arrow Aozora Fields; Village

Tsai looked at Kaosu, he didn't seem to be doing too well, this battle was too much for them, Tsai quickly ran past Two-faced and went to Kaosu and helped him up, he sheathed his zampakuto.

The decision now was to flee and leave the village and Mai and come back later, or fight until they were dead. Tsai wouldn't take the chance to throw his life away. "We got to make a run for it," he whispered into Kaosu's ear. "We'll come back for Mai as soon as we get rested or get some help," he continued. "Zaviel-kun and Kinzo-kun, they could help probably," he said as he pulled Kaosu. Tsai was slightly bleeding from the attack. "Let's just hope Mai is alright,"

He grabbed Kaosu and began running. Two-faced watched and moved, he wanted to catch up and eat Tsai and Kaosu. Tsai ran as fast as he could he dropped his bag of supplies and just ran.

Then, just as soon as he had been there before, again Kaosu entered the burning fields of his mind. The crackling wasn't as loud as before. There in front of him, robe flapping in the smoke-filled wind, was the man of his sword.

"Good job, Kaosu. You felled one hollow." He said almost sarcastically. Kaosu felt an uncomfortable...'vibe' coming from the man. "But the other knocked you around like a defenseless puppet."

Kaosu defended himself. "I haven't slept in forever! I was over-fatigued and weak by the time the second one came around." But then the man yelled, "No excuses! You always have rule over your body! You should have just pushed harder!"

arrow Aozora Mountains

Mai tended her wound, the villagers gave some cloth to her. The Aozora mountains were quite cold, but Mai usually trained here. She looked at the villagers many seemed to not trust Mai whatsoever. She walked around to keep herself warm, below the mountains she could hear hollow roars and moans. She did not know what it was.

The clashing on blade against flesh stopped a few minutes ago, something must have happened but Mai could not desert these villagers. She waited for help.

"This isn't your body!" Kaosu yelled back. "You don't know it's limits!" Kaosu walked right up into the face of the man, but Kaosu couldn't smell anything. No sweat, no scents of origin. Nothing to place him anywhere. "You can't tell me how far I can go."

The man seemed calm, but still annoyed. "But dear master, I can. You could have gone all the way until death and still pulled it out. You just chose not to. This world is all about limits, you just have to push them until they crack."

Kaosu still didn't listen. "I could have died back there, and you with me!" He retorted. Rage flooded his mind and face as he spat while he yelled at the man.

"But you didn't. You wouldn't have. That boy Tsai would have saved you, and did save you. If there would have been any mortal danger, I would have rescued myself." Kaosu knew he was right, but was in no condition to admit it. Then, he turned and sat on an adjacent rock.

"When I wake up, the situation will still be the same. The same hollow will be romping around, and my wounds will remain." He sighed. "And I will be able to do nothing."

"Not true." The man replied. He tossed him just an ordinary sword, not anything close to his zanpaku-to, and said, "With a weapon, Kaosu, you can be a greater foe. Just create an offense that seconds as defence. That is your key. Now, defeat it!"

And with that, Kaosu awoke, bandages and splints lying beside him.

Kinzo had been in the vicinity as the hell butterfly flew over head and it's message ran through his head. "Kaosu! He is in my zanjutsu class! I've got to help!" Kinzo couldn't yet shunpo, so he ran as fast as he could, sensing the reiatsu only faintly, leaving enough of a trace for Kinzo to follow the familiarity.

He neared the cave and ran in, his zanpakutou making little sound, hanging on his lower back. He seemed to have run in just as Tsai had ran out. He spotted Kaosu lying down, seemingly sleeping. "Kaosu-san!!!" Kinzo ran up to him and knelt down, in front of the rambling Zaviel. He turned around at Zaviel. "Calm down! We're here to help with something, we just don't know what yet. He looks pretty bad. Was... Did a hollow do this???" Kinzo placed his full concentration on Kaosu, ignoring his babbling class mate.

arrow Aozora Mountains

Mai looked down, she heard a roar again, the hollows were probably feasting, someone was still down there, Mai was injured but she went down to investigate. She told the villagers as she went down quickly.

arrow Village

Two-faced picked up a single human and ate it, the dog hollows which followed him were sniffing around for more humans.
