Lupis was about to go chase after Luna, but decided perhaps she needs more time alone. Going to Kurtis she said "Religious men? Perhaps Alexander was religious? That would explain her sudden hostility...what do you think?" she asked, turning towards the man. Her eyes were a deep greeen. "Whatever happened to her, she has it locked away. I can pnly hope that one day someone can open those locks for her." Her eyes were now a sad blue green.

"Of course." She said. Lupis has been called many things but untrustworthy was not one of them. She knew how to keep secrets in a world where a loose mouth could mean death or worse. Sitting down besides Kurtis she looked at him with bright, inquisitive slanted wolf eyes. "Please tell me." Her eyes were a gray the color of a stone wall. She knew how serous this was.

Lupis closed her eyes painfully. "That is....horrible....I mean i have seen such things in my life, I used to be a slave you know" She showed him a small branding on her thigh. "But...that such a man can hold such malice...such evil.....he deserves ti be strung up and killed.." Her eyes were a dangerous deep crimson the color of red wine.

Lupis nodded "When your a slave your less than dirt. The masters can beat and rape you and people look the other way. Because in their eyes you are nothingm your are less than animals, because if someone was mistreating an animal people do something. I can understand Luna's hatred and bitterness. I killed my master though, at least i had some twisted form of liberation." Her mouth twisted into a bitter smile of someone who had lived life and had seen very little of the good side of it.

Lupis' eyes softened. "After I killed my owner I was forced to flee my town. People were hunting me and I don't know I just.....snapped.....I turned totally feral, my changeling nature took over me. Soon enough I was on the streets sleeping with the dogs and fighting them for scraps. Gangs liked me, 'cause I could get the dogs to fight with me and i had a way with the animals. They were always fighting over me. Then my master found me, the one you remind me of. No matter how hard a bit he ne'er let go off me, it was him that took me in and made me civilized....well to a point. And I learned to reign in my power somewhat, but I flared soemtimes. We went traveling together but then...we were in this one village...in the jungle. This boy was hurt and he used his power to heal one of the boys. They mistook his powers as demons and dragged him at night and burned him alive. And they tried to get me but he used his reserves to save me, but then I really snapped. I just, turned into a wolf and never came back. No one cared, I had no parents, they abandoned me a while ago;changelings are bad luck after all......"

She was rocking back and forth, her eyes a desolate deep obsidian as she looked at something only she could see.

Lupis buried her face in Kurtis' chest and inhaled that deep scent of cologne. "he came to me, once, in a dream. He said that God wanted him back because he was one of His favorites. He said for me too be happy, but its hard sometimes, because I feel like i'm sinking in despair. I just...want to set myself free, like when I was a wolf. There is nothing as exhilerating as running across the plains as the wolf, knowing you are free and nothing can hurt you." She sighed. "And what of you? I can tell you have been through much suffering." She said, her eyes closed.

Lupis sensed there was more but she did not want to press, the warm embrace felt too good. "I'm sorry. From the way you talk about her you must have loved her so much. And your children too." She drifted off, gently falling asleep in his arms.
