Actually, the normal Warboss would work well. He's not expensive as HQ models go, and he just plain looks neat. Both Orky Warbosses have the same stat line, and the only real difference is their stuff puttied onto the model anyways. As to gear options, you should probably give your Warboss a Power Claw, seeing as he is the only model in the Feral Ork army who can have one and it will make him Str. 10 in h2h with a minimum of 5 attacks on the charge which is easy to raise higher with wargear. Also, I don't think any Ferals get Bioniks at all, so you don't need to worry about tubes and metal bits of flesh or arms. Like I suggested earlier, a Warboss with Nob retinue all on Cyboars is a terrifying sight, and the only reliable way in a Feral army to give them armor saves. If I'm remembering it right, a Cyboar gives a 4+ save and a Super Cyboar gives a 3+ (Super Cyboar is Warboss only gear tho) as well as both providing an extra attack in h2h and being able to Fleet Of Foot. That of course would imply a buttload of points devoted to him and his retinue of course. However, don't be discouraged at the lack of Cyboars in the miniature range. So long as you aren't going into very large tournaments Nob and Warboss models look best astride plastic dinosaurs anyways. Convert old toys into riding Squigs. It's cheaper, looks cooler, and gives you a chance to use some of the thousands of bits you'll have from constructing a Feral Ork army. Since Nob and Warboss models are all metal they survive suprisingly well having their legs slowly bent wider to accomodate a mount beneath them.

Ophiuchus Anyone got ideas on a Feral Ork Warboss? I would reccomend the fantasy savage orcs. They look feral and the Boss claw can be custom made from the Skull and Jaw bone bits that the standard pole usually has. It not only looks feral but it is Unique. If someone says it is not very power klaw like say it is the Powa' of the WAAAGGHH!!! They are orks if they believe it it happens basically. Also the small squiggoths from forge world are a must for hvy support choices. I am planning feral in my near future just for the squiggoth and the Gargantuan squiggoth...

Is it legal to post THOSE rules? xd Actually, yes, it is, as those are no longer the current rules system. Then again, they might complain because they might still hold the copyright. As long as we give them credit though, I think it will be alright.

Of course i'll have to follow the new rules, but anything I can do that matches them a bit more...
