~Why do you look like you've been flash-fried?~
Reeve and Seph had caught up. She smiled tiredly at them.
"Back to the dojo...the fastest way you know how to get there."

Reeve nods and starts to hover over the ground, gaining altitude. Chakra is a good thing. He starts to fly along the treeline back to the dojo, held up by a cushion of chakra.

Seph didn't physically respond, but it was taken that he understood when he disappeared..

Nyl laughed quietly to herself. ~Don't worry, I fly much more smoothly than I run.~ She opened her wings and shifted Neko so he was on her back - he was too heavy to carry any other way without risking dropping him, and since the wings were chakra-based he wouldn't interfere with them. ~Hold on, if you can. If not, don't worry about it. I promise not to drop you.~
She took off after Reeve, a bit farther above the treeline than him.

Nyl stopped a short distance from the place where she usually entered the city, waiting for Neko to catch up. She could see some of the people watching her, wondering why she'd stopped.
She grinned to herself.

-=Neko carefully waded his way through the bushes, trying to fight off the horrible feeling that was washing over him as he looked at the city. He smiled weakly as he saw the people rush up towards Nyl, as he stepped next to her=-
...Thank you, Nyl...

She laughed quietly. "Don't thank me just yet. You get to spend the day helping them rebuild." She grinned at him. "As such, I'll be much less physically exhausted when I get back, but you'll probably beat me home."
~And no chakra to help you, either. It frightens them. I think you can understand that.~
She motioned in the direction of the ruined parts of the city. "Hop to it, then. I have other work to do." She put one hand on the shoulder of a boy who had come to stand next to her. "He'll help you." She looked at the boy. "This is Neko. He's a friend of mine. Don't let him slack off."
The boy grinned at her, and she smiled back.
~Enjoy yourself, Neko.~ Nyl nodded to him, walking off in a different direction.
((Back...um. Eleven-ish. Yay.))

-=The boy grabbed onto Neko's finger and pulled him into the city. There was plenty of life around, and construction happening everywhere. He got a few strange looks from the townspeople, but was otherwise wholly accepted into the community. After hours of preparing building materials and helping rebuild some of the shops, Neko was fairly worn out, and pretty dirty. He had dinner at a family's house, spent some time playing with the kids, and made his way home right as the sun started to set=-

She'd only made it as far as Durem after leaving the dojo. About that time, she bega to realize that even though this time she hadn't made the mistake of trying to leave at night, she had made the mistake of trying to travel during the winter.
She also began to wonder where she should head anyways. She couldn't very well go home after how long she'd been gone. Her parents would wonder where she'd been, and she couldn't think of any good answer. And the truth would be worse than some crazy lie.
So she'd stayed in Durem. There was plenty of work to be done there, so she was able to help out enough to earn her stay there for a few nights, but she really felt that she needed to be figuring out what to do, or at the very leaast where to go.

Nami felt an innate satisfaction and relief when her feet hit the ground noislessly. She felt a bit dizzy after the high-paced trek...almost something akin to motion sickness. But now that they'd come to land on the outskirts of Durem, a renewed vigor seemed to invade her tired body. Eli. She wanted to find Eli.
The re-construction was going well...half of the buildings were back up and looked as though nothing all had happened. This was the half of the city that she and Seph seemed to land near. The other half was only visible in as a far off jungle of scaffolding and frames.

Seph stepped into a clearing, looking out over Durem. He frowned just slightly, but the sensation passed, and his face was back to a soft, light smile. It appeared that the reconstruction was going well enough. "You're pure-blood, so you have a stronger Byakougan, right? Mind searching around for the Eli's signature?"

"Yeah...no problem." Nami replied and mumbled the word under her breath. She'd let the bloodline drop once she realized they were heading to Durem but once more, the veins rose about her eyes and she scanned the area.
" I can cover two miles and I don't see anything...we'll have to go a bit deeper in." She said after a moment, the gray figures of workers and civilians mingling, no tenketsu or bright signatures flitting across her field of vision.
She began a slow walk into the half-built town itself.
