Malik frowned slightly,unhappy with being ignored.He peered over at Ryou,finally letting Yami Malik slip from his gaze,knowing the darkness wouldnt do anything for awhile.The egyptian then turned his gaze to Jou,wondering if he would take them.Then his lavender eyes looked back to Ryou.

Jou nodded, holding a hand out for the bottle. "Yeah, thanks... I could probably just take some home with me, so that when I eat there..." Jou stopped, letting his voice trail off a bit. His eyes widened and he felt a pang of fear in his chest, though it wasn't caused by the one on the bed anymore. '...s**t. If dad woke up last night... and I wasn't home yet... and he's sober enough to remember...' The blonde frowned, not liking the thought. True, he might get lucky, but if he wasn't... well, there was no real way to tell until he went home. Whenever that would be. He looked down at his leg and frowned further, not liking that plan. "... Actually... would ya' mind if I stayed over a little longer?" Jou asked quietly, looking back at Ryou. He forced a smile on, turning to give it to Malik as well. If you two don't mind me stayin' any longer, that is..." Out of the corner of his eye, Jou spotted Yami no Malik and sighed with relief that he wasn't being stared at anymore. It'd felt so odd...

Ryou put the bottle in Jou's hands and looked to Malik, and back again. "I dont see why not..." he said and bent over to put the things back into the box and held it in his good hand. While being in the room it made him feel anything but happy. For this was where he would have slept when not wanting to go back into the ring. Or where he would have yelled at Ryou about something. And for some reason...Ryou wanted it again.
Pushing the thoughts aside he headed for the door quickly. "I have some food ready...if you want it" he said softly before finally leaving the room. His back faced the doorway as he starred at the ground. After a couple of minutes he pushed his feet towards the stairs.

Malik got up and followed Ryou wordlessly.He didnt return Jou's smile,but he stopped frowning.He was confused by Ryou's behavior,but he figured that it had something to do with the ring.But he decided he shouldnt assume,so he did nothing.
"Perfect.Hes staying.More torture.."Yami Malik smirked mentally,then he shifted his body weakly,trying to act as though he was hurt or weak.His eyes remained closed.

Jou used the edge of the doorway to pick himself up, casting one more glance at the form on the bed before slowly following the other two. He wasn't too eager to say much of anything... the house had a bad aura at the moment. Ryou seemed kind of sad and distracted, Malik seemed like his usual troubled self, also distracted, and then there was the psycho laying in the bedroom. Jou shook his head. Something needed to lighten up around the place before he became suffocated by the negativity...

Yami Malik cried out loudly,trying to get Jou to come back.His eyes opened alittle,his head turning towards the doorway.He was unable(or feigning to be unable) to move otherwise.

Jou jumped, the unnatural noise from the bedroom startling him. He turned around and blinked a few times, wondering what that was all about. Looking indesicively between the retreating forms of Ryou and Malik and the bedroom door, he finally sighed and walked back over to the bedroom, hesitantly peeking inside.

Ryou started downstairs until he heard a cry that startled him, causing his bad arm to flinch and grab ahold of the stairs railing. He winced at the pain that pulsed up and down his arm as his muscles squeezed. He quickly let go and turned around to look back up. He then saw Jou going back to the room. He waited there, looking between Jou and Malik for a moment, waiting for one of the two to say something. For he was confused by everything at this point now.

Yami Malik closed his eyes and gave a cry again.He forced his body to tremble as though frightened by something.His eyes opened slightly as he gave a quieter cry,then he fell silent.
Malik rested a hand on Ryou's shoulder.He had heard the yami's cries,but he felt no sympathy for it.
"Just leave it Jou.Its probably just a trap."Malik snarled angrily.He had never forgiven the creature for what he had done.He heard the cry a third time,its volume increasing.Malik scowled at the doorway.
Yami Malik growled mentally.
'Leave it to my hikari to try and screw my plans up.'
But on the outside,he continued his facade.
"Remember Mai?He wouldnt help her when she was hurt.Why should we help him?"Malik almost screamed at Jou.
(note:If you cant force your body to tremble.Sorry sweatdrop I can for some reason..)

Jou barely kept himself from stepping away from Malik and his outburst, reminding himself that it was the guy in the bedroom he should be afraid of, not the one in front of him. Though he could understand where Malik was coming from...
"Well, yeah, I know that! I wasn't gonna try an' help him out or anything like that..." Jou looked over at the trembling figure again. "I was jus'... wonderin' what all the noise was about, that's all." His eyes traveled lazily around the bed until a flash of gold caught his eye. 'How much power does that thing have now...?' he thought. 'You'd think he'd be controlling minds by now, if he could. Instead he's just... actin' so pitiful...'
((I'm pretty sure it's possible, so don't worry about it ^^.))

Ryou cringed as Malik yelled to Jou. He carefully moved away from the egyptian a little and looked up to Jou once more. So this was what this was all about? Yami no Malik...and why was he acting so strange? Wouldnt he have thought being that way of degrading? Or atleast thats what he would of thought. And Ryou knew those two acted somewhat similar in a way...but Ryou thought of Yami no Malik being more dislikeful (is that even a word?) then him
((er...i just dont know what to write...^^; wink )

"Its just a trap!If you go in there,he will kill you!"Malik snarled at Jou angrily.The memories of his fathers skinned body,the memories of Battle ship and Alcatraz Duel Tower filled his mind.
Yami Malik whined at Jou pitifully,his body trembling.The millenium rod glowed slightly,trying to take over Malik's mind,but he failed.
Malik hissed at his yami's attempt.
"If you want to go in there,fine.But i'm not going to be the one to rush in and save your head!"Malik shouted,then calmed down slightly.He was still scowling,but he wasn't screaming atleast.

((Heh, happens to me all the time. That's why I wait so long in posting sometimes... it's like a brainfreeze, but worse gonk .
Oh, and don't forget for all evil purposes, that Jou isn't immune to the Rod. I won't consider it God-moding if Marik tries putting a suggestion in his head with it ^^;.))
Jou had ended up stepping away from the angry Egyptian boy, blinking wide-eyed at his anger. "S-sorry... I mean... it's not like I did anything for him yet, right? So don't go gettin' angry at me!" He couldn't help but let his voice get a little louder as well, responding to Malik's hostility. "I don't wanna get anyone upset, alright? If you're that worried, I wont go near him again... not like i'd want to, after that." He gestured down to his leg, the holes and bloodstains still showing on his pants leg.

Ryou frowned at the yelling and took a step downstairs again, to get a little away from the two. His eyes darted back and forth between the two in worry. He wasnt sure what to do. So he stayed out of the way. He didnt want to do anything that would make things worst, or just end up doing something stupid. He put a hand to his arm to make sure it was still there, for there had been no pain for a while now. And it was there...his eyes darkened at the loud voices. He looked to his arm to keep from looking up at them.

Malik hissed in agitation,then whirled around and went downstairs without a word.He didn't even notice Ryou.
Yami Malik whined at Jou again.He desperatly wanted to use the millenium rod's power,but he,for some reason,couldn't do it.The egyptian whimpered and curled up,still shaking,whining and whimpering.
