Man, some real lack luster avatars have been getting too far in the past few contests. :[ How disappointing. There was some real good ones I saw this week too.

Bottle How do you arena people advertise for your entry? I'm all up for putting a banner in my sig and annoying my friends, but... how do you really get noticed - Or is it just luck? xD Post a lot, like all over the place. Word games is a really good forum to post in since it involves people looking at the avatar above them, so odds are for every post you make there at least one person will see your sig. You want to think about where you post. Try to stick to threads that are positive and happy, and be sure to be nice whenever you post (I don't think you'll have a problem with this). In a super fast moving place like the chatter box you are less likely to get people taking time to vote for a matching avatar. Avatar Talk can work sometimes but it can also back fire because the people there tend to rate harsher. Post in a few threads in the avatar arena forum to be seen by the regulars since that's the place with the highest percentage of people who will actually vote on avatars they see. So those are a few tips from an arena addict. Also thanks for the congrats.

You know, there are several threads about, especially in the A.T. forums that give reviews or list this weeks picks. The critics that do these threads go through every single avi in the arena before they list their faves. They have a LOT of readers and if you are featured in one or more than one then you will usually get a lot more votes. BUT these are seasoned avi artists, most of whom have won umpteen times and they have seen a LOT and always are looking for something new and fresh. If you have a really good avi, there is a good chance you will show up in one of these threads.
Another way is to get your avi on the ALL WALL. That can be a double edged sword though if your avi isnt really that great. You get hundreds of votes, but they are not going to all be good unless you have an amazing avi.
