The most hated instrument in the band is the saxaphones, but out of all the saxaphones it is the tenor saxapones

Tuba. The two Tuba players are really bad at playing tuba, and are complete and total A**holes no matter what instrument you play.(They even hate each other)Note:if you're a tuba player anywhere other than my school, I'm sure you're very nice people and this isn't saying that all you guys are like this.

mirmirfied5 squshi I HATE the flute/piccolo..... nobody can stand the instrument...even some of the people who play them hate the instrument.... then i personally only like one or two of the musicians playing the instrument.... excuse me? I play the flute and I like my instrument!! The only reason that most flute players are so stuck up is because they are the quietest instrument in the band and they want to be heard!!!!! scream evil I love my instrument..which happens to be flute-and I don't think that we're really that stuck up...just crazy and random and really vicious when it comes to competing with the low brass... wink

I am not such a fan of flutes just because there are so many of them...I suppose it's getting better, but my freshman year there were 60 band members and 40 of them were flutes...when there's that many it starts to get really annoying...(Plus it's one of the only instruments in my band that I can't play yet...it makes me sad when there's an instrument I can't play...)
...but then again flutes actually sound nice most of the time...can't say I'm a fan of the sound an oboe makes...it reminds me of a dying duck...

Percussion; they always change what's written and mess up the band while doing so.

When I was in school, none of them could march, they thought that they were better than everyone else, was always loud, could never learn their music, would never listen, etc. gonk

WOW! ok, i was just readin like the first page of this and a few other posts...seems like EVERYONE hates the trumpet secion...
seriously, im my band, the trumpets, are some of the most liked people in band. AND we have some of the best players! they've gone to many solo competitions, like senior distrect, and done very well. and whenever our band director picks a person to play a solo in marching band, its usually a trumpet or a sax player...sometimes a flute....
and as for who the band hates the most, it would probably be the clarinets. they're ALWAYS playing something wrong and in almost every practice you'll hear one of them squeek...ITS SO ANNOYING!...a few people hate the flute too becauses they're wicked blonde and ditzy, but they do play well. They just nned some common sense.... sad

Hmmm, in concert band definately the Oboe, we only have one, and she's never...ever...EVER in tune!
In Marching Band it's a tie between the Flute N00bs and the Trumpet N00bs. They can't march, and they can't play. Which is bad, especially for the trumpets, because they have important parts.

i'd have to say trumpets, then clarinets. but mostly trumpets. trumpet players are soo egotistical (being mostly males) and thats annoying. they're not even that good either.

Trombones are always getting yelled at and the flutes get pissed everytime they empty their spit valves onto the floor because we all have to walk through it later.
