punkfairy Lt_Brookman punkfairy I think I have it right now: the X pts. you pay in addition to the cost of the tank is for either a commander or a commissar. Am I right? Can anyone help me? You still ahve to pay for the vehicle that the Commander or Tank Ace uses. Commissar tanks have been removed from the latest version of the list. I suggest that you get the up to date list here and the vehicles that can be used here. The current Armoured Coy. list isn't as dangerous as it used to be, but can still deal plenty of damage. Few more questions: do I take a commander first, and then the other command tank is a commissar's (if so then why are commissars plural)? Is there even a difference beyond the name? Can they be given items from the armoury? For every two troop tanks, you need one command tank or tank ace. (So for six troop tanks, you will need one command tank and two tank aces) Commissars are REMOVED from this incarnation. Tank crews cannot be given wargear. The only kit that can be bought is the standard stuff for tanks and the special doctrine upgrade gear such as special armour and forge crafted.

I know next to nothing as well. Ballistics skill, weapons skill, strength, toughness, wounds, initiative, attack, leadership, and armor/save, if I remember correctly.

So how do you guys play your armies? My friends hate playing with me because the entire game my guys don't move. Seriously once my guys set up hopefully behind cover they don't move from that spot. Unless of course the heavy weapon is destroyed at which point they become a beserker force that charges the closest enemy because I don't care about them.

Lt_Brookman Dubyamn Pretty much. Honestly where do people get these ideas? People who sadly put too much thought into some of the more simple things of the Imperial Guard... the world needs more people who actually think about some of the more simple (overlooked, ignored) aspect of things. well acording to the rule book everything must be based on the same size base or a base that takes a larger ammount of space, so spliting a team up is technicaly against the rules, but it simplifies it because you know wich model is in hth, and 2 smaller bases are easier to fit in cover than one large one. just using a die as you sugested (like with multi-wound models?) just doesnt work. and besides all i did was ask a question, i didnt ask to be talked down to, or to be made any less intellegent than yourself. --kirk
