Velris nods, and pulls back the hood of his cloak. He drags a hand through his spiky black hair, then says, "Indeed..."
Taps Goldenfoot comes hurrying back to the table holding a bottle of red wine with elven writing on it. "Here you are, sir Blade. Elariel Wineyards Cabernet Vintage 1244. I hope it is to your liking." He opens the bottle and pours a taste into Velris's wine glass. Velris spins the glass around and smells the wine. Then, he takes a sip, swishing it around in his mouth.
"Yes... yes. This will do nicely." Taps pours two glasses, one for Cross and one for Velris, then puts the bottle on ice near the table. Then the halfling hurries back behind the bar.

biggrin "Actually that was what was said, 'Run my little one, I shall protect you with my life!' Dimitri cursed himself for murdering that party that day, that fragmented his mind. In truth me and Ziggy are the ones that should have been the most cursed...we did nothing." biggrin His watered and his voice cracked a bit. biggrin "Dimitri may not have feared death, but he charged in to protect the raams. No matter what excuses I make, I could have done the same. The raams were farmers, I could've used something as a weapon. But instead I let myself get herded into safety and watch my own brother lose his mind crying . Forgive me for that outburst...if you want, I'll leave you to your thoughts. I fear that I may have place a burden on you, if that burden prove to much a tea can be provided to sleep it off." biggrin

A small figure wanders into the tavern, draped with a cloak, designed with many hues of red and purple. You here no sound when it moves, and it almost seems as if the figure is floating as it strides over to the bar. Finally, the figure climbs onto a stool, resting its head against the bar. You hear a noise... almost like a sharp intake of breat. What was it doing? Was it... sniffing? How odd...

"Yeah, raising children means you have to stop traveling. As I haven't even a home, I certainly plan on waiting for awhile as well, but I wouldn't mind raising children in the future." I look around at all the people in the bar. "So, what do you feel like talking about now?"

"Well, why didn't he ever tell anybody? I can understand that it might be a sensitive subject, especially if he overreacts just by thinking about it, but keeping things locked up forever isn't good."

stare "A few reasons: first, feels guilty about the raams. If we weren't there making them active, they would be standing like statues. But they would be safe. Second he believed that he murdered those people rather than his alternate mind. Third, the real reason he wear the cowl is because as part of the curse, he felt that he sould always remember what he had done. He picked up one of the dagger the party carried. He then proceeded to across the left side of his mouth, he still carries that dagger with him. In a sense, the curse had worked, noone could ever heal it. But the raams felt it might affect his mind too much and made the robes he wears today. Some how he washes them, but I have never seen him take them off since he got them." stare
