Shaking her head, Kagerou assured Maeko, "That shouldn't be necessary. Now, please relax." Bells on her wrist ringing, Kagerou took a moment to cast a few hand signs and then placed a glowing hand upon Maeko's head. Her chakra probed into the internal structure of Maeko's cranium.
Kagerou blinked, the only sign of anything abnormal. Smiling, she carefully scanned Maeko's head with her hand, then slowly brought it down over the rest of her body. It was a thorough scan, her palm hovering millimeters above Maeko's skin as she almost painstakingly slowly moved over and around. Once she reached down to Maeko's feet, Kagerou returned back to her head and spent a few more moment upon it. She then lifted her hand, but the technique that caused it to glow remained active.
"If you could, Maeko, please turn around for me," Kagerou asked, and once Maeko obliged, she would once again hover her hand over Maeko's body. Although, this time, she focused primarily on her head, trailing only once down her spine to check for any problems with the greater nervous system. At the very end, Kagerou gently laced her fingers through Maeko's hair to come into contact with her scalp, which she held for a few moments before releasing and stepping away. The glow of chakra faded from Kagerou's hands.
Kagerou smiled, and almost too kindly, she let Maeko know, "Well, I'm done for now. I think I can suitably say that I've gathered enough evidence for your release, under the insanity defense, which is to say, that you are mentally unfit to take responsibility for your crimes, and any actions. This does mean you will likely be suspended from all shinobi duties until we can ascertain that you are mentally fit to take responsibility for your actions, but at least, you will be getting help, instead of being isolated in a jail cell. Unfortunately... For now, I will need to ask you to return to the cell with the guards while I report my findings and the bureaucracy does its work. I do not have the authority to release you."
Maeko felt that hand against her Visage, feeling her push chakra deep inside her noggin'. It felt warm, and in a way pleasant, almost relieving a pressure on her head. As the hand went down, examining over her body she'd try to keep from giggling, the feeling had her squirming a bit. The chakra of course, there was no real contact with the skin. When she was instructed to roll, she rolled, on her belly now. When the examination was over, she pulled herself up, so she was sitting on the bed. Listening close she nodded at her conclusion. None of it made her feel any better. She didn't feel like she should get off scott free, and knew that someone else would still decide her fate. She stood and gave Kagerou a deep bow, before saying. "Thank you so much, Kagerou-Sa...Dr. Kagerou. I will go willingly. Thank you for helping me start to fix things." With that she headed towards the door, gave a knock and when it opened, offered her hands to the guards. They escorted her back to her cell where she would soon lay down and take a much needed nap.
Dance of the Larch: Absolute Defense [ A ] This is a supplemental technique. The user first prepares themselves by channeling chakra throughout all of their bones. Then, when the user is struck with a tai or bukijutsu technique, the user is able to have a plate of bones first protect the area which was struck equal rank to the strike provided. Then, the user launches a counter attack, which converts the opponentโs strength stat which they used the technique into the speed of which the bone blades rise out of the user to impale the target. Can only be used up to the rank the user has access to. Cost one activation to block the strike, and another to launch the counter strike. If the user only has one activation left, then the block will occur, but not the counter attack. If the user has no activations left, then this ability does not work. This stance last for 6 post. Wide eyes turned to Kenshin as he asked for more information about the fellow he casually name dropped. "You mean you don't know sir?" He asked rhetorically. "He's been a fairly common name in the precinct for the past few months. He's apparently some big name player of that, "Yu-ga-yo" game the Kage co-sponsors." Kobayashi then realized Kenshin may not even know what the card game was. "In case you don't know," he cushioned, as to not offend the man, "Yu-ga-yo is that card game where all of the cards were based off of the various higher ranking ninja of Arashi. I don't play it, but my kids at home do. Gonzo also played with a few of the boys here. Actually now that I think about it..." Kobayashi reached into his pocket. "I think I took some of the cards away from my kid since he hit his sister do I have..." He stopped when he felt something. "I do!" He said as he took out the cards. "Here. You can see for yourself." He said as he showed Kenshin the cards. A lot of the names he would recognize, but they were designed to be different from their original source. For example, Toso's card was dubbed. "The Cowardly King - Todo"."There's a place in the gust district where people play this game. I've even heard Gonzo say that Arashi's fan guy was there also." He said. His eyes became curious as he looked at the two of them. "You guys can't think an adult who plays a children's card game can have anything to do with this, can you?" He asked.

โฑโฐโฑ Kobayashi answered his question before Kojiro could chime in which forced the captain to bristle slightly. Kenshin's eyebrow then furrowed when he heard what was being descirbed. On some level it seemed obvious to him that such a ridiculous diversion as a card game would be sponsored by the current Arashikage. He examined the various cards using his dojutsu. His eyebrows then tensed in frustration at the various insulting illustrations. "How dare all of you peddle a card that's disparaging of our leader?" Despite Kenshin's own distaste for the man it was required for the order of their society for the Arashikage to be respected. Not that Toso was giving them many reasons to respect him in Kenshin's view but his loyalty to his Kage was absolute nonetheless. Kenshin shook his head judgementally before continuing. "We're done here, go to the next room for final questioning and then you should be free to go." The captain ordered as he picked up the files and motioned for Kojiro to follow. He stepped out of the interrogation room before handing the file off to his subordinate interrogators. They would escort Kobayashi to the next room for final questions. Although Kenshin had what he needed to proceed for now there were additional loose ends that needed to be tied up procedurally. Once he was out of the interrogation chamber he looked at Kojiro. "I'm going to the Gust District and you're permitted to join me. A children's card player isn't much of a lead but it's our first and only." Kenshin then began walking toward the Gust District. He was now like a bloodhound with even the slightest scent and he was determined to find it.

Her work here done, Kagerou left the police station after watching Maeko return to her cell. She paused at the door, and glanced back. Concern creased into folds between her eyes. Though, she continued to smile. Maeko was strong, she believed in that. The child will pull through.
Her schedule was to go home and rest, but with this new development, she chose for a change in plans and head to the hospital instead. She would need to find a suitable oncologist to handle Maeko's case once it was processed through the system.

__ Sealing formuli engraved in a particular room Ada had reserved in the CORE headquarters began to brightly glow blue for a moment. A few officers posted in the room for security followed their protocols and saluted the returning Captain and others. The smoke from the summoning technique was promptly ventilated and Ada lowered her hands from the seal they were maintaining since the Golden Light forests they were visiting a moment ago. 'Wulfram, Himawari... and the Flame Emperor. I suppose the rumors of their steady progression to a stable government are true.' The notion regarding the neighboring nation's political turmoil following Kogarashi's rampage was felt with some sympathy. Regardless, the only one officially qualified to speak with them was not made available given the circumstances. Ada turned her attention to Selina, taking a moment to more closely observe her friend then approached. A concerned embrace followed and Ada whispered, "Selina, we're sorry for taking you away from your precious duties, but we are very glad to have you safe." Ada release the younger woman and stepped back. Vala and Yarugi stood at the edge of the room in the same formation as they departed from the Land of Fire. Vala quietly bit her lip, restraining the tiniest bit of envy to get such an affectionate notion from her idol. Yarugi, noticing the ever so slight change in his partner's demeanor just chuckled and nudged her while teasing at a dull whisper, "Jealous? I can give you a hug if you want~" Realizing that he saw her, Vala frowned and nudged him back harder then scoffed, "Hmph!" He just shrugged and stayed quiet. The moment wouldn't last, and he knew it. Soon they'd have their orders. Hopefully it wouldn't be some kind of wild goose chase.
Ada recomposed herself and did as her subordinates predicted. She looked back to Kenshin and saluted, "Objective complete, Captain Kosei. X is on his way to meet us here with an appraisal of the village's security status. I asked him to be on high alert because I suspect that Antioch may have likely used Selina and I as bait to distract you from his true objectives. It is only a suspicion, but given how dangerous this individual is, I also took the liberty of alerting the Arashikage with an update of our assignment." She lowered her salute and waited for his input. At best, she knew that her suspicion could be construed by any of her leaders as speculation- little more than a hunch. However, she was taking precautions outside of the APD's and even Arashigakure's jurisdictions to brace for a worst-case scenario.

When the smoke from their massive reappearance was ventilated out, his sharp eyes darted around the room after giving a salute. He observed Ada and Selina's reunion at a distance before raising an eyebrow and scoldingly staring at Yarugi. A group of law enforcement personnel entered to immediately debrief the captain upon his arrival. A single folder was handed to him with the concise reports of events during his absence as he expected. Kenshin rubbed one of his temples before extending out his hand like he forgot something before a massive mug of black coffee was placed in his hand by a passing secretary. "Thank you..." The captain began sipping his coffee and walking out of the chamber. He bowed his head respectfully in response to Ada's salute as his hands were full. When he sat down in a conference room he would wave for the others to join him. They needed to wait for the new information from the department to come in. In between gulps of disgustingly strong coffee, Kenshin spoke primarily to Ada but to the others as well after he finished reading the briefing. "Nothing. The APD has searched every corner of this village, they've just started conducting surveillance with the ANBU, the leyline's security has been bolstered. I agree with your suspicion that he's been up to something but whatever it is it hasn't been overt enough to be detected...yet." With one more gulp, Kenshin finished the bathtub mug of coffee and placed it back on the table. It was waiting for this criminal to resurface that was the most gut-wrenchingly frustrating part of the process. "Now...we wait." It was clear to all that Kenshin hated the idleness of waiting for all of the pieces to come together but once they did he was ready to jump into action. Kenshin looked over at Ada more directly as he anxiously tapped his fingers on the table. "What happened earlier with that...bird? Before we left. Is anything the matter?" Now that the dust had settled and they needed to wait, he had time to ask her in a somewhat hushed tone about the parrot that seemingly unsettled her earlier. He was somewhat nervous to reveal to her that he noticed her emotions enough to detect that she was uncomfortable by the messenger bird's presence. At least this discussion would get his mind off of the waiting.

An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibฤ ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

Selina remained silent as Kenshin and Ada coordinated the immediate return to Arashigakure. While it seemed like she was in shock, in truth she was pondering the logistics of everything which was going on. Apparently there was a major threat which loomed in the underbelly of Arashigakure. That alone was concerning, but why would it make such public threats against Ada and herself? The two of them were among the strongest of Arashigakure's ninja, and easily recognizable due to the fact that they were part of the squad who took down the great Sandayu. If the threat wanted to make good on their threat then why not strike from the shadows, when they were still an unknown force? Theatrics? While it certainly would be an accomplishment to target and take out two of the most powerful women in Arashigakure after setting up a high alert scenario, it didn't seem practical to her. That was when Ada came in for the hug, no doubt assuming her silence was because of her failed mission.
"Thanks Ada." She whispered back. However, as her friend returned to Kenshin and revealed that the two of them may have been used as a distraction, a powerful, terrifying thought grasp her mind. Panic took command of her as she marched in front of Kenshin and forced him to look directly at her. "Kenshin, this is REALLY important." She said at an alarmingly serious tone. "The dummy who looked like me. Are you sure that it was me? And don't just say yes because it's what you believe. Truly, deeply, look at me, and tell me that the copy you saw was an exact replica, and not in any minor way different." Selina's eyes locked with Kenshin's pale hues as the static fear she felt was a nearly palpable force. Sure enough if Kenshin recalled back to that moment, when the people exploded and the papers flew everywhere, that he would recall that the dummy looked exactly like Selina. However, the posters which fell down, which depicted Selina in a red tailed mermaid costume, did not. The eyes of that poster would be a bit wider than Selinas, and her forehead wouldn't be as defined. Her hair also would have looked like there was a natural part from it being separated for so often. All of these minor details would be things which could be attributed to photo editing and camera tricks. However, if Kenshin really thought about it, then he would realize that Selina was not the Rosewater in danger.

Immediately the group had been returned to the CORE compound and Zeshin was amazed at how it had been performed. He knew of the summoning technique from earlier studies with some of the other ninja around his age, but he didn't know people could be summoned and that a contract did not have to be made. He looked around the room for a moment and even tried to release himself, if it were a genjutsu, but everything seemed find. He broke his concentration to look around the room and eventually turned his gaze toward Ada who he believed was responsible for this. I'll have to find a way to ask her to teach me... That technique could save so many lives.
After only a few brief moments and the cloud from their arrival dissipated, the captain had a cup of coffee in his hand and the pink haired girl began to speak once more, but in a much more serious tone. It was strange to him how things seemed so easy. Shouldn't there be some sort of opposition if this person were targeted? It seems like we were allowed to find her very easily. Zeshin's left hand lifted from his side and rubbed against his cheek and chin for a moment as he let out a very whispered and gentle hum. We have no gathered both Ada and Selina in the same room, too. Should we be more concerned now than before?
Arriving back shortly behind Kenshin, Ada, Vala, Yarugi, Selina, and Zeshin, Kojiro would take up the rear of the formation. As Kenshin partook of a giant mug of coffee, Kojiro would look at the drink with curiosity, wondering the appeal. He would motion to the secretary and request his own small cup to sample, adding a few spoons of sugar. By the time the secretary would return, Kojiro would be moving to the room to discuss the case with the team. A first, deep sip of the hot beverage would first be somewhat bitter to Kojiro. He winced at the aftertaste. As he paused, he reflected on his father's routine in the morning, drinking large mugs as Kenshin did but in the manner Kojiro had his prepared. Forcing down a second gulp, he assured himself that this was what he wanted.
He felt a buzz of revived focus after several minutes, the caffine clearly taking it's hold. Kojiro's hand would take the file that Kenshin had recieved. He examined it, hoping to find what to do next, but nothing. He was also at a loss. " I think I'll take a patrol unit and move through the city. " He said, already having a sharp distaste for sitting still. He had to move. He had to find the danger and eliminate it. Before someone innocent was killed again. He stood, pushing the file away as he ignored the small talk of a bird and had just reached the door and had his hand hovering above the nob as Selina spoke. " D-damn...it" he murmured to himself, ever so softly.
Kojiro hadn't seen the posters that Kenshin had, he hadn't stuck around to collect evidence from the scene that day. But he was more than capable of reading between the lines of Selina's concern. His eyes widened. His heart skipped a beat as he realized. He reflected back to only the prior day when they had come looking for Selina. Celene had been so bright, cheerful, even recognizing them from events in the past. Kojiro had only had the thought cross him mind for an instant then, that he might have wanted more than a passing hello. In Kojiro's mind...nobody could be more innocent. Deep, rich glowing arcs of lightning danced between his palm and the door handle before he firmly snatched the handle and ripped it open, creating a loud thud as the door opened to it's maximum capacity and before it would slam back shut, the white haired Lieutenant would have vanished from their sight.
Kojiro moved down the hallway, green sparks gripping to any surface and giving those who neared him slight static shocks as he applied chakra to his movement to enhance his speed best he could. As he reached the door to the CORE compound he bolted straight out. As he took his first step on the paved road outside the facility the gradual lightning energy that had built up would release in a deafening boom, causing him to vanish from sight, the only trace of his presence was the occasional crackling of lightning energy along the path. Kojiro was headed directly for Celene's residence. He would, no matter the cost to himself, save the innocent, and bring justice at any cost.

" A similar letter would be sent to her place of residence. There were no pleasantries in this letter and no doubt this was because the last on that list happened to be Toso's own 'Son'. Of course perhaps with was not the name that she found most important.

__ Ada was troubled to hear that neither the APD nor the shinobi operatives could glean any information about Antioch's whereabouts. Kojiro's initiative was commendable, but something about his frustration worried her that he might act too rashly. Everyone was already afraid, but Selina's following insinuation did not help at all. Even so, it was best to know before anything unfortunate happened- assuming the worst hadn't already occurred. Ada felt the naturally cheerful and empathetic Selina slip toward fear as she alluded toward a frightening detail. Ada hadn't met Celene herself, but she had heard much of her as a positive influence in Arashigakure. Kojiro clearly became even more assertive in dismissing himself to his patrolling. Looking to Vala and Yarugi, Ada instructed, "Officer Yarugi, support Lieutenant Kojiro with his patrol. Officer Vala, assemble the Senko Squad and split into two more search parties. Please give it your all, for everyone's sakes." The two royal guard trainees promptly saluted their teacher when addressed. When she gave her last word and a dismissive nod the pair replied with prompt acknowledgment before instantly vanishing from the room to accomplish their orders.
About that time, she would feel Kenshin's eyes fall upon her and he'd ask of the letter delivered by the obnoxious avian from before. She remembered then that she'd stowed that letter from her family in her expansion seal for later review and likely dismissal. 'Let this be more important... please.' She silently pleaded to the man as her eyes moved across the room to Selina then Zeshin. "Sir, do you have any orders for the cadet? If not then I can give him a task." A door to the conference room opened shortly after making this deflective suggestion, and X entered the room with what she could only describe as impeccable timing. "Lady Kyuri, I've delivered your message to Arashikage Tosokurui as instructed. I'm ready to give my report to you as well." Ada smiled with appreciation for the metal man and nodded, "Please tell say that you have any good news for us..." X noted Ada's unusually positive reaction to his arrival, and felt what he'd assume to be simulated disappointment. With a short shake of his head he replied, "No, sorry ma'am. I do not. This Antioch character has somehow even eluded Azayaka's independent security feeds throughout the village. I acknowledge that this criminal is remarkable skilled to also evade the authorities actively searching throughout the village too." Ada's head fell slightly and she looked back to Selina with honest sadness, "I'm terribly sorry, Selina. I'll do everything I can to find Celene and bring her home safely." She could only imagine what her friend was feeling right now. The terror must have been gripping, if not outright consuming.

โฑโฐโฑSelina's question caused Kenshin to immediately reach into his memory only to be frustrated by the lack of detail. Based on her fear and tone, Kenshin suspected that she was referring to Celene as the target because of their similar appearance. But why threaten Ada as well if he was threatening Celene? That was a question that sat with him but was not vocalized outwardly or even internally. Pushing the subconscious thought aside, he would answer Selina's question by immediately taking action. He stood and placed a radio to his lips to alert the central command units. Kojiro immediately took action by assembling a patrol which was then bolstered by Ada's subordinates. "Assemble a large squadron of officers and the Kage's ANBU. Keep them on standby, but ready to deploy with me when I give the order." Kenshin raised his eyebrow at Kojiro's initiative regarding the matter. His facial expression and overall conduct were reflective of himself when he thought that Ada and Selina's security may be compromised. He suspected that there may be more to his feelings but did not have enough time to ruminate on the matter further. He closed his white eyes before reopening them as a glowing dark blue. His Tenseigan tracked Kojiro and his squad before he tried searching for and remembering Selina's address. As his mind's eye frantically searched for Celene's home while also being cognizant of keeping track of Kojiro and Yarugi he seemed to look over at Selina. "Celene was safe in your home before we left to find you. I'm watching Kojiro's squad, if your home has a trail to Antioch's location then I'll lead the APD and ANBU backup squad that's being assembled now. The plan is for Kojiro's squad to find him and then our reinforcements can overwhelm him." After Kenshin spoke to Selina, more officers entered the conference room. Kenshin quickly affirmed the choices of particular officers and agents before they rushed back out to call all of them in. As much as he was tempted to rush over there with Kojiro, the captain was anxious to get the reinforcement squad up and running and had to remain in the precinct. At this point, he completely forgot the question he asked Ada before and barely remembered her question about the cadet. "By all means, give the cadet whatever you have." Kenshin said to Ada offhandedly as the subject returned to his mind before refocusing his sight on Kojiro's squad again. X's report to Ada was frustrating but unsurprising given the failure of all agencies to locate the criminal. "I don't recommend that we all go out there at once after one man because it might alert him early which would be unsafe in a hostage situation. If that patrol finds him then we can be there to support them in minutes. Kojiro alone is powerful enough to keep Antioch busy for at least that long. Also, the ANBU are still surveying areas like the Black Cloud District in case he appears. I advise that you both join me in the reinforcement squad." Kenshin tried to remember more details as the new plan was set in motion while speaking to Ada, Selina, and X. The APD and ANBU were acting quickly yet decisively and there was always the possibility that Celene was still safe at home. He was unsure what Ada's plan was but he wanted to place his input to ensure a successful mission either way. "What you both need to look out for is a very deformed man carrying a sickle. He has a high level of chakra and he somehow has the ability to render certain kekkei genkai inert. He was able to disable my Byakugan and advanced Hatake chidori techniques but not my Raiu skills." While he knew that Antioch was very powerful as a shinobi the exact nature of his abilities was enigmatic at best. He then waited to hear Ada and Selina's responses while more officers hurriedly came in and out of the room to consult Kenshin on details regarding the reinforcement squad's formulation.

Nuibari Attributes โข Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. โข Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.

Any additional slots that would be awarded for their class's styles are converted into a 2 point increase in any stats of their choosing. In addition, these masters of their arts are able to have a 1 point increase in their stats cap of 8 making it 9. Styles granted from rewards may be learned but do not carry the overwhelming property and the user is capped out at 5 styles.

This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitล Otchi no Sumittinguburฤdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibฤ ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

X remained a few feet from the door he entered, doing his best to stay out of the way of traffic. The Captain's observation of the situation regarding Celene couldn't be more astute. Antioch was an illusive figure who even Kenshin regarded with the kind of respect one would give their arch enemy. It was right to treat all criminals with such scrutiny. Ada paused to think for a moment after hearing the part about their perpetrator's abilities. 'He can even seal Evergreen's gift to Kenshin? What is this... bad feeling?' While he wasn't wrong that staying together was a worthwhile advisory, Ada worried that they were playing this game to the mastermind's design. She wouldn't be someone else's piece of the board in a game she had no love for. Looking to Kenshin, Ada replied with a salute, "Captain, I must see to an urgent... project at Azayaka's headquarters. X and cadet Zeshin will accompany me. We will regroup with you and the others immediately after." X quickly realized what Ada was referring to for the first time to anyone outside of her research and development labs. He kept quiet, knowing that she was only withholding information to avoid any disappointments or potential information leaks. Ada lowered her salute then summoned a small scroll to roll across the table to Kenshin. "Sir, if officer Yarugi is unable to summon me, please use that instead." She knew that she should wait for approval, but if Lieutenant Kojiro could take his own course of affirmative action then she felt at equal liberty. Ada offered a short bow to dismiss herself and motioned for Zeshin to follow. X would occupy the rear of their small party as they headed out into Arashigakure toward their next destination.

Zeshin's eyes followed everyone around the room and he listened for anything at all while waiting for something to be directed towards him. In the beginning, it was indirect as Ada mentioned his name and a task which the captain then allowed her to assign something to him. After a few short moments, he was being drawn to her to follow. It wasn't an order, but it was an assignment and he'd follow Ada without much delay. "Yes, sir. Please excuse me." He would straighten his body and give a respectful bow before following Ada from the office.
Shaking her head, Kagerou assured Maeko, "That shouldn't be necessary. Now, please relax." Bells on her wrist ringing, Kagerou took a moment to cast a few hand signs and then placed a glowing hand upon Maeko's head. Her chakra probed into the internal structure of Maeko's cranium.
