Drachyench_The_Eternal I have temporarily decided to stop playing a chaos army after having a dream where either Slaneesh or Tzeentch was slowly killing me with Razor Blades like Exacto-Knives. It's not hard to tell your chaos nasties apart, you know.. Apparently if you paint the mark of Khorne on the palm of your hand in red gore, it starts to feel like its burning.. ~shrug~

chaos_havoc1932 archeaon I would think that the missile launchers would work better against the nids because you can choose the missile type, but keep in mind that my death gaurd army can't take heavies so i don't really have eperience with them. btw, any suggestions for dealing with grey knights without using heavies? I know that u need weapons with lots of shots cuz u dont need weapons like lascannons agains termegaunts (but u do against warriors or hive tyrants) because the are weak and their armor save sucks (5+ or so) but i the challange is the hyve tyrant. my friend has a way of making its invulnerable save 2+!!! its amazing and hard to beat. How does your friend get an invulnerable? I was pretty sure that Tyranid lost the ablity to get an invunerable when they were able to get a 2+ save.

chaos_havoc1932 chaos_havoc1932 the majority of the people that i play are imperial guard, space marines n tyrranids (the tyrranids r really hard to kill especially the hive tyrant) i have 1 sorcerer, 16 khorne berserkers, 11 chaos space marines, 1 obliterator, 1 rhino, 3 chaos bikers, 1 raptor (got it for my birthday) and 1 termie champ (got it for my birthday) i usually lose. i won like 2 times out of the numerous battles that we played and the best thing i learned was KEEP AWAY FROM THE HIVE TYRANT N GENE STEALERS. come on. can someone help me??? eek Well for the big chaos nasties I would recomend some low AP high strength weapons Missle launchers won't be very useful because Hive tyrants usually get the damn 2+ save but plasma and las cannons do a number on the big beasties. But you also need to have some weapons with a high rate of fire. something like a heavy bolter should do the trick to take a good chunk out of the Gene stealers. Now the problem with Chaos vrs. Tyranid is that chaos are pretty much supposed to get into CC but against Tyranid they will flounder pretty badly. Against Imperial guard I would recomend getting into CC early and staying in CC as long as possible since the Imperial guard never lose in a slugging match and no army can match their number of heavy weapons so the only real option for you is to get up close and personal. For this I would recomend getting a squad of demons and binding them into a summoning standard which allows you to summon a squad of nasty nasty demons onto the feild without any rolls and it lets them move and assualt normally.

There's no such thing as a tyranid with an invulnerable save or a flying carnifex. They just don't exist. @ Drachyench_The_Eternal: you've got some strange dreams. There was this one time I dreamed I hacked this guy's heart out through the back of his rib cage...

It would be something like this:
12" + D6" move towards the closest enemy Must charge + 1S, +1I while charging (plus the additional attack) 8 Ws6 S5 Attacks with a re-roll each turn, ignores armour saves Cute

I don't think the 'Zerker Glaive grants you bonus attacks.

well its 8 atleast, glaive doubling standard attacks to 6, then +1 for mark and mutation, but we didnt know if mutation went before or after doubling as it is his body, not some weapon
