Hikaro glanced up, peering at the owl he knew so well. "Everett, friend!" He called in response, holding up his arm, so the owl could use it as a perch, if he so desired. Plus, it would make it easier to reach the messages, the swing set was rather tall.
Edit: Woo! First post on page eighteen! My favorite number!

Everett dropped onto Hikaro''s arm and turned around, exposing the canister for them to get the messages.

Hikaro ignored the owl's talons on his arm as he opened the canister strapped to the owl's back. It was light, but strong, very good for avian carriers. Inside there were two messages, one with his name on it. He took them both out, clicking the canister shut.
Handing the other to Raven, Hikaro opened the message to read what it said.

Dear Hikaro,
Hey, we've made it successfully to Riverview City. We're all done unpacking, and everyone seems a little more relaxed. Natu and I have been trying to look for other Hououzas in the city, but we have failed so far. Maybe they are hiding though....anyway, while we stayed unpacking one night, Riddle slipped off and came back with a sparkling blue feather! So far, "Takato," has been staying on a pillow in the moonlight in Riddle's room. And because we can't find other Hououzas to meet, we are pretty lonely here...so I have taken the liberty to attach our address to this message in hope you come to the city for a visit. Wish you were here!
-Ryo.
P.S. Make sure you stop by the rental shop before you go to the address.
Attached was an address.
1289 Waterfall Lane Riverview City
Raven's was exactly the same, except it said, "Dear Raven," instead of Hikaro.

Liberty pulled away from Raven at the site of the others and she scrambled backwards, terrified practicallly of the others.

Everett turned to Liberty. "Hello, whoo whoo. Harm you, I will not," he hooted.

Liberty looked horrified and as she fell backwards looking at them she bowed her head shaking from fright, "I'm sorry, so sorry..."

((...*bursts into laughter* THATS AWESOME!! *pokes* owl man... oh yea... I apologize for my daughters timidness... I don't let her outside... twisted ))
Someone was apologizing to her? When she had eavesdropped (or so she thought)? When she had been so rude to try to run from them as if they were monsters unlike herself? Liberty looked up and then looked at her hands which were wringing in her lap. The small little girl still didn't understand.

"Odd one, you are. Very timid, indeed you are. This way, why are you?" Everett hooted.

(( Auuugh! TT__TT Things progress so fast while I'm in school and don't have much computer time. Can I make a TINY request that you all slow down for me just a -little-?))
Raven looked to his two friends, smirking a bit and folding his arms. "Well, looks like I won't have to go looking afterall." he decided, before the burning sensation that had sent him into a cursing panic earlier, suddenly ignited on his shirt again.
"GODDAMMIT! PYRE! I'M GONNA HURT YOU WHEN MOM ISN'T LOOKING!!" he cursed, yanking the golden-orange feather from his neck and pushing it as far away from him as possible.
The feather did nothing but gleen proudly, and make almost a... giggling noise...

((Alright, sure.))
Everett stared at the feather for a few moments, unsure what to make out of it. "An Elemental feather. Feel sorry for you, I do. Think she's bad now, you do? Until she grows, you must wait," Everett hooted, predicting that Pyre would burn whatever she touched when she grew.

Aiko walked in with Gwena and Carl at either side of her, not talking to each other. "C'mon, you could try and make an effort. I'm sure Carl didn't mean it..." she sighed. There was no reply. Then suddendly Carl saw other children a bit far away. "Can I go and play with them?" he asked. "Ok..." started Aiko, but he was already running away.

Liberty started to answer the owl-like male but stopped as the other boy held out a gleaming feather and she jumped up, "No... you can't!" She covered her mouth and apologized again and went on quietly in an almost whisper. "You can't hurt it... it's just a feather, that'd be... so cruel..."

Hikaro had progressively begun to appear more and more cross. Normally gentle honey golden eyes heated into an orange smolder, but by looking at him, no one could really be certain why. He bristled slightly, but noticibly, feathers fluffing in irritation. He turned to regard Everett, holding the letter, "I thank you for delivering this." He said, before turning to Raven, "Hello, it's good to see you." He said, before turning away, completely ignoring Liberty, and taking to the sky.
