Triant T'thia raised a brow as the girl departed. she had said greenS plural, meaning she ahd more then three flits, wasn't that against wyre rules? she shurgged and went back to oiling Huntu knowing Lira would keep her updated on the situation near the candidates area ((OOC: Actually, the rules say we can have four. I have one bronze, one brown, and two greens.))

Siella groaned when she saw the candidate barracks. "Sala, Sali, why do you do this to me?" She began to try to put everyone's stuff back the way it was before as the two greens crooned apologetically.

Heading towards the lower caverns, Feather suddenly found herself being assaulted by her trio of flits. "Hey, how were your naps?" The three chirped at her, sending her impressions of warm sunlight and sand. "I'm on my way to find some lunch. Want to join me?" They chirped again, and in moments Ivy and Scout had claimed her shoulders, leaving Ace to accept an extended forearm.

Appearing over the Weyr, Faith circled down to the bowl and backwinged neatly as she settled to the ground not far from the kitchens cavern. "Thanks Faith. I'm going to grab a bite to eat. What about you?"
I would like to rest in the sun, the dragon replied. It should be warm by the lake. Blinking at her rider, the queen moved off. Ava stood there watching her gliding over to the lake sands, then turned to enter the cavern after assuring herself that the queen was safe.

Triant while T'thia oiled Lira Huntu decided to go off and bother T'orn until his turn came. Oneth chirped and popped out of the lower caverns as well and came out above A'nash's head. the bronze flit chirped in surprised happiness and circled down sending A'nash a flow of images of the day T'thia first met A'nash way before she even impressed. Oneth sent images of the girl standing with aonther rider at the time, her flits perched on her shoulders and A'nash standing next to her greeting her to the wyre as one of the new candidates. Oneth chirped in excitment and did a few flips at the return of the wyreleader that had been gone for so long. A'nash startled a bit by al the images that were in his head all of a sudden, almost fell of the rock he was sitting on. He could just balance himself in time. He looked around to see who was causing the images, when he saw Oneth he started to laugh. "Hey little fellow, how have you been"

Sighing again, Niko walked back into her weyr, smiling at Gyomanth as he lazily stood up, carefully avoiding hitting the ceiling with his head. Can we go down to the lake now? I want to bathe and clean the dirt off of me.
Laughing, she slaps his haunch playfully. Of course, you dirty lizard, let's go wash what little dirt there is on you off! It's not like there is that much, considering that you havn't gone out a whole lot for awhile...
Snorting indignantly, Gyo trotted out of the weyr, walking carefully down the slope towards the lake, flicking his tail at his rider to follow him.

Siella sighed with relief as she finished cleaning up the mess. No-one had showed up, so she considered herself lucky. Glancing at the two greens, she said, "I'm going to go find somebody who knows how to discourage your pranks. And you're going to come with me, so I can keep an eye on you two." Sala & Sali's eyes swirled faster for a moment, then they flew over and perched on Siella's shoulders. Siella left the barracks to find someone who had a green firelizard.

R'nek sighed, dropping the peices of leather. He'd reworked them about six times, and they never seemed to fit together quite right. After a breif pause, he smiled. He picked them up again, renewing his efforts.
~
At the end of the lesson, he tucked the peices off to the side with a grin. He'd figured it out ^^.
((erhm... had no idea how to RP it, so... yeah...))

Rayinte "More than its share? We get what they send. And to be frank, they haven't been sending enough lately. We get the herdbeasts, which is good or the dragons would have been complaining, and we get scarcely enough fruits and vegetables... but the small details, like herbs and spices, they're suffering." Beridai nods slowly, "This is true, but there has been a small famine lately...it could help if we hunt the dragons more often...and gathering herbs and fruits could be a job for the weyrlings..." She sighs softly, "I'm not quite sure what to do."

Ray wrinkles her nose. "Well, if they want to stop losing fields to Thread burrows, they should send out more ground crews; even flying under ideal conditions with a fully populated Weyr, there's always the stray Thread that slips through. As for the weather? They have irrigation ditches, the rivers haven't run dry yet, and most Holds have more than enough people to haul water."
She pauses, a troubled expression crossing her face, "It doesn't help that for some reason, the Queens just aren't producing the clutches they should be; a dozen eggs from Wrath, shards, Fort's senior Queen laid eight in her most recent clutch. Eight!" she repeats herself, shaking her head. "A clutch of eight during a Pass is unheard of! If both happened at the same Weyr, I'd fear water contamination!"
Stopping herself from continuing her tirade, Ray turns her mind to possible solutions beyond complaining about the Holders.
"There are plenty of wild herds in Keroon; the tame ones always have at least dogs with them, usually people. Also, there are flocks of wild wherries along the coast toward Nerat. The older weyrlings, I'll be training them to recognize the Red Butte in the next few days, they can hunt their dragons around there once I'm sure they've memorized the location. The younger weyrlings and dragons of injured riders shouldn't deplete the Weyr's herds too much, and we can send riders out to capture live animals for the Weyr herds."
She sighs. "The green and blue riders could probably ferry the women from the Lower Cavern to places with wild fruit and melons, heck, the Weyrlings can do it once they've mastered between, and that shouldn't be much longer. Shells but it stings the pride that we have to resort to these measures to keep food on the table."

Oneth hovered in front of A'nash chirping at him happily and sent images of T'thia and Arizath throughout the past months during their lessons. Arizath had grown to be a fine strong and large bronze and T'thia had gained all the confidence of an experienced rider. he sent warm images of him and his siblings warming themselves in the sun with full bellies and even a few interesting pictures of T'thia caught in awkward moments during lessons. his favorite image he sent with pride was of T'thia excourting the new wyrelings off of the sands just after impression and of her helping with the early lessons.

Striding into the lower caverns, L'del felt like he was ten feet tall. They had actually gone between! He hoped they would be able to fight during the next Threadfall, to help wipe the menace from the skies, to be part of the action!
Another thought presented itself to him as he started to sit at one of the tables. They really could go between now-- and he knew the coordinates for his home hold like the back of his hand! Perhaps...
His stomach grumbled at him, putting an end to the thought. I'd probably have to get permission to go, anyhow, he thought as he began filling a plate with food.

A'nash smiled as Oneth sent all kind of images, A couple of times he caught himself laughing out loud. Then suddenly aware of his surroundings he looked around if no one had seen him. T'thia had become a fine dragonrider, in spite off her lack of confidence at first, because Azirath was a bronze. In the images, he saw no trace of that person anymore. She was a proud dragonrider. He smiled, he should go and visit T'thia some time soon.
