Lol I'd have to agree with you, It's eaiser to get laid as a band geek. I think it's great that my girlfriend finds me very attractive in my uniform xd . Way too funny that I (and quite a few more band members) get more action than any little b***h football player.

As far as it goes in my band, there aren't very many people running around having sex.
Relationships though, are all over the place. I dated a baritone for 3 years (that was a serious mistake and 3 years of hell) but I'm with a saxophone now, but he does to a different school. Funny... I met him at an away band camp last summer....
Yeah... Band nerds date other band nerds... It's just destined to be that way.
Oh, I don't care what other people say. Trumpets aren't the best kissers. Sax's are.

As pathetic as it is, I actually sat down and counted how many relationships there are in my school band. There are approx. 200 of us and I counted at least 20 relationships. I don't know if any of them are sexual or not (I know at least a few that are and a few that deffinately are not). The only problem is...half of them only last like a month! Granted I am in high school so most relationships aren't that serious anyway, but still. Personally I have only ever dated musicians. Not that I wouldn't date a non-musician, I have just never been attracted to one lol. Jeeze I make them sound like aliens or something. My current b/f is a muscian (conveniently enough the same main instrument), and we have been dating for 9 months...hopefully longer....but yeah. That is my take on getting laid as a band nerd. Another thing that just popped into my head...I don't know what it is like for you people, but I go a school of science and technology, but the band program seems to dominate (1600 people in the school and 200 involved in band in some way). But even as big as we are, we get shunned from other students. The teachers all love us because we are...well...geeks BUT...yeah if you are a band geek you only get laid by other band geeks...at my school anyway.

In our section, we are perverted (c'mon, we're percussionists! It comes with the job.). But we're also really comfortable around each other. Relationships are flirty and non-committed. though there are a few serious relationships. Our Busch Gardens trip should be interesting...

Durza the Shade Neko Kafweenu If stuff like that goes on in my band, I don't know about it. I just see people in normal, innocent BF/GF relationships, and that's all I wanna see...... Likewise. I'm staying far away from this one . . . Ditto!

there was this one girl in the flute section who had a baby last year so she had to be in the pit after she had the baby cuz the season was almost over when she came back. it was her seinor year too

mipcy the only relationships I've had have been within the band. At our school, most of us are band nerds and proud of it. We're not afraid to say something, but we are usually segregated from the rest of the school because of the comments we make. Mostly due to someone's race, but we only make fun of the people in band, and they know we love them. Since our band only has about 120 members, it's just like a really big family. I have heard of people coming to school for a band function on something and then getting very friendly afterwards, and then some that lock themselves in the guard room with their signifcant other, but I've never been whitness to such acts. whoa [begin_sarcasm] ONLY 120 MEMBERS!!!!!????? [End_sarcasm] lol my band has 28 people. so its impossible for me to date band people because theres only like 10 girls and 7 of them are in 8th grade. and at my school the band is treated like ALIENS. and everyones all obsessed with football. and they get mad when i say we get more accomplished on the feild that the football team(the team SUCKS they won 1 game last year, and it was because the opponents best player broke his ankle) its funny. me and my friend brandi are the only not virgins in the band. (not with eachother). so yeah

our band is full or horny little kids. and on top of it, a majority of our band is bisexual (me too >.>)
so basicly band trips = orgys xp sweatdrop
yep yep (whats funny is we live under the "bible belt" but were all bi...weird)

I remember on a band trip that I recently went on, there was one trumpet player from the other band that we were playing with. He was a friend of my old flute buddy in junior high, who I had been reunited with on the trip, and he ended up hanging out with us the whole trip. He was pretty sweet, and admitted to 'being attracted' to me (his words, exactly. xD). We would have probably gone out after the trip, but on the last day, he admitted to having a girlfriend back home. What a dink. -.-;

(being a sax player myself) i'd have to say that is sooo true. band kids date other band kids. As always, there is a band whore. For us it was this one flute player (for some reason all the flute players at our school are stuck up and preppy and have whore-ish tendencies) who went out with every guy in band most of us are sexually active too, and mostly with other people in band. and there are barely 100 of us. (there were 130 my freshmen year) I have dated 5 guys in my band, 3 trumpets, one french horn, and one drummer (my current boyfriend), and thats not that bad, conidering other people i know... i think we all date each other because we spend so much time together: 3 days together at practice every week, EVERY weekend at comps for about 3 months, the many long road trips, the annual week long plane trip to wherever...and all of concert season.

for some reason, at our school the drummers date the colorguard. and thats how it goes. until i screwed things up! lol my boyfriend is a percussionist...and im not in guard. (although i am in drumline... :/ if that counts?)

last year i went out with a percussionist for like a day. XD
in past years, at least one guardie went out with a percussionistie.
not this year though.
hah.
i think during this coming school year, since the people on drumline who hate the guard are graduating, there may be more friendlienss....i dunno.
