"Alright, will do." Zephyr sent the text, grabbed some food and refreshed his coffee before making the trek across campus to the school. Making his way up to the roof, he hummed to himself idly and wondered if this game that he was in was around the entire time, or if this was made to test him and him alone.
With a sigh, he shook the thought from his head of the perpetual death game and moved to open the door to the roof.

When Zephyr got to the roof, he could see Oblivion off to the side, having grabbed Hexxis by the wrist as she had been about to leave. Or at least looked that way. Oblivion pulled her hard toward him to pull her into a hug that she didn't look like she even wanted to be involved in. He whispered something into her ear and she frowned deeply. Neither had noticed Zephyr had come up to the roof.
"....stop...you're hurting me..." she spoke monotone like as she kept her eyes averted.
"....why are you so happy? What happened... where were you last night. I looked for you, but you weren't out. Its unlike you."
"I decided it was not beneficial to game."
Oblivion narrowed his eyes. "Can't help but noticed Zephyr was nowhere to be seen last night either..."
"Bold of you to make assumptions without facts..."
Oblivion growled. "You are not allow to see him... don't even talk to him! He's the enemy and you know it... don't ******** with me, Hexxis..."
Hexxis hesitated, then frowned and nodded. Once she had, Oblivion let go of her.

Zephyr stood in the doorway, watching with slightly wide eyes, his hand that was holding the coffee gripping the cup tight enough that it was threatening to break into two.
Should he interrupt, should he intervene?
Taking a breath, he quickly tried to move out of the way and hide in any way possible to make sure that they didn't see him. As much as he wanted to deck Oblivion in the face, he knew that this wasn't the right time.
Yet, his heart ached for Hexxis, seeing her happiness over sharing the movie and essentially a cuddle completely shattered by the one she was bound to. Shaking his head, he continued to attempt to hide. He didn't want to risk Oblivion hurting her any more.

Oblivion sighed and gave a small smile that didn't reach his eyes. "You know I'm doing this to protect you. He's going to tell you anything to get your guard down.... you are the Team A Leader... and he's part of Team B. If you let him, he will end up killing you. And that's the last thing I want, Hexxis..." he spoke a bit more sincere but his eyes said otherwise.
Hexxis just kept staring downward. "I understand..." she seemed to hesitate, open her mouth to speak then didn't say anything.
"Good...." Oblivion shoved his hands into his pockets. "I guess you're just going to hang out up here like always then..."
Hexxis turned to look out into the horizon then nodded. "..mhmm.." she made a noise of confirmation.
"Fine. Just check in before the sunset. Tonight we eliminate Team C. So don't let your guard down." he spoke then moved to leave through the door into the stairwell back down into the school.
Hexxis just stared out over the grounds from her position quietly, deep in thought.

Zephyr waited awhile, waiting to make sure that Oblivion was gone far enough before he quietly came out from his hiding spot. Standing near the door, he took a breath while looking at her.
"It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside... I'm not one of those who can easily hide. I don't have much money, but boy if I did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live..." He started the song, wanting to cheer her up a little bit.
Taking a step towards the middle of the roof, he continued.
"If I was a sculptor, but then again no, or a man who makes potions in a traveling show. Oh I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do... my gift is my song and this one's for you."

Hexxis turned around with wide eyes when he began to sing, her expression clearly showing she was questioning how long he had been there watching, if he had seen what happened. But his song, the movie, his voice. She placed a hand over her chest, taking a step toward him, a faint smile starting that only appeared to grow even if her eyes were a little sad. He continued and she finally smiled and took several steps forward and simply hugged him tightly, letting the wind blow around them gently.
She lingered in an embrace for a few seconds before pulling back a little and staring downward into his eyes. "......even if i'm not her... my feelings are still real...." she whispered. "I've run scenarios in my mind over and over and thought about it and I...... I think.... I'm in love with you..." she admitted quietly."....so.... i just hope... you get your wish..." she added with a hint of a frown, hesitated as her eyes searched his face for only a brief moment, then slowly leaned down to kiss him gently.

Zephyr hugged back, wanting to comfort her, she looked so pained, so hurt from everything that had been going on during this entire death game. He hated this death game, he really did. Even though he killed people for a living, this was a whole different world. Yet, here he was.
Staring up into Hexxis' eyes as she spoke, Zephyr listened to her, about to speak before he was kissed. He didn't pull away, though he was a tiny bit shocked by it, even if this was Hexxis.
Pulling away from the kiss after a moment, not out of fear or disgust, but out of concern, "But what about Oblivion..? He's going to find out one way or another, and I don't want him to do anything rash... I've seen what people do...." Zephyr trailed off, honestly worried for her life - even though he was bound to kill her himself if no one else did it during this stupid game.

Hexxis frowned as he pulled away, listening to his concern. She looked away and just tried to formulate the words in her head... "I have always felt for Oblivion...... always.... in fact, I couldn't remember when or how we even got together... I can't remember a time we were happy, or when he made me feel wanted or loved....." she answered and blinked back tears. "I...don't even care... if he knows. That's how you make me feel... like I could throw my life away for just one happy day. To act like a fool despite what I know, just to be with you.... And I don't even know why..."
Hexxis stared away in thought before she looked to him. "....I will help you..." she announced in a whisper. "....you need to kill him to win... I will help you... and then... I'll go after Team C myself, take out as many of them as I can before I die." she offered seriously. "If I die... I still have faith in Melody's wish.... and then you will also get your wife back...." Hexxis took a deep breath. "......then...we can all be free of this game."

Zephyr opened his mouth, wanting to tell Hexxis he had an idea of why she felt that way about Oblivion - about what he had done to get her. But, he closed it, figuring it might be for the best. She didn't deserve to know that, at least not right now. Maybe... maybe when things were better, maybe she'd be able to know then.
"If... if you're okay with that.." Zephyr whispered, moving to hug Hexxis, just wanting to make sure that this is what she wanted, "If it's what you want to do, then we can do that, but I want to make sure that you're okay with it... because you deserve a say in it too - not just being forced to comply to anothers wishes."

Hexxis' breath hitched when he hugged her again and then she relaxed, slowly nodding. "Yes.... it's the path I choose... as the most logical choice, I decided it's what I want." she confirmed.
"Oblivion wants us to ambush Team C tonight... so when the sun goes down, he will meet with me here... and I will make the first attack on him. He will likely dodge it, but that will be your opportunity to stab him through the heart. From there, I suggest you pursue Team C for any survivors after I ambush them..." she instructed. "Please keep safe.... both of you... and tell her... I forgive her" she closed her eyes and sighed, pulling away with a frown. "....thank you... for giving me a say in this.... it's been a first... and it's surprisingly liberating.." she smiled and turned to leave if he had nothing left to say.

Zephyr nodded, moving to hold her hands as she spoke, just wanting to try and remember the instructions as thoroughly as he could to make sure it would go down as smoothly as it possibly could.
"I'll let her know." Zephyr smiled, though he could feel his heart ache as she mentioned it was the first time she had a say in anything. Watching her leave, he took a moment.
"I'm sorry you were never given more chances to be yourself and having options to... well, to just have options." He called out.

Hexxis glanced back and smiled a little bittersweetly. "If you and Melody win... maybe I will get more chances... when our family is whole again..." she spoke a little hopeful then moved to leave and almost ran straight into Melody as she opened the door in a hurry.
Hexxis blinked in surprise, staring at her sister then moved and hugged her.
Melody was completely caught off guard by this, shooting a confused look to Zephyr.
Hexxis pulled away and then left without a word, returning to seriousness.
Melody looked to Zephyr once Hexxis was gone. "...what in the world was that???" she asked and then approached Zephyr. "I guess that explains dipshit in the hallway stopping to talk to me..... Asked about you, told him you were with me last night out of safety of the game after losing a member. Jeez, I hate that guy, he's such a pain in the a**.... Anyway... you and Hexxis look friendly... picking up where you left off last night?" she asked with a grin.

Zephyr watched the two hug before Hexxis left, leaving Melody and himself ontop of the roof. Though, when Melody seemed to insinuate that he and Hexxis were doing something possibly lewd, he laughed a little bit, rubbing the back of his head a little.
"She apparently likes me because I'm actually paying attention to her emotions and giving her choices.." Zephyr looked off to the side off the roof for a moment, "And because she wants to keep having these options... she's going to be helping us tonight. She's going to be meeting Oblivion up here before ambushing team C... she's going to attack Oblivion so we can kill them.. and then she'll ambush C.... so we can win." the last part he said with a bit of sadness, looking to Melody and then down to the floor.
"She wants us to win.."

"Ouch... guess that confirms a lot about her relationship with Oblivion..." she muttered guiltily. She sighed and listened, and as he spoke, she stared at him, eyes widening. "Are you... being for real?"
This was a lot to take in. What had changed that suddenly Hexxis apparently was not only forfeiting but helping them win. Was it a trap? ".....are you sure she's being serious... that she really is going to help us and not just going to ambush and slaughter us???" she frowned.
"If all that is true, we actually have a good chance of winning this whole thing." Melody confirmed. "......so we wait for her to attack Oblivion and then kill him.... sounds simple enough."

"Considering I had heard Oblivion telling her to not let her guard down around me, it is possible, so I would probably be cautious about the whole thing, more so as there's no set guarantee - but I still would like to see if this is correct... because if it is, then..." Zephyr sighed, running his hands through his hair, "I want it to be true, but we do have to play it safe... we should both try and be as stealthy as possible when we do come up here later tonight, just to make sure that if anything, they don't notice us... and if she does attack him...then, well I guess we'll have our answer?" he shrugged.
Starting to walk about the roof, he thought as he moved about, "The other option is that I could stay up here until sundown, and then just hide within the shadows and try and overhear any conversation that they have, see if it is just a ruse or not."
