She came to the opposing side of the arena, smiling faintly. "Very well, I'll take you on," Candice nodded, easily spotting that Chloe wasn't too comfortable on the ice. Whether she had seen Chloe's floundering trying to get to the arena... Chloe didn't want to imagine that. "Uh... aren't you cold?" Chloe had to question, as Candice summoned her first Pokemon, Snover, to the arena. "No... why?" Came the resulting question from Candice, to which Chloe could only gawk. The girl was wearing shorts and short sleeves. In Snowpoint. Sometimes she really questioned the sanity of Sinnoh gym leaders. Ah well, Chloe settled down and started the battle, hoping that she had trained enough to accomplish this. Taking on an ice master with a bunch of dragons seemed only slightly suicidal to her... "Now, be warned, this'll be a tough fight, but don't worry, we can win this, kay?" she told the dragon, who seemed more interested in fighting than listening to her words at the moment, so she motioned him forward.
Mikami flit forward, prepared for battle.

"Alright, Mika, start off with Fire Blast!" Chloe called to the Flygon, who offered a grin, before inhaling. An intense burst of flame spewed forth a moment later as the Flygon struck, diving at the Snover.

"Snover! Use Blizzard!" Candace instructed her partner, who nodded, as the last of the flames died down, the small Pokemon struck back as an icy wind filled the arena, swirling ice in a miniature tornado before the blast shrunk inward, surrounding Mikami with ice.

Chloe winced, knowing that the ice would hurt, however, Mikami still had plenty of strength left to finish off the Snover.
"You okay?" she asked, as Mikami landed, shaking his tail to fling off a few stray icicles that still clung to his scales. Mikami grumbled his distaste for the stuff, but nodded to Chloe, brightening as he noticed his trainer. He grinned, before leaping into the air once more, wings vibrating with his fast wingbeats.
"Kay, now finish this one off with another Fire Blast!" Chloe instructed to Mikami, who was happy to comply, sending a spiral of flame outwards this time, to help warm himself up in the process. He spun the fire at the Snover, effectively putting it out of commission for the rest of the match.

"Kay, this one'll be tough," Chloe muttered, sizing up the giant ice type.
"Mika, fall back!" she called. She knew that even though Mikami could still fight, he definitely couldn't take on another Blizzard.
"Kaz, I'm gonna go with you on this one!" Chloe called, summoning her Charizard. Kaze grinned, spotting his opponent. He could tell it was strong.

Kaze roared, charging at the Abomasnow, flames licked from his tail, eventually engulfing the entire Charizard in a circle of flame as he exhaled a burst of fire that licked at the Abomasnow, weakening it dramatically.

"Abomasnow, use Sheer Cold!" Candice demanded of her partner. Chloe could only watch as the snow master whipped up a dreadful blizzard, casing the entire arena in ice. Kaze was frozen solid, crashing to the floor in a tomb of ice.
"KAZ!" Chloe called, terrified for her friend. The Abomasnow returned to Candice's side, smirking slightly.
However, a moment later, a crack formed in the ice encasing Kaze. Chloe watched, as Kaze broke free, using his fire-tipped tail to gain a hold of the ice holding him prisoner. Turned out Kaze didn't like being a popsicle too much...
Kaze finally broke entirely free, growling at the Abomasnow as he rose from the arena floor. Chloe broke out into a grin. Looked like the Sheer Cold hadn't worked.
Chloe sighed in relief, looking to the Charizard, who cast her a nod with a smirk in return, "Alright, let's finish him off, Flare Blitz!" Chloe called to Kaze, who dove from the air above the Abomasnow, fires blazing brightly once more.
The snow beast didn't stand a chance.

The wild Noctowl countered with a peck attack and caused Hizashi to finish it with Last resort. "Dai, you're my choice for this fight," Chloe called with a smile, summoning the Kingdra before her. Daimon emerged, facing off against the Medicham, prepared to defend Chloe.
"Alright, let's give this ice master a taste of her own medicine, use Blizzard!" Chloe called, as Daimon nodded his confirmation that he understood, spewing out a burst of water. With a thought, the flying water froze solid mid-air, striking the Medicham in a blast of ice and snow.

"Medicham, use Hi Jump Kick!" Candice countered, as the fighting psychic leaped at Daimon, lashing out with its feet as it struck Daimon hard. The Kingdra shook off the effects from the kick as Chloe called out her next orders.
"Hydro Pump!" she commanded, as Daimon lashed right back at the Medicham, with a torrent of water that buffeted the fighter.

"Hang in there, Medicham!" Candice instructed, as her partner broke free from Dai's Hydro Pump, "Use Ice Punch!" she commanded, as the Medicham dove back in, striking at Daimon with its fists first this time, hands encased in an icy energy.
"You're doing awesome, Dai, use another Blizzard!" Chloe requested of her Kingdra, who nodded, before taking the energy from the Medicham's punch, and sending it back double.

Entreri emerged, looking to the opponent's Sneasel for a moment, before snorting with a smirk.

"Kay, 'Treri, you should know what to do!" Chloe grinned, as Entreri dove froward, claws first, smirk present as always.
"Focus Blast!" Chloe called, as Entreri leaped into the air, homing in on the Sneasel, as he fired a blast of energy at the opponent.

"Sneasel, use Metal Claw!" Candice countered, frowning slightly. It was clear Entreri was on a lower level than her Sneasel, but he seemed more than capable of taking out her Pokemon.
The Sneasel darted forward, putting its own claws to good use as it slashed at Entreri, claws glowing with a metallic light. Entreri took the hit, aligning himself for the next blow.

"Alright, start off with another Focus Blast. This'll be your best bet to get that Glaceon beat," Chloe said to her partner. Entreri nodded, he already knew that. Rolling his eyes, he leaped forward, blasting the Glaceon, sending shards of ice flying upon impact.

"Glaceon! Use Last Resort!" Candice called to her partner. The Glaceon growled, charging at Entreri with speed that rivaled the Weavile's lashing out frantically at her opponent. She landed more than a few blows, Entreri finally disengaging the desperate Glaceon.

"Keep at it, Entreri, I know you can do it!" Chloe called, as Entreri dove at the Glaceon once more, sending another Focus Blast her way.

"Last Resort once more!" Candice called, knowing that was her best bet of landing damage on the Weavile.

Entreri skid to a halt, panting. It was clear he was tired, but Chloe knew he could last the rest of the fight.
"Care to end this?" she called to Entreri, who grinned, summoning up one last Focus Blast that put the Glaceon out of the fight.

Candice recalled her fallen partner with a curt nod. "Very well, I've definitely warmed up to you, you've earned my respect, even though you apparently don't like the snow and ice too much. I'm tough because I know how to focus, but its clear your focus in battle is definitely up to par with me," she laughed, "You've earned these!" she offered, handing over the emblem of her gym, as well as a TM. "That's Avalanche," she explained with a nod, "Its sure to pack a punch!" Chloe has earned the Icicle Badge!

Chloe smiled, taking the offered badge and TM with a nod, "Thanks a lot. I have to say, that was a challenging battle," she admitted with a grin, "I had fun, though. Except that part you tried to turn Kaze into an ice sculpture, we didn't like that move too much..." she admitted.
Clipping her new badge in with her others, Chloe smiled faintly. There was only a few more left for her to collect!
Chloe saw Julian run up as she smiled, "Yeah, I'm freezing!" she griped, although it was good-naturedly. She was quite ready to get back to the Pokecenter to warm up a bit.
