"I didn't say my situation is worse, I just said that you are so miserable," she said, almost inaudible, "I hate watching miserable people...." Not to mention the fact that for some reason it bother's me that he's the one who's miserable..... she thought to herself, still vaguely confused as to why this was true.

"Hah, I'm not miserable. I'm me. There's nothing better than that," he said. The rueful smile became a smirk as he glanced sidelong at the girl for a moment, leaning back on his hands. "What you mean is that you hate watching people you think are miserable."

Iro huffed for the hundredth time and rolled her eyes. "I still say my only regret is asking you for help, and your sarcasm is only making it worse." She turned to look at him and met his eyes.

Rose looked at the priest. "My amulet can use the mana to heal with....but I myself am not able to use mana. I use my amulet to store the mana and use the mana....
Serenity sat outside and stared at the sun. She hated her sister sometimes...even though she loved her.

Ryushi's smirk widened into a true smile for an instant, then he let his eyes drift away, back towards the water, smirking again. "It beats having a dagger in your chest," he said, shrugging before he added, "Or in any other part of your body, for that matter."

Iro found herself blushing at Ryu's smile and turned away quickly, tying her black hair back and pulling her hood over her head. "I have a serious question, Ryu," she said quietly, "do you beleive me?"

"Mmhmm. If you wish, you may stay at the temple for the duration of your employment. We may only offer you room and food, though, no money," he said. "We only ask that you willingly help whoever comes, to this temple for help, no matter who or what they may be, and that you remain curteous to all."
"It's my job to suspend disbelief at the moment," Ryushi stated bluntly. "If I say I believe you, that makes me a biased judge, and thus, and unfit one," he said, mocking the tone that priests lectured in.
"And for the matter, I don't think you're lying."

Iro sighed slightly, so low he couldn't have heard her. "I'm scared, Ryu. I know that YOU'RE my judge, but what if my people don't care what you say either way and kill me as soon as I walk amoungst them again?"

"You will be rooming with the female acolytes. There are only a few of them, so there should be plenty of room. Please keep it neat," he said, gesturing to the quarters with his right arm.
Ryushi paused for a moment, thinking. "They wouldn't dare. Not with me handing the words down. And if you're that concerned, you could move somewhere else. I'm sure your woman-killing abilities are wanted somewhere," he joked.

Rose smiled at the priest and looked at the room. "Thankyou this room is buetifull...and do not worry I will keep it clean." Rose looked back toward the door at where her sister was now and then looked back at the priest. "I shall be back shortly...I must tell my sister I will be staying here..." Rose walked away and as she got to the door she noticed her sister watching her.
Serenity sighed and walked over to Rose. "You don't have to tell me anything....I heard. Rose while you are helping out here I will earn us some money with well my own talent...which I am sure you know what it is. Serenity stared at the sky and sneered. "Rose I know you won't like this but I will be gone for a while...maybe a month maybe only a few weeks or days..." Serenity looked toward the docks and thought to herself. The girl (Iro) I remember there was a reward for her...but I must keep her alive...the poster said there would be no reward for her is she was dead. They probally want to have her suffer for her crimes.
Serenity smiled back at Rose and shrugged. "But it won't be too long...so don't worry."
Rose stared at Serenity confused. She could tell Serenity was hiding something but knew it was best not to nose around. "Okay well I hope you hurry back." Rose rummaged in the bag and brought out a bag of clothes and a large silk bag of gold. "Your gold is in the bottom...I shall keep mine with me." She put the gold at the bottom of her clothes and walked back in the temple. She walked over to the priest. "Sorry for taking so long", Rose said apolegitically.

Iro looked back at Ryu once again, tears welling in her eyes at his joke. "I'm sorry," she said, trying to stop herself from becoming hysterical again. She took a deep breath and stared into space for a moment. "I was supposed to be a healer," she said, thinking out loud, "My teacher, she was teaching me to heal, to stop pain....but, when she started causing pain, I became lost.....I was supposed to heal....not kill...."

"Of course you were," he said, muttering. He took the weight off his hands and started to lean forward, draing his knees in. "And I was meant to be the ideal son to the ideal Head Priest. Look at me."
He shrugged, tossing a bit of hay into the water and watching it float behind them.

"That what trials are for," he said, again mocking the teachings of those who trained him. "They make you think of only one thing, make you realize something. You realize what you learn afterwards, or find something new about yourself. Or some other crap like that."
He shook his head, remembering that neither had slept through the entire night. "Go rest. I'll wake you up when we arrive," he said, looking towards the shore." The temple and the surrounding city were passing by them. Now it was only sparse farmland.
