DarkReaper40k Thought for the day: Tau are narrow minded in the fact that they only work for the greater good, all their skills are there's alone. A Kroot is determined to eat all it's victims flesh so that it may copy it's dna and better itself. ~Explain to me in your opinion which race is smarter. Tau or Kroot? the tau, because they don't have to steal from orks or mooch of a different race to survive.

A tau army without Kroot is just an army with way too much long ranged s**t. A tau army with Kroot is an army to be easily intimidated by.

A Tau army with no Kroot is an intimidation factor. People see Kroot and laugh because they know the things are push overs in game terms. Imperial Guard can even stand up to them well!
My Tau fight alone, the Kroot stay at home because in the field's of war Kroot have no place in my strategem. Rely upon the reach of your weapons and skill of your warriors and victory is at hand.

12, and I really think you should avoid them. For one less point than Kroot you get some really bad guardsmen. Unless, of course, you want them for fluff, in which case go ahead and let us know if you have any sucess with them.

I've seen them used to fairly good effect, mostly as meat shields for Fire Warriors or as suicide chargers against vehicles with EMP grenades. Besides, they've got lasguns- even Terminators fear lasguns.

Yahiko_Meoshine WHAT?!?!?!? SINCE WHEN ARE LASGUNS HALFWAY DECENT!?!?!?!? When have they not been? For some reason, I've never seen a Terminator squad survive massed lasgun fire. Or Tau battlesuits, Necron Wraiths, or anything else expensive and few in number.

I'm not going to have a Flaming contest. Thank you very much. I just happen to like small powerful armies to very large less powerful armies. Less poweful in units power that is.
