----->Band Room

Koroji stepped out of the school building, breathing the great air around him. He had been in his office for way too many hours and if he had to put off grading some silly papers, fine. He had just started, he had his lesson plans set. If the band kids wanted to learn over the break, that's awesome, he'd help, but he wasn't gonna work.

He sat on a bench, shutting his eyes and humming away at Holst's Jupiter, richly, his finger conducting the time, a smile on his face, though every now and then, he would crescendo and his face would be full of conviction.

Yes, he was a music nerd, he knew it, and it didn't bother him one bit. And as it kept going, he slowly, silently, fell asleep.

The corner of her mouth quirked slightly in what could be supposed to resemble a smile and she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.

"You do seem to behave a bit differnt when we're around a bunch of people. But hey, could just be me, ne?" she shook her head.

"I dunno about the festival, though. I wasn't here for the last one, came in about five months ago. From what I've heard, it's supposed to be fun. After all, they want this place to have some semblence to a boarding school..." she snorted at her own comment. "But no...I heard from Nanahara-san that there's a dance, and two weeks of vacation. There's games, and contests, and god that girl would not shut up about it." she shuddered. "Her room is right across the hall from mine...I have to keep my door locked just to get my homework done..." a grimace. "This year, she said the theme is traditional. Babbling something about kimono. That's all I know...I try to avoid Nanahara whenever possible. That girl's the biggest gossip on campus."

Miko's coloring deepened so much so, her reddened nose no longer looked out of place on her soft, pink complexion as Nyas tilted her head curiously, posing her question. Well, she was bound to ask eventually, right? Slowly she shook her head. No sense in lying.

"No... I've never been with a girl. But I can't say I ever wanted to before... til I met you." Her blushes deepened still and, not knowing what else to, bried her head under her crossed arms. Had she been wearing a blazer instead of her sailor fuku she'd have hidden her head in there, bringing the ends over her head.

"I don't know what I think. I'm all confused," the teen wailed miserably.

The thing that motified her most was that she was acting this way in front of Nyas. No one would want to be saddled with this sort of hassle. There were plenty of girls who weren't confused that someone as awesome as Nyas could set her sights on. That thought made her want to cry even more, bu she resolved not to and she wouldn't.... at least not until she'd made it to the sanctuary of her room.

Nyas smiled and pulled Miko into a hug. She felt guilty for jumping on the girl. It wasn't an emotion Nyas was familiar with, but at the moment, she didn't care.

"Neko-chan, I'm sorry if I scared you. When you didn't freak out from the kiss I gave you, I kinda figured you liked girls."

She tilted her head, listening to the announcement for a moment.

"Ne, Miko, it's up to you. But how about we go find you a kimono? You don't want to end up in a green one."

She got up and pulled the tiny teen to her feet.

"No more tears, Neko-chan. You're too kawaii to be sitting here crying."

Yuusuke looked around. He knew exactly what he wanted to say, but it wasn't as easy as all that. He swallowed hard, putting himself and Kimi into an awkward silence for a few minutes. He cleared his throat, looking up at her.

"A dance, huh? Sounds like the perfect way for them to distract us from these damned collars...at least we know there won't be any necking there. So who are you going with?"

"H-hai" Miko hopped to her feet, scrubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. She felt like a special kind of idiot, but at least Nyas had not run away screaming. "Maybe I can find a pink one, ne?"

The petite teenager hesitated for only a moment, then threaded her arm through Nyas' bowing her head a bit shyly.

"Let's go... we never got you anything to eat either, ne? Are you still hungry.... I'm sure your exhausted, it's been a long day, ne?"

Kimi fidgeted a bit.

"Me?" she repeated. She'd never really thought about it. She wasn't even so sure if she was going. Parties weren't really her scene. "Well, I don't know. Not too many people talk to me, ne? I don't talk much to them either."

She tilted her head, listening to the announcement over the intercom.

"Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Nanahara does tend to have all the information."

She glanced almost shyly at Yuusuke.

"What about you?"

Nyas grinned.

"Hai, you'd look great in pink."

She was pleased when Miko put her arm through hers.

"Food can wait though, wouldn't want you getting stuck with one of the green ones, ne? I'll be fine."

She began leading the girl towards the school store.

"Oi, Neko-chan, you still want to go to the dance together?" she couldn't but grin hopefully at the tiny girl. She really was adorable.

"Me?" Yuusuke smirked. "How many people do you really see me talking to in this school." He thought carefully on this next sentence, because what he said could mean alot.

"It would take something truly phenomenal to get me to go to that dance, and it just hasn't happened yet," he shrugged. "But I'll let you know when it happens, Kimi-chan," he added, emphasizing her name.

"Oh..." Kimi shrugged. She hadn't been planning on going herself, really. So...why did she feel a bit disappointed? She smiled a bit, trying to shake it off.

"So, what, you don't like to dance or something?" she asked, leaning back against the bench. She tried to avoid looking at him dead on. She didn't want him to know she was disappointed. In truth, she hadn't even realized she'd been hoping.

"Dance?" Yuusuke looked up at Kimi. "Depends on what you call dancing I guess. I used to hang out in Shibuya and Shinjuku, at all the night clubs, so I guess you could say I like dancing...though I don't think they'll allow that sort of dancing at this school."

"What about you?"

Kimi snorted. "Well, at least I'm better at dancing than playing the clarinet. I used to go out every now and then with my...with this guy I used to be with." she frowned and looked away, mentally kicking herself for the slip.

"Well, as long as clothes stayed on, I don't think there would be too much of a problem..." she snorted again at the thought. "And there aren't too many kids who could sneak liquor in, so we don't have to worry about anyone getting drunk and stripping." she shrugged.

<---Michale's dorm

Michale shoved his hands in his pockets, the smoldering end of his last cigarette dangling from his lips. Keiran had vanished, and he hadn't seen Ganju. So, he was out here looking for either of them.

He felt his hands trembling, and he shoved them deeper into his pockets. Damn. With those weird dreams, why now was he having a guilty conscience? Whatever. It would pass. It awlays did. He wanted to make sure Ganju was still interested. He knew Keiran wouldn't let him down.

"Ganju-kun, I'm hungry... and it's getting chilly... can't we go inside now?"

"Stop whining..."

"But we missed dinner! And my feet hurt..."

"Then I guess you should have worn sneakers instead of those stupid a** heels, ne?"

"What?! You told me to wear these! Yu said they were sexy!"

"Stop yellin', baka. So what if I said they wer sexy... that ain't mean ya had to put 'em on. Now shut up, I'll go inside when I'm good and ready." Ganju took a long drag off his cigarette before blowing a cloud of smoke into the pretty blonde girl's face, smirking as she coughed and fanned the offensive cloud away. "You don't like it, nobody's keepin' ya.... just don't go thinkin' you'll be gettin no freebies from me later, ne? You'll have to do more than some lil ol' blow----oi oi oi, what we got here. Looks like my good buddy is lookin' for me..."

"G-Ganju-kun... you don't mean what you were sayin' did you? I mean, You'll still--"

"Shut, up, baka, before I shut you up. You're getin' on my nerves! ganju whirled around and shoved the girl in the direction of the school. "Beat it. Find me tomorrow, I'm tired of lookin' at you."

"But Ganju-kuuuun---"

"GO!"

"You're so mean! I can't believe I used to think you were nice!" The girl spun on her heel and ran back inside the school in a huff. Dammit, now where was she going to find some liquor...

"You were 'sposed to, stupid," he murmured under his breath in that lazy drawl of his, shoving his hands into his pocets as he made his way to Michale's sullen form.

"Hey there, pal... lookin' for somebody?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 15, 2006 2:02 pm

Michale whirled around, his face startled and angry, but it relaxed as soon as he saw Ganju.

"Oi, don't sneak up on a guy like that, ne?" he said smoothly. He masked his inner disquiet, and straightened up, keeping his hands deep in his pockets. Ganju would know at a glance why he was shaking, and that might lead to a whole trend of questions that Michale wasn't in the mood to answer.

"As a matter of fact, I was looking for you. Wanted to see how you liked that little demonstration."

Ganju lips split into a wide, gap toothed grin, cigarette clenched tightly between the surprisingly white chompers.
"The little blonde kid? Aa, he was fun... follows direction real nice like. Reminds me of my old girlfriend, ne, even kinda looks like her. he'd be reall cute in one of those fukus.... practically looks like a girl already." He reached up to remove the cigarette from his lips and, exhaling a cloud of smoke, glanced down at the watch round his skinny wrist.

"So....I bet that ain't all ya wanted. But it's gettin' kinda late, we shold get inside, ne? No sense in gettin' shocked, I ain't into the pain thing, myself, don't know 'bout you..."
