After all the previous little hurts, this latest one was tiny and easy to shrug off. The pair were quickly back flaming down thread.

The blue pair kept pace with their wingmates as they swept across the skies. The sun flashed in their eyes from time to time from between the clouds. It's going to get dark soon.The storm front is moving in. Despite having the sun flash suddenly in her eyes, Jynnat saw a glint of silver against the grey clouds. Look! Right there! Begath turned and flamed with a roar. The strand lit up. Good job!

L'iand and Aryath watched with satisfaction as nothing went wrong for a few seconds and the Thread burned just as it should.

Harbringers are doing an excellent job of clearing Thread, the blue commented as he flew into another break in the fall. It was going well so far.

Begath was flying well and had a good flame. So were his wingmates. The blue was feeling chipper and light-hearted for the moment despite their surroundings. He spotted one of his wingmates, Zetigeth, go for a large sheet of Thread, and then spotted the three clumps heading right for the battered brown. The blue instantly knew which plan to put into motion. Hold on! He cheerfully called to his rider with glee. Jynnat grinned and tightened her hold on the straps.
The blue wheeled around and came in fast, fire erupting in spits from his mouth as he gave a twirl. He incinerated all three clumps with ease and rescued the brown from a potentially bad scoring. Well done Begath! He gave a flip of his wing in a jaunty salute to Zetigeth and returned to his position. Surely Z'tir and Siloth saw that right?!

Still high from his save, Begath struggled valiantly when the wind picked back up and tried to toss him and his rider here and there. He did his best, but he slipped from position a time or two. Jynnat encouraged him on as best she should while holding on for the wild ride. It wasn't nearly as bad as some of his stunts.

Ly'bur was glad when the call came to shift the wing down. They needed a bit of a breather and he had to feed Hinburath more firestone. In doing so, they missed a tiny piece of Thread. Hinbruath found it when it connected to his wingsail and started chewing it up. He took them Between to eased the pain, and when he came out it was with fire in his mouth.

Hinburath spotted another large clump. He turned and aimed at it. Unleashing his flames to burn it up. The wind kicked right towards him and pushed some of the Thread away from his fire and right towards him. Between! His rider called a warning. Didn't need to tell the brown twice as he took them to safety and higher up from the wayward clump. Someone down below would get it.

It felt good to be back in the game, and the brown dragon was only to happy to destroy the clumps and strand that fell upon them. Unfortunately, the wind was still unkind... and though he hopped Between to avoid his vulnarable stomach from getting hit, his tail took the pain.
Thankfully, it was still half-numb from numbweed. All was well.

The brown turned his head back to get another large piece of firestone. Unfortunately, he got his tongue in the way as he went to chew the piece and bit painfully down on his own tongue instead. Hinburath let out a yelp of pain. That smarted! Ly'bur winced in sympathy. Well shaft it all.

Sucurith gave a sharp squeal of pain when Thread glanced against him, but with a quick word from Amaretti, ducked between. Thankfully the cold of between killed it swiftly, leaving just a small scratch on the blue's hide.

The burn is painful, but you think you'll be okay! Moderate Damage -7 HP. They also now suffer a Painful status for the next 2 turns. This will negate any gained XP, and cause double damage if the prompt includes damage (or has you roll for damage).
Both rider and dragon were doing well. Venandith felt good, Zyamel felt good... They were doing better, and she was certain they had turned a new leaf. But then, the unexpected happened--
A wingmate appeared in front of them suddenly, flaming. Before Venandith had a chance to drop, or hop Between, the fire engulfed him! He had enough sense to twist, so as to spare Zyamel the brunt of the flame---but the brown dragon did bellow in pain. His chest and right foreleg caught the worst of the flame.
Well, that was unexpected. Clearly, someone's jealous of my good looks. The dragon tried to shrug off the burn--but oh, it hurt. And if he kept his foreleg pressed particularly close to his crisped chest, so be it. What did he need it for while flying?
