Shinju's jaw dropped in surprise. "How did you manage to do that?" Shinju asked, "That was amazing! You are amazingly skilled." Shinju looked at her own bow and glanced at Draakair-sama. I wonder if I'll ever really be able to do that. Shinju thought, I guess I have a ways to go yet.

He accidentally overheard Shinju's thoughts.
"Darn...I really have to learn to keep my guard against thought-hearing around you...And of course you'll be able to do that some day! I don't even know if I could do it yet, and I've been using a bow since I was three!
It just takes practice, then you can move on to those things. I just got a head-start, and Draakair's probably been using a bow a LOT longer than both of us put together."
He put an arrow on his bow, and aimed it at a target, then pulled back and released it.
He pointed at the arrow as it flew threw the air.
"Multi-strike...I hope I can get this to work now..."
the arrow hit the target in the center, then slid out, moving and jabbing the target everywhere else, then back in the center again.
Finally...

Shinju sighed and shook her head. "I have quite a ways to go before I'll be able to catch up to either of you." Shinju said, "I need to practice quite a bit more." Shinju notched her bow and aimed. She let the arrow fly with another jerk and hit the target. It hit just on the top of the target's center. I'm getting better at lease.Shinju thought, A bit more work and I should be able to move on to more complicated skills.

Ryu smiled as he over heard Shinju. "If it makes you feel any better, your light years farther then what I can manage."
Draakair smiled. "Ah Ryu, what beings you here?"
"Oh, just checking up on things." He looked back at Shinju. "You see, I was never one for the bow, I more of a up close kind of guy."

shinju smiled. "I'm pretty good with both if it involves ice. But my bow skill is... um... obsolete." Shinju said, "And I doubt you could be as bad as you say with the bow."

He notched an arrow to his bow, and an electric feeling filled the air.
He aimed right at the center of the target, and loosed the arrow.
Electricity spun around the arrow, then it turned into a burst of lightning and shot forward at the center, faster.
The target was thick and very sturdy, covered in a thin layer of rubber,
painted to still show the target.
It hit the target, and there was a flash of light, making only a plain field of yellow everywhere, and a big bang.
When everything cleared, he stood there with his bow in his quiver with the rest of his arrows, and his ears covered.
"Oops..I overdid it....I thought I'd placed lots of thick rubber on the target, but I only put on a thin layer..."
Where the target was before, there was a black mark on the ground, with smoke going off of it. His arrow had exploded.
"I need to go easier on the lightning if I ever do that again...I guess I got too excited upon trying that shot, and my arrow went with the target..."
A bit of smoke came off his right hand.
"That was loud....I just gave myself a killer headache..."
He said with a groan.

Ryu laughed. "You should use my target down the way. I used to use it a lot when I was practicing my electricity skills. Its well insulated with some stakes around it to transfer the energy harmlessly into the ground." He turned to Shinju. "Nah, it really is that bad. I have a sort of mental block for that kind of thing."

"No problem." He smiled. "Just glad to see another that interested in lightning. Its very hard to control so most don't mess with it."
Draakair looked at Shinju. "Don't worry. Keep practicing and you will be able to do whatever you want. My dojo is at your command."

"Say, Ryu, have you by any chance seen a water manipulating 5 year old lately? I haven't seen him in ages."
(I really ought to use that character more..)
"Oh well. Could you please direct me to this target?"
(I think there should be a Lightning Dojo.)

Shinju almost sweat dropped at that comment. "Tried to.. um fry himself?" Shinju said and shook her head. "That..um sounds like an intresting story. The little guy is okay, right?"

Ryu looked over. "Oh yeah. The arrogant little guy wanted me to go full power. I told him I was using 80% but I was really only using about 5%. If I used 15% he would have been wiped out from existence."
