the people that could see, they saw a VF-1 with an NP-BP-01 FAST pack flying past them trying to distract the VF-11.

-Rub a Dub Dub-

Lieutenant Eileen Patterson had been quietly sobbing and shivering, her arms crossed to clasp her shoulders, her knees tucked underneath her elbows. Her clothes were damp all the way through, clinging and like ice. Her ocean spray-salted skin felt at times sticky and at others crackly. Her brown bangs were plastered over her face too, dragged down by the weight of the saltwater.

She hadn't noticed the arrival of another, even with the rocking of the water craft, and so was startled to a scream of panic by the gunshot. She whirled about in the chair, the faux leather-patterned vinyl not wanting to yield her movements, causing her cyan ASDF uniform to pinch, chafe, and in general make her wince with the motion.

"...aaah~! ..t-the boat's sinking!" her voice was almost entirely inaudible over the howling winds and the increasingly turbulent waters, meek and soft and all sorts of insecure. She didn't notice the water rushing up to meet the lightning shield. She just clinged to the highest part of the seat, and tried to get higher without hitting the electric dome. Just then, she felt a sudden poof of air, and heard a sound like a snap...or possibly a pop. The shield. It was gone! She pushed the hair ouf of her eyes and looked about, her green eyes finally noticing Daniel at the fore of the sinking boat.

She blinked at him.

-...This one wants to get the girl-

The huge black and red shape roared like some great mythical beast into the scene, sending a great cloud of rough mist towards the doomed boat's occupants.

A man.

The camera zoomed in on him, and Kami no Kaze looked him over with disdain before dismissing him with a faint, "tch." The variable fighter reconfigured to battroid mode once more, and snapped the katana's edge towards Daniel, pointing at him with the tip of her blade. "Little man," the cool, clear voice of a young woman addressed him over the mecha's external speaker system. "This girl is ours. You will leave here, or you shall know the folly of crossing Kami no Kaze."

-In the sky...out of witty titles-

The entire vortex moved just moments after the psycho spheres had plowed through the still glittering stormy sky towards Vic Voltage. (And if they were somehow able to follow him? He'd continue moving, as if one step ahead.) It was as if he was actively reading Gold's mind...except there was no telepathic contact that the mentally gifted GNG agent could sense. For that matter, another large bolt of lightning arched its way toward Goldbrease, as if to further say, "I can see you!" Yet that was impossible. Vic Voltage had definitely been affected by the flashbang and for that matter, he was behind a wall of fire and lightning that he surely couldn't see through.

<>
*gold had a lock on Vic’s mind and even if he could move super fast he could be fallowed or even caught off guard, the spheres began to chase him different manner to surround then impact in a triangle formation*

~How is he… He must have connected himself to the electricity of the storm and is using it to sense the natural electricity that flows thru the body. He is reading my thought patterns thru electricity!~

<>
*Gold erects a mental barrier directly over his body blocking off his body’s electrical signal from outside sources, he then sets one arm behind him and begins drawing mental energy for something,
The slot on the rifle holding the power cell opens then cell pops out and hovers in front of gold, then flies right into the incoming lightning bolt exploding sending out a small a blast of electricity from overloading with the absorption of the lightning bolt.

Now let me play with you….

<>
*gold holding his lock on Vic’s mind, forms a thought process and jams it into Vic’s head making it be like voices running around and around
~implanted thought the VF that hit the ocean was my friend who did there best to help me, the other VF is about to rescue the girl I kid napped, I must stop the VF!~
(Based on Vic’s intel roll a dice with modifiers based on that, and see if he can partially or fully resist the thought implant)

[Daniel - Risk vs. Reward]

God of Wind? Sounded more like a callsign than a proper 'name'. Daniel scoffed mentally. Probably had the ability to whip up a small wind on command. People here were always so descriptive and imaginative with their names.

He smiled, and put his hands up in a sign of surrender, course he still held his pistol, not that he imagined this woman thought a handgun was any sort of danger to the huge machine. Hell, he doubted it would do much without some point blank, well placed shots.

Money was money, dying was dying. They weren't an even trade, not quite in his mind. He did still have a little smile on his face. He was quite close in his mind. Would have stood a chance of sneaking away if that moron bounty hunter with the fancy jet was even a halfway decent pilot. But alas, luck is a fickle mistress.

"You good to swim?" he intoned quietly. He didn't move his lips or jaws, a little vintriloquism, throwing his voice out towards Eep. No telling what sort of sound pickup that behemoth had, but he doubted the quiet words would be heard over the reactor inside.

He kept his eyes on the big Mecha. He wasn't going to throw his life away for this little kidnapped soldier girl. But, well, if the opportunity presented himself, he'd make good his escape, with the goods.

"Don't suppose you're willing to negotiate up there?" he called out quite loudly towards the mecha, trying to make sure he was heard.

-Oil Rig, "No more Nice Space Elf"-

Lyendi knelt down and picked up the sword then got up, her eyes locking onto the twister, she clenched the sword tightly in her left hand. She raised her right hand high in the air, forehead crystal flashed and called out, "Angel Drive, Online!". A sudden burst of wind swirled away from her as Lyendi levitated slightly off the ground, arms to her sides, semi circle plates broke off from the metal cuffs on her wrists. The cuff itself began glowing brightly while the plates began spinning around the wrists rapidly, generating orbs of light. The neck-bracer crystal glowed the same way as the cuff. Three orbs of light now present were then connected by translucent beams to each other which then brought upon Lyendi a temporary bright force field that would complete the transformation.

Even though to her the transformation lasted several seconds, the outside world would see it unfold in a smaller time frame. The bright force field flickered then disappeared revealing Lyendi clad in a red and white sleek armor with bulky shoulders standing.

Consumed 1 SF for Armor Summoning

-I'll Help too?-

She clapped her hands together as she saw the transformation process through the video feed from the pod then began tapping away at the control panel, "You might have transformed but with your condition...it might not even make a difference...". Both optic beam cannons began charging up, illuminating the area around the fighter with a green glow that could be seen even from the surface. "Hrmm...", she grumbled running into a problem but later fixed it. "There we go! Little sister to big sister's rescue!", she yelled with a big grin and throwing her left arm in the air. At the pull of the trigger, both Optic Beam Cannons depleted its power cells and unleashed two powerful beams at a 45' angle directed at the twister. The beams would more than likely graze past the VT as well as pierce the edge of the oil rig.

Vic Voltage

Something was just occuring to Vic, even as he continued to successfully predict where those orbs were going. Apparently, he wasn't reading the electricity in Gold's body. The storm swirled around, dodging in the sky lit by the glitter of a myriad of sparks. His hearing was returning, and with the volume of his voice finally brought down to proper modulation, he muttered, "Was that VF my enemy? No wait...what the hell am I thinking? That was Kami's plane." He shook his head violently, dispelling the thought. "That other plane coulda been a friend though. Couldn't tell with alla' that flashbang in my head. Wonder where it went?"

((OOC: Ideas only work if they don't conflict with the subject's firmly grounded information. Vic Voltage and Kami no Kaze know each other pretty well. Vic was also partially blinded and deafened before the Valkyrie Wings went into the water, and before that point, Vic didn't see it clearly. There was stuff being shot and thrown at him, after all.))

"Gotta... finish this." Grimly, he stretched out his hands, and closed his eyes, intoning, "Mighty Donar, All Knowing Odin. Futsu-Nushi and Aji-Suki-Takahikone. Haokah, Huitzilopochtli. Kaminari and Take-mika-zuchi. Lei-zi, Indra, Tawhiki, and Namarrkun. Hear my call." The glittering sky began to pulse, as if a heartbeat was now linked to each spark floating in the air. "Shango and Summanus. Give me yer power. Kill this idjit who plays in our storm!"

Vic Voltage
SF Points Remaining: Completely Out.
Summary of point usage:
1 - Super Lightning barrage.
2 - Spark-Ridden Sky - Setup.
3 - Spark-Ridden Sky - Finale.

The entire sky seemed to become one huge lightning bolt. Every single spark that had been floating harmlessly in the sky flared to full life after two pulses. Goldbrease suddenly found himself surrounded by hundreds of thousands of small balls of lightning, streaking in at high speed from every single direction. There was no escape.

Just as there was no escape for Vic Voltage. The cost of the attack dissolved all but a marble-sized amount of lightning from his vortex. Which allowed him to see his last moments. Two incredible beams of energy lancing up from the water at him. He panted with exhaustion, clearly frustrated. If only he'd had some juice left.

He closed his eyes, and in those short moments, he sang, voice rough with fatigue. "You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your li~iips..." Then, the lounge singer was engulfed within two searing columns of light.

Victor Voltage: Exit, stage left.

((OOC: Yup, Vic's out. Gold, it'll take two SF points to nullify Vic's attack, probably with some sort of psycho shield or something. However, using your last SF point means you're spent. You're exhausted and need to rest for several hours, or at least have a good meal and a drink.))

Eileen and Kami no Kaze

Eileen nodded softly to the question, with the japanese, "un." almost inaudible. It probably was inaudible, with the storm still brewing the sky like a pot of boiling water. She cringed at a tremendous flash of lightning that turned the early morning-time lighting to full noon. What was going on?

Meanwhile, the Black VF-11 paused. The tip of the blade did not depart, but it was clear that the possibility of negotiation had stayed the mecha-sized sword. "Negotiate?" Came the thoughtful response. "Yes, I am willing to negotiate." Her guard wasn't down, but there was an expectancy there, as if she waited on him to elaborate.

The targeting computer lit up. A new unidentified threat? A girl clad in red and white armor was displayed on the screen, in a picture-in-picture fashion. Then twin beams of light erupted from the water. The blast instantly slagged the offhand arm of the VF even as Kami no Kaze quickly sidestepped. The blast wasn't intended for her. A pause, and she looked up quickly. "VICTOR!" came the cry over the loudspeaker. But it was too late. He was gone. She felt tears sting her eyes, and dashed them away furiously. Such was unbecoming of her, to shed tears for a man. Even if he was a friend. A good friend.

She didn't have time for this. The other fighter was obviously on the attack again. The sword was quickly sheathed, and the mecha's remaining hand reached down to scoop the two up. She would convert to Gerwalk as soon as she had them, and carry them back towards Downtown Aekea.

[Daniel and the Lion's Den]

A moment of distraction. That's all he wanted, that's all he needed. Of course it occured to him all these big assed blue bolts of light and energy would probably spell doom for him... but then again getting taken away by kidnappers and murderers probably wouldn't do much for his life expectancy either.

While Kami there was side steppin' and getting slagged, Daniel made the only desperate move he could think of in order to get any sort of bargaining ground out of here.

And that was getting the Hostage away from all the big fugly people with the mecha and superpowers.

He lunged over, shoulder ramming Eileen merely out of speed and expediency off the boat, towards the dark waters. She better know how to swim.

He turned back just in time to see a nice big hand looming down for him. He held his pistol ready, his hand slipped under his jacket, and he waited for the inevitable crushing doom to come down. Ain't no way he thought he could get away from that thing.

*gold was to focused on trying to keep his body’s electricity from giving himself away to realize what Vic’s massive thunder flash did, he saw balls of electricity flying towards him, gold brain racing on what to do, only one thing was possible with no time for a get a shield up…*

~gold eyes closed and the veins on his head popped into clear sight… if he didn’t have a helmet on to hide them~

2SF points burned
<>
*Every bit of the energy built up by his hand was instantly pulled back and just as the balls of lightning were about to hit a intensely powerful shockwave of mental energy rips out from gold in a 360 degree sphere meeting head on with the lightning in a fight, only the blast taking out vic from something below that he could not tell at the moment have him the leverage to blast it away like a grenade sending the lighting out and causing it to rain down on the rig like a shower with very little space between the bots twisting and zipping around each other as they headed downwards*

[huff huff huff]

*gold couldn’t keep himself up very well and so he let himself fall controlling his decent direction towards the ocean and not the rig, catching up with Vic’s remains along the way gold reached out and grabbed what was most likely what was left of Vic’s head as he descended downwards, being very difficult to see with dark thunderclouds over head, no light coming from the rig and his jump suit being gold/black in color, and the fact that it was night time*

~gold figures that with Vic’s thunderstorm vortex someone in the GNG should have noticed something with the satellites or someone at one of the weather centers at least would have honked the military about such a disturbance.~

-Oil Rig, Mission Completed?-

The large twister disappeared to reveal Vic who then launched what seemed to be his most powerful attack towards someone that could not be seen clearly even as the sun began to rise over the horizon. Then instantly two beams shot over Lyendi and towards Vic who was vaporized in the blink of an eye, his singing voice echoing through the air as the beams dissipated. The dramatic moment lasted a mere second before a shower of lightening bolts rained down to the oil rig. Had she waited any longer to summon her armor she would've bit the dust, however, the armor managed to suppress most of the voltage but in the process the armor plating cracked and pieces shattered.

Lyendi turned towards the edge of the oil rig where the beams had pierced the steel and metal framework, "Overkill for just one man...", her hand tightened around the sword and walked towards the edge. She looked down then unsheathed the blade and pointed where she thought the person responsible for Vic's death was, "That was a cowardly act!", Lyendi shouted, "Why don't you try that on me for a change and see how you fare!". Her hand holding the sword shook with anger, teeth grinding against each other. Something caught her eye, it seemed like one of those Valkyrie Fighters from the ASDF except it was black, it was doing something but her attention was on the one under the ocean's surface so she ignored it.

-Reunion?-

Inside the fighter, the pilot responsible for the attack was shocked and scared. She did not expect Vic to stop the twister, it was intended to disrupt it, not kill him. Seeing Lyendi with the sword pointed straight at her and the look on her face scrambled her thoughts on what she should do, reveal herself or run away? "What do I do, What do I do, What do I do?!", she repeatedly asked herself, hands up to her cheeks. Tears form in her eyes then run down her cheeks, shoulders heaving and finally she bursts out crying, raising her head up in a child like manner, hands touching her cheekbones. Her hands reach for the flight stick and thrust lever, VTOL engines kick in and the fighter begins rising to the surface...

"What the..." Dragonflame said as he saw a thunderstorm over the oil rig. He flew toward it and saw his enemy, the black VF-11. <> He said over a general radio frequency. <> He saw the twister dissipate as he flew toward the oil rig. He wanted to know what was going on but first he needed to assist those that needed it.

Dragonflame goes into guardian mode and flies toward the falling Goldbrease. He just barely manages to catch Goldbrease and lands amidst the wreckage of the helicopter. "Sorry about the radio call. Are you all right?" He said to Gold as he set him down and climbed out of the cockpit. "Which way did that VF-11 go anyway? I am in prusuit of that plane as the pilot attacked an ally of mine."
