As Ralir began to step back to avoid the beast's thrashing, he could certainly feel bits of its body chipping off. There was something more happening now, though, which he had certainly not felt the last time he'd driven his horn into the beast. Was anyone else...? Oh, no. That light looked exactly like the light that'd come off of those trees when Ysalone and Tempest had gone picking at them. " Look out!" Ralir shouted, for the benefit of everyone else in the cavern here. " That energy feels just like those trees." Again, it didn't seem to affect him. That wouldn't necessarily be true for anyone else, though, and he thought it important to make sure everyone was warned. Quote: gift not yet used but available

Looking all over the glow of his horn aluminates an accent drawing on the cave wall. Moving closer Adahy can see what looks to be a tree of some kind and that shape under it. "That looks like one of the crystals I found." Adahy says with a puzzled look. "Oh and maybe those are accent noulicorns Ada." Furry Tail says for Adahy's back trying to help as best e could in this moment. "Ya it could be but how is that supposed to help us now?" he question now really looking for answer since no noul could give it. The two nouls form the group that had followed down the right path, both found images but they are as helpful as Adahy. Not at all. They would just have to keep looking until they found something that would be helpful. And fast. The Wanderlust need help out of the water before anything more could befall them. Or worst befall use before we can help them. If they could free the wanderlust and get back to the left tunnel maybe they could all be safe as one. Why they had separated was running through Adahy's mind now even after Viltalta had told them to stay together. But now was not the time for why or what ifs? They still had a mission to work on right I front of them and that was no more then a distraction of doubts and worry. Shacking those thought form his mind, Adahy begins searching around again. Something catches the glow of his horn but what he is not sure. "I need to move closer." He things as he try's to see if this will be more helpful then the last thing. He really hoped so because the wall where echoing all kinds of chaos and it sounded like the group needed help. Quote: Banked +1 roll Not using. +1 for using glow. Ysalone gasped. "A stone!!" She picked it up and set it down near the water's edge, where the water's blue glow and the one from her horn revealed the image on its surface. It said very little though, and on its own, didn't seem to make any sense. The doe sighed, but felt her efforts had been rewarded by the discovery. That was enough to make her feel heartened. She hurried away again. "There's got to be more clues around here. We've got to keep looking! Keep track of everything you see!"Quote: Action: Searching for clues+1 for Glow? Standing back for a moment, sides heaving as crimson seeped from the wound he had been inflicted. His legs already shook, but he couldn't let this slow him down. He assumed that the others had found Wanderlust and their group. So it would be up to them to finish this beast off. When the bucks cracked open the beast to reveal the energy that gave it life. That strange energy seemed like the same that came from the trees. He was just too far away from the beast to have any affect of it. Moving to the far side of the beast to take a crack at its other side. taking a breath to steady his nerves, Draven took a step, then another before he was a near full speed. Leaping he aimed to ram into the beast's side with his horn. He could only hope to make some damage. [[ Banked roll +1, Unused Injured -2 rolls FIGHT!]]

As another blow contacted with the creature Tsarine noted the Crystaline shell shattered releasing that blue light that sapped his magic before. Instantly, his eyes clenched shut in dread. Suddenly, his head felt woozy leaving him to stumble backwards from his magic being sapped from him. Panic started encompassing Tsarine till he fought it down into submission. The feeling was something he'd never wish, even upon another noul he ever encountered that possibly deserved it. His soft gentle light slowly faded away leaving him helpless but still managing. He had heard Ralir's warning but, in a flash it was too late. Ayala digging herself in deeper to his coat was a bit unbearable though he understood she was trying her best to console, give him confidence. Somehow she was hanging on for dear life while still being a positive influence on his own life. Turning to face the beast he snorted though all his determination poured into keeping himself from gaining fear like in the forest. First things first was defeating this creature then finding the others. His magic would return to him once this was all over. Tsarine WC: 188

Somehow Moon Mist was still unscathed. The lashing tail and missed her, she wasn't pinned or bitten. Luck. Pure luck was on her side. She gulped a deep breath, only to catch Isra rushing in. Timing was everything, wasn't it. She spared a glance for Isra. "I hope you're here to help!" She tried to shout over the din, as her companions chipped away at the strange beast. She tried to back herself up and charge at it again, hoping to distract it long enough to free Viltalta. wc: 88 twc: 1751 Quote: Moon Mist, still trying to fight and failing.

Ralir reared up, resolving to keep going. It looked like someone else had borne the brunt of the damage from exposure to these crystals. Just what were they?
He didn't want to find out here.
He concentrated again, trying to remember the angle that had seemed to work best for getting those little chips of crystal off of this behemoth's body. If he just tried again - he wasn't sure how close was safe, for these crystals, but then again, they hadn't really affected him so far.
He would certainly use his gift while he still could, though it was a little difficult to truly produce enough heat to be effective. Things got a little softer when they were warm, though. This beast seemed more stone than life, so perhaps it wouldn't have the nerves to feel anything, but that crystalline structure might mean that it retained heat long after Ralir did. Surely that might give Ralir at least a bit of an edge, and it'd be even more of one if he ramped up the temperature quickly, so that it didn't know to move away.

Tempest moved through the cavern trying to find any clues as to how to free Wanderlust and their party. She heard Ysalone excitedly mention a stone and glanced over towards the doe. She was setting it down near the lake. The buck, Adahy, was conversing with his jack hop over strange markings on the cavern wall. Tempest could only see part of it but she thought she saw a drawing that looked like the stones a couple of the nouls found earlier.
Both nouls could use glow, a solar ability. Tempest was struggling to see much of anything in the gloom. Her hoof connected with a stone on the ground and she gasp slightly from the twinge that went up her leg. She tapped her hoof before nudging the stone, it wasn’t part of the cavern floor and shifted easily. She manipulated it towards any light she could get and saw there was some kind of marking on it.
“I think I may have found something,” Tempest said loudly enough for Ysalone and Adahy to hear her. She picked it up and trotted over to Ysalone by the pool of water and set it down next to her stone. In the light of her glow, Tempest could see the drawing of a tree upon the stone. “It’s a tree. I wonder why someone drew a tree on a random rock. Maybe it’s not so random?” Tempest looked over at Ysalone. “There’s got to be more clues around here. I can’t see very well in here though.” Tempest squinted her eyes and moved over towards Adahy to see what he had found. Tempest’s ears swiveled and she felt random vibrations through the floor.
“Does anyone else feel that?” Tempest asked suddenly. “Could the others be in danger?”

THE LEFT PATH Even injured, Draven is a force to be reckoned with! He pierces the beast’s other side, sending shards of crystal scattering. A burst of blue light accompanies the injury, but as Draven is giftless, he’s immune to its effects. Unfortunately Moon Mist’s charge isn’t enough to distract the beast. It snarls in her direction and whips its tail toward her. With some grace, Moon Mist manages to avoid the attack. This leaves an opening for Ralir! His warmth concentrates on a cracked section of crystal and makes it shatter like glass, exposing more of the blue light. The beast pauses, heaving while the light pulses from its injuries. It raises its head to the ceiling and lets out a thundering roar, accompanied by a crackle of Viltalta’s lightning. Pieces of crystal fly off the floor and reattach to the beast, covering the exposed blue light. It’s healed itself somehow! “I’m here to help!” Isra shouts in answer to Moon Mist’s question. More blue light swarms over his horn and explodes outward in a flurry of pelting rain, covering the beast’s eyes. It’s blinded again! CRYSTAL BEAST: 50% HEALTH : BLINDED 1 turn THE RIGHT PATH Adahy spots something just beneath the surface of the water. As he peers closer, he can tell it’s some sort of square podium with a strange symbol. There are three shallow holes around the symbol, of the same size and shape as the stones the others found! Quote: To complete the puzzle, you need to find all of the correct stones and place them in the correct order on the podium. Ysalone spots something smooth beneath some fallen stalactites. She pushes them away to reveal another stone! Tempest spots another stone nestled in the side of the cavern wall!

With a level of grace typically beyond her, Moon Mist barely managed to avoid being thwacked with the tail. She braced herself for a moment, panting. Isra's response wasn't lost on her. And he certainly did seem to be doing some good. Breathing heavily, she took a shocked step back as the beast seemed to manage to heal itself. "Well ... that's not good." Viltalta's lightning and Isra's light seemed to be having some level of effect on the crystal beast. She was starting to feel a little guilty. All she'd done was flail around. Moon Mist squared herself up, getting ready to attempt a run on the beast, hoping to knock a chunk off. wc: 114 twc: 1865 Quote: Moon Mist, being sucessful???

Ysalone hurried to bring the new stone back to the water's edge, where they had collected the others. She stared at them, curious. A noul was drawn on the first, followed by a tree, a thing that resembled the three-horned creature she'd seen in the vision, and then a crystal. The doe looked from the collection to the sign that had been found on the wall, and then back to the three round divots in the ground. "I think... maybe... these three?" she said, pointing to the stones with the tree, crystal, and horned beasts. "I'm not... too sure about the order though. It's not a strictly linear arrangement, is it?"Quote: Action: +1 for Glow? Banked: +1 to a single future roll of choice Items: -
