Tia's expression haunted him while he was on the top deck. After listening to the young woman cry about not being able to use her violin, he knew he was not needed on deck. "Miss, the quicker you rest your hand the faster you'll be back into playing your violin. Why don't you go below deck and pick out a cabin for yourself and store your instrument away until you can use it? If you need me to help you get it or any task you cannot do your self, then I would be happy to help you just as soon as I see to it that Tia resting, a good idea for yourself as well." Standing up, he then walked to the side of the deck and disposed of the bloody rag. He was raised to believe blood was unclean; that when it is removed you get better and to touch what is removed was to risk getting sick.

One last look of the deck, he went back below to finish taking care of Tia. As he put away the bucket, he had the initiative to get her something to drink, water of course before going to her cabin. Out of respect, he knocked before walking in, "Tia, can I do anything for you? I have water for you if you’re thirsty. Would you like something to eat or anything else?" She needed rest, he knew, and her hand should be better treated; however there was nothing he could do for the latter so he tried to make sure she could rest comfortably.

Tia's eyes shot open as there was a knock to the she had started to fall asleep. She couldnt help, but smile seeing how quickly Tracey came back.

"How did you know I was thirsty Tracey?" Tia giggled abit knowing he mostly likly just grabbed the water without much thought.
"Im sorry Tracey....Im so pathetic it was just a cut not some muskeet ball wound, but I just feel so tired though. Im really sorry I must be a big bother right now, arent you susposed to be up deck...What's going on up there?"
Tia noticed that her hands were shaking abit as she was trying to put the jar some place so she could take the water from him.
"...Tracey Ive never felt so weak. I mean the lashs I got hurt but I was always able to get back to work, but this I feel like I can barly move......."
Tia felt like she was rambling and mumbling to much, but she had to one more thing.
"Um...Tracey....back the in the stairway were you going to say you care for me, cause even if Im wrong on what you were saying I care for you too......."

"You pay no mind to him..." Victoria growled, looking quite upset by Tracey's actions. "He's obviously more concerned about his love intrest than he is with his crew," the woman hissed, bending down to stand next to Mariko, trying to cheer her up.

"Captain, shall I get her some brandy for the pain?" she asked, looking up at the large dragon man with some trepidation. He didn't look at all pleased, so perhaps this wouldn't be the best time to be growing a personal vendetta. But damn did she hate Tracey at the moment...

She was smiling, he thought, a good sign. As he approached her, he listened to what she had to say, frowning disapprovingly when she called herself pathetic. He worried greatly about her being so shaky. The last thing she said brought a very warm smile from him. He brought the cup to her and reached out to take the jar from her, as he did so he put the cup in reach, "I thought you might be thirsty, looks like my guess was correct."

Looking at her, seeking out her eyes, he states, "You have nothing to be sorry for, besides thinking so poorly about yourself. You are not pathetic; you just need to take better care of yourself." That had to be it; however he would bring his concerns to the Captain to see if there could be more to be done to ease her. "Someone hurt their wrist, thats all, she will be just fine."

"Just rest," he says as he puts his hand gently on her forehead to check for fever before removing it and says, "In the morning, you'll feel better."

Finally he says, "That is what I was saying", with another smile he adds, "I am glad to hear it, now rest, we can talk again when you are feeling better." He started to move, but wanted to be sure she was comfortable, and didn't need him to do anything else for her before she could sleep.

Samuel growled at Victoria she needed to take a step down. First slapping him when it was called for and now saying something like that when more then one person is hurt.
"That's idiotic if there is no one tending to the other person that is hurt and he goes to help her that is hardly caring for one person more than another. Look around yourself woman how many people are here to tend to Mariko?? Then can you tell me whom other than that man that just went down there is taking care of Tia, hmmm? You know your not as beautiful as you look and you need to think abit more before you open your mouth." It wasnt that Samuel cared for Tia more then Mariko it was just Victoria's words were uncalled for when there are pleanty of people to take care of Mariko that they didnt need Tracey.

Victoria got up and stared at Samuel, not looking to happy. "Yes, but he and Tia were supposed to be the ones in charge here, were they not? And as far as I can tell, neither are here. If they had been here, this might not have happened!" Thinking for a moment, she looked at him, softening her words only slightly. "Then again, not many of us were paying attention. If we had, this might not have happened. There is no one to blame, but it's still no excuse for him not being here."

" Yes perhaps he should have been here, but I dont see anyone volunteering to take his place either. And I have to say even though Tia does like me I know her. We met once before, she doesnt ask for help and she ignores her injuries to her work. I saw her just before she went down with Tracey she looked dizzy I could tell something was wrong and that cant be a good sign Tia does not show weakness I think she is the type that would keep working till she dropped dead on the deck.
Im sorry I blew up at you, but your words were uncalled for." Samuel frowned this was abit insane.
"Captain everything is alright I beleave you were busy with somethingelse Ill personaly make sure Mariko is taken care of. Im in no way no way trying to standout in this crowd I just want everything calmed down." Samuel didnt want the captain to think he was trying to move up in ranks, because he had no intrest in ranks and didnt beleave he could handle anything other than the basic jobs.

Tia took the water and sipped it abit she looked at Tracey as he spoke abit of a blush came to her cheeks.
"Are you sure cause one of us should have been watching for stuff like that....oh no the captain might be mad at you and its all my fault." Tia whinned abit if someone got hurt while he should have been watching he might get in trouble.
Tia blushed more as he touched her forehead she had a fever, but not a serious one.
"But.....I could have so much work done..." Tia sighed abit she wished nothing had happened and she could have been working above deck.
"...I wish you didnt have to go...will you vist me later?" Tia asked staring down at her cup of water.

"No," said Luther in response to Tracey, "I don't know the pipe comands, actually," he continued, "I don't even think I am sure what they are." Luther looked down at his shoes a moment, noticing that his were very dirty. Realising he had made a jesture of weakness, Luther quickly looked up. "As far as skills go, I am a great swordsman. I can manipulate my blades as if they were connected to my body. They have kept me alive most of my life, and on ocassion i have used them to end others. But only when needed." He added making sure to let Tracey know he was not a stone cold killer, mearly a survivor. "I have never met my match with a blade. Though I have not often sought a fight."
He remembered what had happend in the bar back on the island and had to smile to himself. "Well, I did say often," he continued realising his inward smile had become an outward expression of glee. "But never killed when it wasnt warrented. I always wait for the attack. Better to find a weakness quick and end the fight before the other man has a chance to catch himself after a missed strike. Of course I would be more then willing to demonstrate, mearly a spar not a death match, if you are able to find a challenger."

Mariko froze. She did not want to get anyone in trouble, much less her hero Tia...

"Errr, actually, it was kinda my fault," she said, trying to feign sheepishness and admittance. "I was trying to fly," she explained and started to dig through her pockets. "I saw the man flying up the masts, and I thought I could do it too!- AH HAH!"

With her left (and uninjured hand), Mariko drew out a leather bag full of something that sloshed around. When she took a long swig of it, it was apparent also from the smell of achohal wafting from it that it was rum. She cradled her right wrist to her breasts and offered the leather flask full of rum to anyone. "Anyone... Have a case of startled wits?" she asked. The dull throb in her broken wrist was coming back, even stronger. Probably she had made it worse. For once, the lack of working pain receptors was a blessing.

"....And do I need to see... Er... The Strugeon?" she asked.

Tracey shook his head and responded, "If he is angry at me for taking care of you, then both of us are on the wrong vessel." The captain couldn't be that cold hearted that he would view another crew member with lots of help more important then Tia whom only had him at the moment. He gathered that because no one else was down there to support her.

"No work is worth your life, beside, you'll work better when your feeling completely well." Looking back to the door, he looks back to her and answers, "I don't want to go, but I'll be back by your side as soon as I can, rest well." Turning he headed back on deck, he walked over to the group around the woman who hurt her wrist, he wanted to be sure she was well.

He was not expecting Luther to finally answer after so long, "I'll have to teach you once everything calms down. However, a sword on deck is asking for trouble right now. Your allowed to pick a cabin on the second deck for your own." He knew the man's skills were untested, if he hadn't found a match then he wasn't very good. There is always someone better, always. After he answered, he went to the group.

((I understand that in rp some characters will not like other characters and this is fine, but PLEASE do not take arguments personal and try to calm down just a bit))

Aiden turned to view Victoria as she spoke and although he listened, he quickly busied himself in an attempt to aid Mariko to the best of his ability. Kneeling down beside her, the man inspected her and made certain she was not bleeding. It seemed no sooner than the man was able to inspect her, however, the woman began to scream about a violin. With wide eyes and a confused expression, the captain waved his hands in an attempt to sooth her. Upon closer inspection, the dragon-kin was able to identify a broken wrist by the awkward way in which her hand was twisted.

The captain was glad to hear that Samuel was offering an additional portion to the story. McCallahan could not have expected Tia to be a part of the situation, especially considering the awful state her hand had been in prior to the incident. By the looks of Mariko, it did not seem as though she had anything other than a wounded wrist so the panic was certainly overplayed. Glancing around, the man spotted Penelope and motioned for her to come closer to Mariko, "Do you know what exactly she's done to her wrist? What materials will you need to better aid her in healing?" Although the captain was not sure of what exactly to do, he would provide everything Penelope needed.

The venomous tone in Victoria's voice showed a clear sign of resentment towards Tracey. Although the captain was somewhat bothered with how quickly the able seaman departed the situation in order to tend to Tia, he understood the situation. In his own shoes, Aiden McCallahan would have acted in a very similar manner. It would have been more appropriete, however, to have asked if anything else was needed of him before leaving. Aiden worried if the years were causing his judgement to be impaired.

In the midst of the situation Samuel managed to offer quite a bit of down talk in Victoria's direction. Bringing his two, fire colored, eyes to the man's form, the captain spoke clearly for everyone to hear. "That will do nothing to aid the situation. If you cannot act as an able crew and help everyone, then feel free to leave my ship. I am your captain, not your father and I will not waste my time hearing pety arguments." Once the man had finished, he knelt down and picked Mariko into his arms. "Mariko, I will bring you to the lower level in order for you to choose a cabin for yourself. Once we have you laying down, I will find Penelope to check on your hand. Do not worry about your violin at the moment.. You will certainly play again.." He offered a charming smile in her direction.

''Captain, is she okay? I have rum which might dull any pain, should I go fetch it?'' he asked frantically. He was worried about Mariko, although it didn't look too bad, it must be really painfull. He added nervously ''Oh, and I got a musket instead of a sword. Sorry.'' his thoughts returned to Mariko, and her broken wrist.

Gods, What's happend, it's all been so crazy, what a first day. Well, I have rum, but the question is will the captain want Mariko to have it? I'm not sure how long the fall was, it could be bad, I don't know. Arrr Im so confused! Calm down, relax, okay, its fine, it wasn't very big anyway.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 02, 2006 12:58 am

((Didnt mean to Kieko, Samuel would have reacted that way regardless of whom it was))

Samuel watched the Captain abit unsure of what to say. Should he leave? Nothing Samuel had said he felt was wrong and he had already apologized to the girl and yet her words of disgust towards Tracey went unnoticed. Samuel had been trying to calm the problem not make it worse. Sammy hadnt had a a good start on this ship and was now considering leaving it.
"Maybe I should go, I dont like being judged before people have my name." Samuel took out a pice of paper and wrote something on it.
"Avelop can you give this to Tia and please dont read it...." Samuel foled the the paper and handed it to Avelop.
"Sorry we couldnt work together it would have been fun. One more thing."
Samuel then whispered into Avelop's ear.
"I dont think Mariko, is right in the head. I dont even think she has a violin. Keep an I on her she'll need alot of watching." With that Samuel turned to leave the boat he wasnt accepted enough as it was he didnt need to stay here.

Avelop nodded to Samuel and said ''Sorry it didn't work out for you, I'd like to see you again so don't get yourself killed on a different ship. I'll give her the message, don't worry, I wont read it.'' Avelop patted Skull on the back, ''If she's not okay in the head, hmm. Well I'll manage but I think she's just in shock, I'd be....'' he added solumly. Then burst out into laughter ''Except I wouldn't fall!'' He handed Skull a bottle of rum he had in his sash and said ''Good luck, know you'll always have a friend.''

He shook skulls hand then tossed some rum to the captain saying ''It'll help, It dulls the pain alot.''
