HP: 7/20 (thank you Scorpa!!!) Military Grade Partisan Support Trinket A: 1/1
Lorata stood in the intersection of the hallway she'd chosen to lead the Sirens down and tried to shove down an ever growing feeling of rage and panic as she realized that it was all dead ends. They wouldn't find another way up to the control rooms from here, and as if that wasn't bad enough, one of the dead ends had been filled with those horrible troll bots. She was tired and in pain, but she brought up her partisan to fight their way back through. They couldn't stop here, they just couldn't.
Unfortunately pain made reactions come slower, and one bot got past the guard of her long weapon to tackle her to the ground. With an angry cry, she managed to knock it free and stab it down, but the damage had been done. They couldn't afford to stop here, but she didn't know if...
Blinking back tears, she thanked Scorpa for her medical attention and tried to tell herself that they were all going to make it.
There were so many bots and Amonee didn't want to know what would happened if he got too close to them. The jadeblood kept his distance, continuing along a wall and trying to move as quietly as possible. His stint with the lasers in the last room still had him fueled with anxiety but he needed to focus and forget about that. The clock was still ticking and he and Nucleo were both not doing great health-wise. But if they stuck together and kept their eyes on the end goal, everything would be okay. Disaster was not going to rain down on them, they were going to be strong and beat this!
"Why is it laughing?" A snickering around alerted him to a trollbot that pointed and jeered at him. Amonee flushed green in the cheeks at the mocking but couldn't figure out why it was picking on him. What was it's problem? Annoyed, since he was a trailblazer in beauty and fashion, he walked on with his nose in the air, unaware that his toga was flipped up in the back and revealing his underwear in a spectacularly moronic way.
Stupid trollbot just didn't understand fashion he supposed.

"Scorpa, you're back!" Flydra's eyes lit up at the sight of the yellowblood's return and she embraced the girl back. They were all together again. When the sirens were with each other, they were invincible. The tealblood followed her friends with a dreamy smile and renewed spirit. Sure there was an army of trollbots in the way between them and the door but they could handle this. There was nothing they couldn't do together. Nodding to Hydraddy, she motioned for her lusus to charge through and create a path by knocking bots out of the way. This worked well enough and long pigtails trailed behind as she ran through the gap.
Not fast enough.
"Hcck- let go!" Something clasped around her neck from behind and raised the girl into the air. Hands clamped onto her head and began to push and pull at it from side to side and she gasped for breath in her disoriented state. W-why was this happening? She struggled in the trollbots' grasp, kicking and swinging wildly but to no avail. She couldn't break free. The sight of the other sirens glancing back to see her in this pathetic humiliated state was too much.
"K-keep going!" Her voice came out in a rough gasp and her eyes closed. It stung but not as badly as the realization that hit her just as the bot released her and dropped her to the ground.
She was no hero. Just another fallen failure.

Her body would recover. She knew this from sweeps of study on troll biology. As long as the building didn't explode, these injuries would not end her life. The problem was her drive and her emotions. It all felt so tiring after what they'd been through. Pulling herself back on her feet felt impossible right now and she laid on the ground feeling pitiful and depressed. She'd been the first to fall. Of course! Scorpa and Austri were so much stronger than her, so much more capable of protecting Lorata. She shouldn't let her pride get in the way of this, it was a good thing that her friends were so competent but...
'I'm not in their league.' Flydra thought to herself uncomfortably. 'Not yet.' But once she got through this, once they escaped... maybe she'd get there. She needed to apply herself better. This time not just to books and laboratory experiments but physical fitness and weapons training.
She would not give up. She would answer the sirens call and stand with them. For now, she rested.
Chiara is attacking Half-constructed Tower and Going Left If you rolled a 5, as you push and claw your way through the melee, a bot lying on the ground clamps it's jaws around your ankle and gets dragged a few steps before you can kick it off. Take 2 dmg. Hp:0/20 Damage Dealt: (+1) 6 Artifact Support A 0/1 Second Wind 1/1 you roll 1d4, if you get a 1 or a 4, you get half health back
Chiara had her grin on. She wasn't feeling near as good as when she had started this building besiege, but she wasn't about to show it. The blueblood stomped ahead of her teammates. As long as she looked and acted like she could still fight, she could. The blueblood entered yet another fork in the hallway. Without waiting for her teammates' opinions she chose a path and continued her confident hike ever forward. Chiara finally fell down, and tried to get back. Her weak attempt to get up failed and she slipped back down to the floor. Chiara coughed, and a puddle of blue blood fell to the floor.

“S-Seriously?” Ephias snarled, as the droid struggled to pull its horns free. “Get off!” He aimed another kick towards its metal body. His boot clanged harmlessly against the robot's chest and a sharp pain shot through his foot. He seemed to be doing more damage to himself than his aggressor. He needed to think rationally.
Swallowing his budding irritation, Ephias stopped thrashing. Working slowly against the robot's own flailing movements, he attempted to wiggle downward and free. A metal fist connected with his gut. He merely grimaced and focused on his task. Soon one arm was free—then the other.

At last he escaped. Dropping to the floor, Ephias fell into a crouch. He half rolled, half crawled out of reach. When he was a safe distance away, he rose to his feet, shears in hand. Meanwhile the droid was still stuck in the wall, struggling furiously. Ephias' mouth tightened. He clamped the shears shut. Stepping around to the droid's back, he drew back his arm. Then he plunged the blades into its core.
He saw a flash of light, followed by a loud crack. Then the bot slumped over, sparks bouncing over its metal body. With a yank, Ephias tugged his shears free. He continued down the hall without so much as looking back.

Chiara had been slumped against the wall for a while now. She had crawled into a corner, and tried not to be noticed. The blueblood focused on the breaths that kept her alive. Breathing in, breathing out. Its all her mind could really focus on, as she tried to ignore the pulsing pain in her ankle. The burns started to sting less, finally giving her relief in one area of her body. As soon as she sighed out in relief her chest felt the muscles in her back spasm. The electric shocks she had received earlier had messed with her muscles. The blueblood managed to maneuver her okay arm to her back and massage the muscles into realizing, if only for a bit.

Boss Attack
The corridor ahead has floor tiles that glow with a light emitting from under them. There are blue-hued tiles, red-hued, yellow-hued, teal .. why the entire hemospectrum is on display! How pretty. What a nice decoration.
If you rolled a 1, you step onto a red tile, which shoots up a sheat of hot flame. Running around, you eventually manage to put out your jumpsuit which, thankfully, is flame retardant. Take 5 dmg.
If you rolled a 2, you step on a yellow tile and are promptly thrown off it by the nasty electric jolt it gives you. Your hair is now incredible. Take 4 dmg.
If you rolled a 3, you step on a blue tile and the ceiling above you slams down onto your head, retreating slowly back up afterwards, leaving the innards of it's mechanisms exposed.Take 4 dmg, and deal +2 dmg.
If you rolled a 4, you step onto a green tile, which slides back, revealing the inner workings of the machine, and two large blades that scythe up towards the soles of your shoes. Take 3 dmg, and deal +2 dmg.
If you rolled a 5, you step on a purple tile, and the ceiling above you opens, dumping enough seawater and irate snipperbeasts on you to make you stagger to your knees, spitting water. Thankfully, it also seems to damage the mechanism in the floor, which begins to emit some smoke. Take 3 dmg, and deal +2 dmg.
If you rolled a 6, you step on an orange tile, and the ceiling above opens to dump a bunch of fruit on your head. Take 3 dmg. The fruit bounces off your shoulders and onto the tiles, which begin to hiss and crackle from the acidic juices. Your attack does double damage.
Psykgi Mentha 7/20 hp Damage Dealt: 8 to Half Constructed Tower Damage Taken: 3 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you Direction: Military Standard Medical Kit (Adept Artifact Support A) (0/2 Uses, heal one troll 1/2 hp) Second Wind (1/1)
Psykgi hadn't seen Chiara in a while. She was sure that, in the way that mazes sometimes ran, they would run into each other eventually later. That she hadn't seen her meant one of a few things - Chiara had found a different route through the tower, she had to retrace her steps, she was ahead of Psykgi, she'd left (somehow - they were very high up, after all), or she was badly injured. Or dead. Dead would be a shame, after all the investments she'd made in the blueblood's welfare, and Chiara in hers.
Well, gosh. Psykgi hoped she was okay. Chiara was a valuable and interesting ally, after all. If not... well, better them than her, she supposed, not that it was actually so zero sum of course. She stopped at the edge of another color tile trap and frowned at it. Blue had not been the right answer before... what about purple? She took a step, and, SPLASH.
CHOMP!
Psykgi flailed as the little fish nipped at her, flinging them off of her and into the other traps. She coughed in the smoke, waving it away with a hand as she staggered off of the trap. Gog. She hated those.
Stepping on a fairly plain green tile, Vulpin hardly expected a result like the water that assaulted them before. And really, they were quite pleased when the result didn't send anything flying out of the ceiling and towards their face. Then they felt a slight rumble underneath the tile, and gasped through their teeth as the sawblades came up in an attempt to tear up their soles.
Unacceptable! Vulpin yelled heroically, assaulting the machinery with well-placed kicks and dagger throws. The machine eventually whirred to a stop, and Vulpin let out a sigh of relief. That was way closer than they would have liked that to be.

"I'm not leaving you," Lorata had promised before stumbling on. "I'm going to turn that bomb off while you rest and then I'm coming back for you." She didn't know if Flydra would believe her or if it would just be empty words, the way Sarcel's had been on another night that had turned into a daymare, but she was determined to make it true. Just a little further and she'd save them all, she would.
The next obstacle was another hallway of colored tiles and she leaned heavily on her partisan as she tried to decide where to step. No purple nearby this time, though she would have welcomed the seawater at this point. Something good, that would lead her through safely. Something- The red reminded her of Aerona, suddenly, but when she stepped forward it left her screaming as flames rose up around her.
She didn't progress so much as fall to the other side, sobbing and nauseous with the pain and the smell of her own singed exoskeleton.

"Nothing!" Nucleo frowned. They'd encountered a dead end, which meant they'd have to backtrack. But wait, there was still that other fork in the road- the one they'd asked that other troll to investigate! Grabbing Amonee's hand, the greenblood began to race back the way they'd come. His pumpbiscuit begged for a break but his mind raced. They needed to know if there were on the right track over here or if it'd been a big waste of time! Approaching the fork once more, his question was answered pretty quickly.
Damn.
"We'd better keep running then." The greenblood said awkwardly, knowing there wasn't anything good to say about their situation now. Leading the way back, he ignored the pain in his feet and the fear in his chest.

"Wait here, I'll get help! I'll take care of this!" Flydra couldn't move, Lorata was getting close, and Austri looked like hell. Scorpa was starting to fear they weren't going to make it after all. Her thinkpan refused to accept this fate, however. She didn't care that her body felt broken. Her heavy feet felt like nothing compared to the strain in Lorata's eyes. It was hard to leave the tealblood behind but Scorpa wasn't strong enough to take her with them. Pissed, she grit her teeth and hated the failure creeping in at the edges of her mind. Following the seadweller towards the tiles, a flash of light filled her vision as Lorata caught fire. Screaming, the child ran across a yellow tile to try and tackle her leader out of it. Electricity jolted through her body and Scorpa cried in pain. Her body's momentum kept her moving in a forward direction but her mind temporarily shut down. Collapsed in a heap at Lorata's feet, Scorpa lay motionless.
Disoriented and dazed, her eyes opened to florescent lights. What'd happened?
"Lorata?" Scorpa's voice sounded distant from herself. A familiar pattern of feet skittered across her chest, stopping in front of her face. Prada stared at her in disappointment.
"No!" Jolting upright, the yellowblood whipped her head around, looking for her companions. She would not fail here. She would not meet those little eyes. Jumping to her feet, Scorpa felt her pumpbiscuit beat faster than ever. No no no! It wasn't over until she was dead! And tonight, she had no plans to be.
