A corner of Erol's mouth turns up in a grin.
"You just sound as principled as him sometimes. At least as goal oriented. I am just looking to study, plans are always just a stratagy really. They always seem to be in book at the very least. Our tales are not yet over."
Erol heads down stairs, but turns back momentaroly commenting.
"I'll be out for the morning hunt. See you outside."
Erol heads outside so that Ebon might get proper hunting in.

Ebon takes flight, soaring in search of prey. He hunts about the square for a morning snack.
Erol leans against the building, pulling out his sketchbook and beginning to draw the plan he brainstormed. If life could feed other life, so life made new life. Energy, when drawn from a source, sustained life and formed the next generation. Thus if life is taken, maybie some plants and insects, and you give it some energy, true energy, then a result must occur. Erol scribbles furiously astride the doorframe, looking up as the bard arrives outside. Erol glances up again to make sure the hawk is not disembowling his prey nearby again. He heard that those out of nature tended to dislike disembowling, something about mortality.
"Hello again."
He still scribbles in his notebook with the twig in seed-ink.

"Just another idea. You wouldn't happen to have a cabbage or a large plant on you, would you?"
He scribbles down a second idea, to perhapse instill it while lifelike. A frog's form seemed easy enough. Just limbs and a torso.
((DM, can make a choice on whether the spell beget bogun from Complete Divine is allowed. Allowed to use by those other rules though, at DM's discretion.))

"Not quite. I count on the cabbage, and other peices, to be soon though."
He scribbles a bit harder, modling some of it off the creatures he saw last night. He mumbles a bit.
"A few sentient bits... intelligence... mud... butterfly... not ardvark..."

Erol begins to write a list of peices that he would need for such a creation, occasionally looking to the woods for the chance of finding peices.

"The woods offered me more shelter than the city. They seemed to attack the city folk more than the woods. And anything in addition for combat might prove useful. After all, everything has a weakpoint, even if it is only another of its race."
Plunge into the woods ((taking 20 on a survival check (+5))) gathering materialsfor the bogun. ((If DM does not reject it, I'll be making it extremely soon.))

"I'm not straying far, just... ah. here is a nice butterfly... well, the paladin fellow is not out. Thought I'd do something interesting in the time. Never have to wait much when you are by yourself really."
Erol brings it back to the barrel he sat on and diplays his set of finds. Among the most notable inclusions are a butterfly (dead), a mole (also dead), and a few flowers as common as danelions (now dead when they run out of water). He begins making a mass of these objects, attempting a frog/shadowcreature look, extending the front legs with extra twigs for support. He tries for more frog than shadowcreature.
((Accuracy roll, no skill, just luck. Making plant creations/abominations isn't even a proffession...))
