Whenever Tia Dalma decided to study her runes, there was nothing Gwendolyn could do but sit and watch. One of the first things she learned was to never (I repeat n-e-v-e-r) disturb Tia Dalma when she was doing this. So one evening, when Gwendolyn was watching Tia Dalma, a thought occurred to her. She decided to risk asking Tia Dalma her question. Tia Dalma, is there any way to bring back the dead? Tia Dalma looked up from her runes looking mildly surprised. Then she went back to her runes and answered her. Aye. You can bring back the dead but only at a terrible price. You would have to sail to the ends of the earth and beyond to fetch back whomever. Even so there is but one incantation and even that has its limit. The risen will have one year to roam the earth until they must go back. Tell me this incantation. Tia Dalma taught her the incantation and for the rest of the week she practiced it. She would shoot birds with her pistol (she was getting very good at it by now) and then resurrect them with the incantation. When she was sure that she had it cut deep into her memory, she went to Tia Dalma. I have an urgent errand to run. And with that, she snapped her fingers and disappeared in a swirl of dust and wind.

Malachus simply turned his head torwards the human. It was likely the captain of the ship he was protecting, and as such he served it, even if it was a wee bit swarthy, "I am Malachus. I was sent for Erynis the Siren to protect this vessel from things that would wish it harm." His voice was powerful, but weary and indifferent. He had lived many years, and had learned to take the position of nuetrality after seeing the ships he had protected, sunk by other ships. Alas was the pact. He was not to assist with anything that happened above the water, as his only duty was to protect the vessel from things below the waves. Malachus uncoiled his long, snake like body, flexing the prismatic fins that ran the length of it's body. He dwarfed the human many times over, but he never let size factor in to anything, whether physical or otherwise. Too many times he'd been suprised by the actions, both heroic and sinister, of humans to underestimate them.

Kibo's mouth closed over his bared teeth, and his expression softened.
Kibo: Oh... well, I welcome you then! And I thank you for your help!
Kibo extends his hand, grinning now.

Gwendolyn appeared at the island where she had her first and last adventure with Kibo and the crew since she left. From where she was she could see that the houses and streets were empty. But she had a good idea where they were. She traveled to the center of the island. Sure enough, there stood a crowd of women and children still mourning the death of their husbands who had died almost a year ago. The spirits Kibo had conjured had long faded away. One of the women noticed Gwendolyn and she screamed alerting the whole crowd. It's her! It's the girl who killed Forn! Quick, get her! The crowd...er...angry mob ran at her. Gwendolyn put up her hand and no matter how hard they tried they could not get within ten feet of her. No matter what they threw or how hard they threw nothing would touch her. When the whole crowd was exhausted Gwendolyn put her hand down panting. It took up a lot of energy to hold up that kind of protection for so long. Stop! I have not come here to cause any more havoc than I have already done. Instead, I came here to undo that havoc. With that she muttered the incantations and after a few mintutes the ground began to move. The men were coming out of the holes where Kibo had buried them. The women screamed but soon got over their fear. Soon there was a many kissing and hugging as the men were reunited with their families. Men, make the best of your life for now. You have but one year to roam this earth. She smiled and bowed her head. Then she snapped her fingers and again disappeared in a whirl of dust and wind.

"I, errr... Don't do that. Exactly..." Malachus simply curled up again, rested his head on the floor of the ocean and looking up at Kibo once more, "If I am needed, I will come. But as you will surely find out, I'm not at all a social creature. So I'd respect it if I were left to my own devices." Malachus lowered his head again, moving around a bit and grunting, then falling into a light sleep. He'd know, as he always did, when the ship would move on, but until then, he was tired.

Kibo pulls back his hand.
Kibo: Ohh... Well, in any case, thank you.
With that, Kibo quietly swims to the surface, scaling the ship, until he reaches the side, where he hangs a bit, waiting for Storm to surface.

Gwendolyn appears back at Tia Dalma's house. When she comes in, Tia Dalma greets her. I am expecting visitors. When they come you must go to the backroom and close the door. A few seconds later, they heard people coming up the ladder. Gwendolyn dashed to the backroom and shut the door behind her. Then she put her ear to the keyhole. Jack Sparrow..... Tia Dalma.... I always knew would blow you back to me one day.

Sammy the skull pulled Gwen back, holding a rusty dagger to her throat and leaning over, whispering to her carefully, "Now, if you want to live, you'll pay heed to what I'm about to ask you." Sammy wrapped an arm around her midsection and held her there, making sure she wouldn't move. He was prepared to give her a good slice at a moment's notice if she made a sound, and wouldn't hesitate to do so, "I've heard from a reliable source that you can bring people back from the dead. Tell me about that will you?"

*Followed him up closely and with a few sure strokes swam over to him, wipeing a pice of wet hair out of my face.* "So what was that all about? I couldn't understand what you were saying."

Kibo suddenly looks away from Tortuga, out to sea.
Kibo: Something's wrong.
Kibo switches his blades, making the translucent wings appear on his back.
Kibo: I'll tell you later.
Kibo then jumps from the side of the ship, taking off at ungodly speeds towards the open ocean.

Gwendolyn remained calm. Even if he tried he couldn't kill her. It wasn't her time yet. But she didn't say this. Instead, she casually spoke to Sammy. Why are you asking me? You should be asking Tia Dalma herself if you want to obtain that kind of information.

As Kibo flew, a small bird, adorned with miniature bear claws, flies up to him. Kibo stops momentarily. The bird suddenly is replaced with a giant of a man, with large wings sprouting from his back, and a headdress of feathers, teeth, and claws. He silently points west, and Kibo nods in thanks, before flying in the direction of the man's finger, still at breakneck speed.
Kibo: Tia Dalma's? Interesting...

Gwendolyn paid no attention to Sammy and continued to listen through the keyhole. She was very interested in this Jack Sparrow. 'Fine gentleman of fortune. Oh yes, fine indeed,' she thought to herself.
