Tie seemed to ignore him and ate the apple she had grabbed before going back to get another of the ones that dropped. She got colder, instead of warmer, and began to shake more but she just brushed it off and ate the second apple.

Aku lifted his head from the pond, and watched her shake as she walked. He arched a brow at her, but returned it to normal and went to one of the other trees. Instead of going for an apple though, he started grazing along the bottom of it; picking up some of the fallen apples that were there in the grasses.

Tie looked to where Aku was and, makign sure he wasn't looking, walked to the hot spring. The air was much warmer around it so she settled in a little spot beside it and lay her head down to rest...perhaps sleep...

Aku smiled at the mare, though making sure not to turn his head, and continued grazing on the old apples on the ground, and the grass that they were hidden in; working a steady path around the tree. He would yet get that mare to doubt what her 'mate' said. And who knows. She was amusing. Maybe he would keep her around for a time.

A soft sigh escaped the mare. she ws content and happy, at least as happy as she could be. Yet...being alone suddenly...made her feel...alone...and a bit scared...somthing she hadden't encontered since she knew Racer. "Aku...how can you live out here all by yourself?" she asked, not entirely sure if he would hear.

His ears perked at the mare's voice, and he slipped back into character. He lifted his head and shrugged, though he wasn't sure if she was going to see it. I've never really had a herd, or people to care for me. So, being alone doesn't bother me. I like being alone. And the forest will never lie to me, or leave me behind. It gives me food, it shelters me; what else would I really need?

"comanionship...love...a forest can't offer you thoese things...i never thought i needed them until i met Racer and he showed me how to trust somone other then myself..." She didn't know who she spoke so freely to the demon...but she felt calm...and relaxed...and in this state she was at her most suseptable.

But the forest won't betray you either; will never leave you for another lover; never decide you are unworthy of her; never care what you look like, or your lineage. She will test you yes, she always does, though she will help you with those tests if you know how to help yourself. I will never find companionship or love. Because no one will ever really accept me as I am. They are always going to see a demon, and wonder what type of creature I am.
You're the first one that has never run from me. And you already have a mate. So, I don't think there is hope for me ever finding love. You are very lucky there. And you don't know how lucky you truely are. He turned away, his ears sideways in distress.

"Correction...i HAD a mate...i left him remeber...i'm alone now..." she curled up more, ears back sadly. Right then, mroe then anything, she wished she wasn't alone...that she had somone to care about her. "and its scary..." she whispered so softly that she thought no one would hear.

I'm sorry. He came towards her, laying beside her, and putting a wing over her back. And you're not alone. I'm here. And you can stay here as long as you want. It's a good place. And it will keep you warm during the winter.

Tie blinked, her head raiseing and turning to look at Aku with mild surprise. Thne she smiled slightly. "thank you..." she said before laying her head down again. "vary much..." out of the courner of her eye she looked at the wing that was drapped over her body. it was a bit odd...but comforting.

Aku rose as the sun lit the sky from behind the mountains, and he shook the frost from his coat. He stretched from the hind end to the fore, then stretched his wings to their fullest extent. It had actually been nice to have someone to sleep next to. He might actually like to keep this one around.

Tie continued to sleep soundly until suddenly a great sneeze shook her, causeing her to awake with a jolt. She looked around and blinked sleeply. the past days events began to regester and set in, and she looked at Aku before streatching to wake herself up fully.
