I want to finish this series of books before school starts up, but I've been neglecting this book I had to read over the summer for my class. I couldn't get past the first chapter without looking for a pointy object so I could stab the thing. Has anyone ever been assigned to read a good book in school?

It was called Cue for Treason, and as books go, it was definitely no Harry Potter but it was still a pretty good book. I actually wouldn't mind reading it again now. eek

It's actually a play, but it's wonderful. And Uncle Tom's Cabin. Very good as well. What are the books you are reading currently?

Like To Kill A Mockingbird or something you can read just to say you read it. But nooo, we get this little book called The Bean Trees about some Kentucky chick who gets knocked up. Hardly any dialogue. I hate books with little dialogue.

The movie was ******** horrible (black and white my a** - how about some COLOR?!), but I thought the book was really good.
