His lusus followed the scientist's cooing, finding them again, in fetal position on the ground. Lanata approached them cautiously, Poe close behind, his fingers tangled in her wool nervously. What were they doing...? Suddenly the scientist attacked, flinging a stapler and pushing it against Poe and his lusus uselessly, Lanata flinching back from the attack. "Hey! That's not nice!" Poe said, clinging back to his lusus. Lanata charged against the scientist, pinning them successfully. Poe turned to Mahmud and gave a thumbs up, thankful for the cheering and support from the other troll. He was a great guy with a great lusus!
Poe dealt 6 damage to the rogue scientist.

Hivestuck Name: Caiden Activity: Troll Relations Resources gained: +3 research Caiden was all grins and cheer after giving his "speech", he spotted trolls who were a little happier, and felt himself glow with pride. Then he saw a small yellowblood who looked terribly sad. Caiden stepped back and forth from foot to foot, feeling unsure on what to do. He saw Forara with the kid, and felt his anxiety melt away. The kid was with someone cool, Caiden was sure the tealblood would help him feel better. Caiden had an idea, and went to retrieve a piece of paper, ignoring the notes and research it had one one side. He drew a picture and then neared the two trolls. "Umm... I GOT THIS FOR YOU!" The brownblood yelled, he thrust the drawing into the yellowblood's hands and scurried away.

Mahmud HADILL SESHAT is fighting the ROGUE SCIENTISTA thumbs up! He was doing good! Even if he wasn't actively trying to "help" the scientist himself, he was more than happy being supportive. That is, until that rampaging buttface put a staple right in Harpommy's head, illiciting a distressed coo.
"OMMY!"
Panicked, trying to think of what to do, his eyes fell to a book that had toppled over to the floor. "Aha!" What happened next was... uneventful, and went about as well as one could imagine. Mahmud threw the book at the scientist's head, they wigged out once more, and started going staple happy even further. "Watch out! They have a stapler!"
No crap Mahmud. No crap they had a stapler.
HP: 24
Damage dealt: 1 Dmg + 0 = 1

"YOU HAVE VIOLATED REGULATION D-8-5098 CODE FIREFIGHTING. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF FIRE SUBSUMING DEVICE", yet another robot bellowed. Rastin's voice caught in the back of his throat and his brows furrowed in fury.
"ARE YOU ******** KIDDING ME?!" He shrieked, lunging toward the robots in-spite of his better judgement. "HE'S A CHILD, LEAVE HIM ALONE, YOU HUNKS OF USELESS META-"
Luckily, Maku stepped in before Rastin could do any permanent damage to his hands trying to pry the robots off of Sephos and interrupted him mid-screech. The teenager stepped back a pace, eyes wide, and slowly nodded toward the Lusus. Then, his attention was right back to Sephos.

Etsali is attacking the scientist!
HP: 10/20
Damage: 1+1= 2
Etsali slipped back out of the office she'd holed up in, most of the files right back where she'd found them with the exception of a few she'd stowed away in her bag instead. As she made her way back into the hallway, she was kind of surprised to see there was still a crowd around that one lab. She'd lost track of time in there and had been near positive that the fight would be over by now. Was the meltdown still happening? Against her better judgement, she went to poke her head in and see. It was a bad idea.
There was a battle cry, a crash. Obviously it was better not to stick around. She did pause before fleeing, though, at the sight of a familiar face. Luxara had gotten pulled into this mess? Huh. The thief raised a hand to wave from the doorway and hoped that didn't mean a poke in the eye for the greenblood or anything.

"Yo!" Luxara flipped backwards at the scientist trying to go for her legs. "I don't think so!" In all honesty, staples to the leg were nothing compared to what others were trying to do to the scientist in the efforts to subdue them. Still smarted, though. She wasn't looking forward to pulling them out later, like thorns or something. They were bad enough to deal with in paper, to start with! Jeez.
Hopefully the dude would run out of staples before there were too many more injuries. The greenblood, meanwhile, hoped to not run out of bolts. An eye for an eye though. She positioned, and when she found a good shot, fired. It would probably hurt a good deal, from the angle she was at: right at the neck. Now if only they would go down.

"Hey! Be careful Mahmud!" Poe said, as the scientist went to snatch their stray stapler again. They really liked that thing! And it was dangerous, like Poe's own weapon. Lanata pinned the scientist down on the ground and stepped on top of them. She sat, keeping them firmly underneath her body, where she could give them the deep pressure they clearly needed to calm down. From under her soft wool, they could be heard moaning and crying, finally subdued.
Poe saw a familiar person out of the corner of his eye. Luxara! The other nice shooty lady. He didn't realize she had come too. He ran over to her, distracted by their apparent victory, and gave her a high five! "We did it!" he said excitedly.
Poe dealt 5 damage to the rogue scientist.

You are commended for your correction. +6 research Sephos ducked behind Maku again as the scientist rushed out, watching him go with wide eyes. He hoped the guy would be okay. Sort of. He thought. He peeked out at Rastin and nodded. "... Yeah." he said, giving himself a brief lookover, "Yeah, I think so..."Maku was moving faster than usual now, his thorned tendrils waving around, seeking something to sink themselves into. They were not meant to be inactive for long - instinct was driving Maku to lash out with them. Instinct was also driving Maku to hold back and be defensive. Instinct was also calling him out to greet the sun and feed. Conflicting drives meant that he had to distract himself - he wrapped his roots around an object and moved it a little, easing the tension he felt at keeping them still. Incidentally, he had just fixed an error. "Do you mind, uh, helping me get back to the dorms?" Sephos said, looking nervously down the hallway towards the sounds of robotic cries and rustling paper, "If there's more of those things..."(Sephos also transfers 40 labor to Facility 1)

Hivestuck Name: Eilidh Rosach Activity: Strength Resources gained: +2 morale, +2 labor + P Upon making it back to the central hub, Eilidh was asked to help out with unloading scores of trundlebuggies. While she helped them get the provisions to the main base, she noticed something odd... peculiar. Keeping it for the moment, she moved to finish up what she'd been asked to do before considering rushing over to show her team what she found. Eilidh smiled, feeling like today was a pretty good... or dare she say, lucky. She felt helpful for once and hopefully what she found would be just as helpful. Once all was done with the trundlebuggies, Eilidh began her path to find someone to share her discovery with.

It was still Maku, and Maku was still protecting him, and he still loved Maku... but... the sooner that Maku could go somewhere else and be... what he was... the better, to be honest. "Hurry up a little..."
