Idea that sparked itself into my head for no apparent reason:
You could have a person who's a writer, he's trying to get a book published, who's plot is uncannily similar to the Island. Said person could be going around asking companies, getting information on genetics so he could have accurate descriptions. Feral labs invited the person to the Island so he can see some of their, "research", the rest is history. ninja

its a Tailless Whipscorpion! don't worry it's perfectly harmless! to humans anyway, not to small insects though... wonder what a human sized one might want to eat?

Hey, I'm a noob here (both to IODM and Gaia, AND to RPing in general) but I've been lurking for a LONG time. I've just skimmed through this thread, and I had a few ideas:
-Moreau's looking for people without connections, right? Well, wouldn't he be monitoring a suicide hotline to get an easy fix? Get convinced not to kill themselves, come to an island for a vacation...and an easy explanation to a family.
-A Buddy Holly situation? I think this might be a little too cliche, but a singer or member of a band getting lost over the Atlantic...
-I think I might have seen this before, but a Rebublican turning into an elephant or a Democrat turning into a donkey
-Someone from Africa or somewhere where people disapear very easily.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks! hey welcome to the fun! those are some good ideas, but Moreau probably would not grab someone who was suicidal, since the whole turning into an animal thing might push them over the edge. you could go with a sort of situation where a college student traveling ends up 'missing' his flight (conventantly leaving early) and is manipulated into replanning their vacation last minute to a tropical island and forgets to mention those plans before getting on that private helocoptor to the island

Well, if you make a quest thread for that character and it gets approved, you could easily pull it off.
Say, they were making a good recovery and suddenly disseappear, Moreau could make it look like a suicide due to a 'relapse'.

Hmm, but the problem with that is if they where suicidal, being turned into an animal would cause 'Re-lapse', unless they're convinced they're transformation is a god thing in some way...

Well, if Ginchael decides to use it, he could probably manage to keep him optimistic. Perhaps he has some injury or impediment that is cured by the serum. So at one point the character may seriously consider suicide, but never actually does so.

Yeah, but don't forget that the island is constantly being surveillenced. If the character does go into a "relapse," they can always be put under suicide watch/have a guard with them at all times?
Maybe a "happy" animal like a dog, or is that too similar to Avery?
Also: I've decided on a different concept for now, so this one is out in the open...

I finally had a good idea for a character, but then I realized there was no practical way for someone to do it unless they had one of the '03 donation items. You see, I had this idea for a DJ, and for no good reason, to end up on the Island. I don't know, maybe the good Doctor wants to have some music for the hip young kids out there or something.
Anyways, animal choice is yours, but yeah, a DJ with a full turntable setup would be cool, but you'll have to supply your own DJ Headphones. Those are only a ton of gold, which is why I'll never get to do the idea myself but I figured someone might, so hey... there you go.

here we go! since everyone is turning into animals, why not bring someone to the island thats a veterinary dentist and make them into an animal too! maybe something with either alot of teeth or no teeth at all! xd
