"Do you work out? That might help," Micah offered, practical. "Gym's pretty good here, I guess because it's gotta be used a lot." "I don't know," he admitted, frowning a little and thinking it over. "I mean, the weapons got weird powers, but that's not us having weird powers. Is it? You notice anything?"

"The amazing super power of being rich enough to buy all your cool toys," Lin snorted. She sounded amused more than angry about it, though. "I guess it wouldn't be much fun to read if they couldn't get all their cool toys." She made an inquisitive noise and her eyes went briefly unfocused. Anax, can you make me stronger or faster or anything?I do, the weapon grumbled, unimpressed by the question. "Huh. Anax says the same."

Luka's declaration had him laughing, a happiness shining in his gaze that was seldom present, these days. She was Italian as well! It was the first person he had spoken to since he woke up like this that was, and excitement at knowing as much thrummed through him, so that when he spoke again it was back in Italian once more. " Fantastico! Mi fa molto piacere, ne sono felice." He grinned, and reached up just to adjust his beanie, which he did often when he was excited. She was replying to him in English, and he listened attentively. It wasn't like talking to Nick, who just spoke to him like he understood everything when he honestly had no clue what was going on most of the time but just went along with it anyways. She spoke slowly, giving him time to process each word, and he nodded, his grin widening. "Si, si! Per favore aiutatemi!" He nodded more, and reached out to grasp for one of her hands in his. "Questo mi piacerebbe." And then, "You are hero."

"I dunno, I never really thought about it." Ever pulled his own pale brows together in the middle of his forehead while he -- perhaps -- tried to remember. He wasn't prone to noticing the little things. It was possible he hadn't even noticed the color change. So he let the idea go. "He definitely didn't have a beard, though." Something about the idea made Ever smile, all at once. "I don't think he could have grown one if he wanted. So he had it easy in that regard..."

Dottie snorted. "Aren't we already basically superheros now? Super strength, a magical shield? Besides, I was kicking a** before I even got here. I don't need any of that s**t. And what the ******** is wrong with what I'm already wearing?" She looked down to her attire, which was, as far as she was concerned, totally bad a**. But, if she had to come up with an answer. "All I'm really missing is money. Maybe I should just be rich like that Batman guy." Her lips pulled up into a smirk. "And you could try and seduce me into giving it all to you."

If he dyed his hair regularly he was pretty sure he wouldn't bother with the brows. Sounded like a recipe for disaster and too much upkeep.
Definitely not worth the effort without magic powers.
"Beard are pretty dope, but y'know I'm a bit biased." And at least his came in pretty decent.

"I can't really grow a beard either." He slid a hand over his own cheek, slowly shaking his head. Ever didn't seem upset about it, though, not really. Didn't pay to be upset by the way he looked; it was what it was. "Just all pale baby hairs. Not the most masculine look. Though it'd probably take the color really well..."

Another piece of Iskander's brownie was broken off and passed over to Nick with a relaxed sort of smile before his gaze moved back to Lena. She was sort of red; he wasn't sure why that was, although he possibly could have guessed, Iskander's smile growing.
"True," he said with a laugh. "It'd be terrible to be stuck under anything. Super strength could get you out of like, terrible accidents and getting stuck places. And well, okay, yes, risk and all that, but there are like, monsters out in these places, right?"
Iskander nudged Lena's foot with the toe of a boot. "Superhero costume, go. You too, Nick. How badass would you look?"

Merric shifted a little uncomfortably. "I...I mean, I train," he hedged, a flush starting to make its way across his face. "I've never...really worked out, I honestly didn't even know there was a gym here, but I suppose that's...that's good to know."
Maybe he should make use of it. Merric cleared his throat, ignoring Rinzler's support of this idea, and shook his head. "Not really. Other than the..." He made a gesture, fingers fluttering beside his head to indicate the weapon bond. "...you know, but that's about it. Are we supposed to have more powers?"

Oh. Seeing Tommy smile made her feel warm, delighted and she found herself flushing happily as he excitedly spoke.
Tommy was delighted and it made her feel relaxed. She had heard some of the other hunters around speaking in other languages but it was nice to know someone besides her sister who knew Italian.
Following what he was saying was relatively easy and she laughed, trying not to flush under the compliment. "Mi piacerebbe aiutare. Possiamo iniziare questa settimana?" Luka replied just as animatedly as her companion.
You are hero.
Oh. Yeah that made her flush and she shook her head.
"I - " She hesitated. "I am not, but I want to be." One day. It was one of the many reasons she became a hunter.

"Colorful, definitely. Gotta let the bad guys know you're coming." Her finger slid to tap against the bottom of her chin as she thought about it a little longer. Iskander's grin was infectious and even rough Nick's language had her feeling at ease - nothing formal, nothing fancy, just a few strangers coming together for some fun chat, right?
Color was definitely a requirement for the creative teen. Something to match her hair would be a plus, but not necessary. "No capes. They're too cheesy. What material would you guys choose? Never thought about superheroes having to do laundry."
Did they outsource it, maybe?

He pondered whether or not he should do anything other than shake her hand-- kiss her knuckles, perhaps,flirt and woo. Deciding against it, he gave her hand a gentle squeeze and a light shake before releasing it, letting his hand drop back down to his side. "Hm. Me? Telekinesis, maybe? Or maybe the power to move people... With song." He wasn't entirely sure whether or not she would get the reference. Honestly, how many people were there on the island of Deus actually listened to Tenacious D? Would she be familiar enough with the song Wonderboy to even crack a smile? In the event she wasn't, he added on another question quickly. "So what's the first animal you'd morph into?"

"They're pretty smart too." Kammy offered, trying to think of other pros about them. "So they can think their way out of tons of situations." "Nice, although I haven't tested to see if I have any super secret abilities. Hmm, maybe we do have extra secret abilities besides being stronger and stuff. " She asked Kazue

Truth be told Zane didn't know he could grow a beard until he did. A benefit of being too lazy to bother with shaving. Though it was in it's itchy phase and he debated convincing someone to let him use the first floor facilities instead of the basement.
But effort.
"Definitely, no bleaching for you yeah? Bright colors would look nice. You don't need a beard though, think it'd detract from..." He trailed off just waving a hand at the man as if that said enough.

"You got that confidence girl, that's all you need.." Cee nodded agreement. Besides that she was totally right about the super powers they already had. "I mean I wouldn't be against some freeze breath'r something though. Maybe lazer eyes." Cee cast a glance around the room for someone to lazer eye. "Maybe invisibility.."
