Rainberries
It was a clear, beautiful morning. The mists of morning lingered over the grass, lightly covered with the thinnest layer of white. A crisp, cool morning breeze fluttered through the nearby trees, swaying their empty branches in the brightening morning light.
The kitsu known as the Dazzler padded serenely across the short grass, her clip on skates with her radio inside her purse. On her back was an instrument case, half hidden by her long blonde hair. Finding a suitable spot Alison Blaire stopped & smiled into the sunrise. From her case she pulled out a golden lyre. It was one of her few prized possessions, given to her in Asgard by Odin the All-Father.
She ran a paw lovingly across the strings, a soft sad smile playing across her face. Then, turning her face to feel the warmth of the rising sun Dazzler began to sing.
A blue and white angelic male drifted on the strength of the cool morning breeze, following the heavenly thread of song. The sailor knew he did not have to be an appreciator of music to know that the voice was more than good, though he was. He fluttered near the beautiful songstress as the last notes of her song faded away. Only then did he advance, bowing deeply mid-air. "Now that was the prettiest bit of music these ears have heard in a long time, lass."
Dazzler started, not realizing she had an audience. Quickly but carefully she stowed her lyre away, giving herself a moment to speak calmly. "Thanks." She turned to look at the speaker, brow arching as she took in the sight of blue feathery wings & even... a halo? Oh God, not another Angel... "I thought I was alone." She admitted, keeping her thoughts to herself.
AearHwesta smiled disarmingly at the pretty female, imaging things best left unsaid about her silver body suit & the fun of batting at the miniature disco-ball hanging from her neck. "Yer singing called me as sure as any Siren's song on the sea. I was helpless to resist it's lure."
Although the praise felt good, his words set off warning flags all over. Still she blushed faintly & smiled easily as she graciously accepted the male's complement. "Thank you, though I hope I never drive anyone to their deaths."
"If they were to get sight of you in addition to yer voice, I have no doubt all would go happily & willingly to their ends."
Dazzler tossed her hair back with a light laugh. "Now you are pushing believability."
The nautical angel back-winged in a playful display of being affronted, his paw going to his heart. "Ne'er would I exaggerate such a truth." Aear proclaimed. Then with a grin he bowed again, more flamboyantly than before. Alison refrained from rolling her eyes. The singer was not unaccustomed to the advances of males such as this one. Although she did have to admit that like the playboy, Angel, this blue & white angelic kitsu was one of the more eloquent suitors. "But I regress, lovely lass. I am AearHwesta. Might I have the honor of yer name."
She smiled willing to go on with this pleasant game for the time being. Besides, she loved meeting new faces. "You my call me Dazzler, AearHwesta. Pleasure meeting you."
Swooping down, Aear caught up her paw up in his own. His russet eyes twinkled up at her, loving how her baby blues sparkled in the morning sun. "The pleasure, Dazzler-lass, is all mine." With practiced grace he brushed his lips to her paw, pleased to see the slight blush that colored the female's cheeks beneath the blue of her butterfly mask.
She would have to be much colder than she was to not be a little moved by the sailor's way of courting. Good thing she was wise to his ways. With a smile she gently pulled her paw away. "So... what do you do with yourself when not following a siren's call?"

"A little girl, on a sunlit lawn
Dreams of a day, when she will be grown.
She dreams her daddy & mom
will always be there...
Long as they are, she hasn't a care.
But she grows up --all too soon--
She grows up & the light of the moon tells her
Things aren't ... going to be...
The way they are in poetry
And all she's left with... are a Little Girl's Dreams.
A Little Girl's Dreams
She'd love to go back.
For a day, an hour,
Even for a minute.
But life's too fast
And Love's too hard...
And all she's left with...
--all I'm left with--
Are a Little Girl's Dreams...

((Still open to all. They're just outside somewhere.))
"Why, I sail the high seas!" AearHwesta winkled bawdily at her, playful laughter in his russet eyes. "And I ease the loneliness in a lovely-lass when given the chance." He purred gently, reassuringly. Dazzler shook her head with a grin, stepping back. "Not with this lady, sailor." It was funny how the angelic's forwardness was not offending her as much as she would otherwise expect. It was almost cute, & despite herself Dazzler found herself thinking that their colorings would certainly look great together. She shook her head, casting the thought from her. No. This rogue was not one to settle, that was clear by his body language & speech. "I'm not looking for a duet right now." Looking disappointed, the male backed off. "As ye wish, Dazzler-lass."
