Rayla gave a fake reassuring smile.
"Really...I'm fine..."
She looked at him, realizing he wasn't going to stop. She sighed and smiled at him. Persistance pays off after all...am i really...?
"Promise...you won't tell...?"
She looked into his eyes and smiled, he could be trusted. She tugged on his arm and pulled him into a nearby room. She peeked outside to see if anyone was looking and she closed the door.
"Well...my parents died from a disease..caused by a virus. I got a small dose from it just from being around them, nothing too serious. We thought it was just a natural disease, but we later found out it was an attack on them."
She shook her head and sat down on the floor.
"I...."

He nodded and looked at her. He smiled and rested a hand on her shoulder,"Hey you don't have to keep all of this in y'know. If you ever turlly need to talk to someone, I am here for you, always ok." He smiled and gave her a small hug. "You don't have to hide from me, ok?"

Rayla smiled from his warmth. She sighed and frowned slightly.
"Thats not all of it...."
She bit her lip and looked off to the side. She hadn't told anyone yet, and she wasn't quite sure she was ready. She had started to tell though, and she had to finish.
"The disease wasn't normal. It targeted genetics, turning them inside out and every which way, causing....mutations. My parents...they...got it a little too rough...and it destroyed them...me on the other hand.."
She removed her hat slowly and dropped it on the floor. Her silver hair cascaded down passed her waist and her feline ears perked up and twitched.
"Now i'm just a freak.."
She buried her face into her hands and shed a few tears.
"I don't want the others to think i'm not on their side..."

He looked at the ears and smiled,"They're cute." He raised a hand and hesatently touch them before rubbing her head inbetween the ears. "I think they're beautiful." He laughed and rotated his neck, giving it a sharp pop. "You shouldn't hide this. To tell the truth, cat girls turn me on."

Rayla jumped slightly when Joker reached out to touch her ears. She stepped back and looked away, gently setting her hat back on.
"Beautiful? That makes two of us, but strangers aren't so easily swayed.."
Her eyes grew small and she gasped, blushing.
"Wh-what!?"
She took another step back and giggled softly.
"Well..thats.. certainly one i never heard before...this is akward..."

He sighed and nodded. "Well then I guess I should leave you be then." He turned opening the door, he gave a quick look to see that no one was around before exiting the room. He stopped,"Oh and I was serious, if you need to talk let me know."

Rayla wiped her eyes and followed Joker out of the room, flipping off the light before exiting.
"I will...oh, and Joker....thanks..."
She gave him a quick peck on the cheek and adjusted her hat, blushing lightly. She skipped off towards her room, thoughts buzzing in her head. What just happened in the last 10 minutes. Did i just..?

He smiled and then picked up his phone at hit a number in. "King, Joker. One down, six to go." He hung the phone up before walking off to his room to get some shut eye for the night.
