Rainberries

Rainberries
It was a clear, beautiful morning. The mists of morning lingered over the grass, lightly covered with the thinnest layer of white. A crisp, cool morning breeze fluttered through the nearby trees, swaying their empty branches in the brightening morning light.

The kitsu known as the Dazzler padded serenely across the short grass, her clip on skates with her radio inside her purse. On her back was an instrument case, half hidden by her long blonde hair. Finding a suitable spot Alison Blaire stopped & smiled into the sunrise. From her case she pulled out a golden lyre. It was one of her few prized possessions, given to her in Asgard by Odin the All-Father.

She ran a paw lovingly across the strings, a soft sad smile playing across her face. Then, turning her face to feel the warmth of the rising sun Dazzler began to sing.

"A little girl, on a sunlit lawn
Dreams of a day, when she will be grown.
She dreams her daddy & mom
will always be there...
Long as they are, she hasn't a care.

But she grows up --all too soon--
She grows up & the light of the moon tells her
Things aren't ... going to be...
The way they are in poetry
And all she's left with... are a Little Girl's Dreams.

A Little Girl's Dreams
She'd love to go back.
For a day, an hour,
Even for a minute.
But life's too fast
And Love's too hard...
And all she's left with...
--all I'm left with--
Are a Little Girl's Dreams...

A blue and white angelic male drifted on the strength of the cool morning breeze, following the heavenly thread of song. The sailor knew he did not have to be an appreciator of music to know that the voice was more than good, though he was. He fluttered near the beautiful songstress as the last notes of her song faded away. Only then did he advance, bowing deeply mid-air. "Now that was the prettiest bit of music these ears have heard in a long time, lass."

Dazzler started, not realizing she had an audience. Quickly but carefully she stowed her lyre away, giving herself a moment to speak calmly. "Thanks." She turned to look at the speaker, brow arching as she took in the sight of blue feathery wings & even... a halo? Oh God, not another Angel... "I thought I was alone." She admitted, keeping her thoughts to herself.

AearHwesta smiled disarmingly at the pretty female, imaging things best left unsaid about her silver body suit & the fun of batting at the miniature disco-ball hanging from her neck. "Yer singing called me as sure as any Siren's song on the sea. I was helpless to resist it's lure."

Although the praise felt good, his words set off warning flags all over. Still she blushed faintly & smiled easily as she graciously accepted the male's complement. "Thank you, though I hope I never drive anyone to their deaths."

"If they were to get sight of you in addition to yer voice, I have no doubt all would go happily & willingly to their ends."

Dazzler tossed her hair back with a light laugh. "Now you are pushing believability."

The nautical angel back-winged in a playful display of being affronted, his paw going to his heart. "Ne'er would I exaggerate such a truth." Aear proclaimed. Then with a grin he bowed again, more flamboyantly than before. Alison refrained from rolling her eyes. The singer was not unaccustomed to the advances of males such as this one. Although she did have to admit that like the playboy, Angel, this blue & white angelic kitsu was one of the more eloquent suitors. "But I regress, lovely lass. I am AearHwesta. Might I have the honor of yer name."

She smiled willing to go on with this pleasant game for the time being. Besides, she loved meeting new faces. "You my call me Dazzler, AearHwesta. Pleasure meeting you."

Swooping down, Aear caught up her paw up in his own. His russet eyes twinkled up at her, loving how her baby blues sparkled in the morning sun. "The pleasure, Dazzler-lass, is all mine." With practiced grace he brushed his lips to her paw, pleased to see the slight blush that colored the female's cheeks beneath the blue of her butterfly mask.

She would have to be much colder than she was to not be a little moved by the sailor's way of courting. Good thing she was wise to his ways. With a smile she gently pulled her paw away. "So... what do you do with yourself when not following a siren's call?"

((Still open to all. They're just outside somewhere.))
"Why, I sail the high seas!" AearHwesta winkled bawdily at her, playful laughter in his russet eyes. "And I ease the loneliness in a lovely-lass when given the chance." He purred gently, reassuringly. Dazzler shook her head with a grin, stepping back. "Not with this lady, sailor." It was funny how the angelic's forwardness was not offending her as much as she would otherwise expect. It was almost cute, & despite herself Dazzler found herself thinking that their colorings would certainly look great together. She shook her head, casting the thought from her. No. This rogue was not one to settle, that was clear by his body language & speech. "I'm not looking for a duet right now." Looking disappointed, the male backed off. "As ye wish, Dazzler-lass."

"Only if you'll come lay with me." He didn't bother correcting the innuendo. Something in him told him he should, but he was a demon after all, wasn't he? He could do whatever he liked, and not worry about his conscience getting in the way. And he liked it that way, damn it. Aziraphale was not rubbing off on him. In fact, the only way Azriaphale was going to be rubbing on him at all would be if-. Er, no. Even demons had some limits.

(... You guys talk, waaay too much. XDD *has school and everything keeping her from posting in this often*)

Aziraphale eyed Crowley rather warily when he heard that specific wording, but opted to maintain an innocent mind, nodding once. "I'll do that, I suppose," he replied, getting to his feet and carefully picking the book up in his muzzle so he could search out a particularly nice portion of sunlight, immediately looking to Crowley for some sort of approval. After it, was the demon who had wanted to lay there first, and it was only fair to ask him if he would be comfortable... right?

Crowley blinked sleepy snake eyes behind his dark glasses and nodded. "Good spot." Flopping down next to the angel, he settled in for a long nap with good company. Crowley adored sleeping. He had, after all, slept through the entire ninteenth century. Waking up once to go the bathroom of course, but he could hardly be blamed for that. "Gonna nap with me, 'Ziraphale?" he asked, his voice s lurring on the 'z', so that it came out almost like a hiss. "Even bookworms and angels need rest, y'know."

Haruhi stood there in confusion, turning her head back and forth as she listened to Syaoran-kun and Fai-san's conversation. She didn't quite understand all this talk of magic and feathers, as she didn't believe in magic in the first place. Either way, it sounded important, and it seemed like they could use a paw or two.

"Did you guys lose something important to you?" She asked with slight concern, "I wouldn't mind helping you to look for it, after all it seems we'll be spending quite some time here," she smiled.

"You could say that. We got sepertated from our friends. We are also looking for Princess Sakura's Feather's." He smiled glad to know that Haruhi was really nice.

Aziraphale peered at Crowley for a moment, blinking several times as though stunned that he had been asked to sleep when he had so grand a book available to be read. "Perhaps in a bit, Crowley," he replied kindly, nudging gently at those sunglasses and lightly licking the demon's cheek, before settling in beside him and flipping the book open to begin reading once more.

The demon gazed at Aziraphale in surprise, his yellow eyes wide and intent upon the bookworm. Rubbing a paw at the damp spot on his cheek, he smiled a little and shook his head. "You're certainly an odd one, Aziraphale. Perhaps ol' Agnes is rubbing off on you, since you're so interested in that silly book?"

The angel sniffed delicately, flicking his ears back a bit and giving Crowley a knowing look, sighing quietly as though the demon simply couldn't understand and he felt sorry for him. "I merely enjoy what I read, Crowley. Weren't you intending to nap?" he asked simply, flicking an ear up and idly trailing his tails over the demon's.

((*sheepish* Theron & Gaia are my only life. Though I really should want to try for more. *hugs* We still love you, Alch!

*giggles* I love RPing Dazz with Aear, even if it doesn't count towards the contest.))

Dazzler raised a brow. Was it really that simple? But the angelic had sat down & was just looking at her with a soft smile looking in no way like he was about to make a move. I could wish more males were as easily dissuaded.

It was not so much that Aear had given up on the songstress, so much as his thoughts were not fully on the chase as it were. "Would ye sing something lass?" The Dazzler smiled. This was right up her alley. "You got a request?" "I mostly stick to sea chanties myself, but yer voice'd be wasted on the likes o' them. Sing what ye will, but please, sing." There was a soft entreaty to the male's voice and since his request matched so well with what she herself wanted to do Ali smiled & popped into a soul-felt rendition of a song possibly picked with leanings to AearHwesta's love of the sea mixed with the warmth of the rising sun.
When the moon is in the Seventh House
and Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius! Aquarius!

When the moon is in the Seventh House
and Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!

As our hearts go beating through the night
We dance unto the dawn of day
To be the bearers of the water
Our light will lead the way

We are the spirit of the age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
Angelic illumination
Rising fiery constellation
Traveling our starry courses
Guided by the cosmic forces
Oh, care for us; Aquarius

As she sang she danced and as she danced a small shimmer of light bubbles cascaded around her as she transmuted the other sounds of the morning.

Crowley refused to let himself be effected by the touch of the demon. He simply refused. There were pleasures, and then there were... pleasures that were more than pleasures. And he didn't have any room for stuff that actually meant something. He'd nearly been tortured for eternity because he actually cared about what happened to the world. He wasn't going to go there again. "I was, but bothering you is way more fun."

"As fun as it may be to you, it's hardly as such to me, given I wish to continue my reading. Why don't you at least nap, then I'll wake you when I finish for the day and you can pester me then," offered Aziraphale in truce, wishing he could see the other's eyes behind those glasses, getting a feeling with how long it took the demon to respond that there was something big going on in his mind.

Ichijo after a little while had lost sight of the angelic kitsu he was talking to. He had waited a few days before coming back. Ichijo thought it might be a good idea if he were to look around with himself. It would help him get familiar with his surroundings.

Ichijo as he walked around and notice the area was empty. He sniffed the air. No one. He then sighed a bit. He hated being alone sometimes. Many times he wanted to be alone because of his body he's had since birth. But now that it was soo close to the holidays he thought that it would be good to have some company around.

Crowley flopped down then, his tails carelessly twining with Aziraphale's. It seemed so natural to do so that he barely even noticed the contact, until a low pool of heat began to form in his belly. He quickly broke the contact, and placed his head upon his paws, his glasses slipping down a little bit even as he slipped into sleep. "Sure thing, Az, sure thing."

After a few moments, Crowley stirred, and his tails brushed against Aziraphale's again, a soft sigh escpaing him. "Do you ever think about what would have happened if we hadn't stopped the Apocolypse? We'd be fighting each other right now, rather than sharing a patch of sunlight, y'know?" It was typical for Crowley to be so gloomy, but nearly dying- or getting as close to dying as a demon could get- really put things in perspective for you.

"Oh, I see." Haruhi stood there in thought for a short while, the way he addressed Sakura-san's name was different. Princess? She thought to herself. She must be very important to Syaoran-kun, then. At that thought, Haruhi quietly smiled to herself, imagining what type of person she just might be. From the short time Syaoran-kun and her spent together since their first meeting, the young girl had an educated guess as to how Sakura-san was like.

With a charming smile, she asked, "I imagine that Sakura-san is safe, with your other friends. Do you need any help searching for her feathers? Syaoran-kun? Fai-san?"
